781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Nordic Law Firm Begin Accepting Bitcoin Payments For Legal Services on: October 12, 2017, 07:15:17 PM
Nordic Law, a Helsinki, Finland based law firm specializing in business and tax law, made the announcement today on both Twitter and their company website that they are now accepting Bitcoin as a method of payment for their legal services. In what appears to be a first for a law firm accepting Bitcoin, the company says that they have long assisted various domestic entities working within virtual currency markets, especially in dealing with tax issues which arise. Another major reason for the firm’s decision to accept Bitcoin payments would appear to be a growing interest from clients outside the Finnish border.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO 12th October] 🔶 Exxor - Next Generation IOT 🔶 on: October 12, 2017, 07:15:10 PM
The release of the software will not be before November/December 2018? Did I get it right? Does this mean you have not implemented anything yet or can you provide a Github respository to demonstrate the MVP and to let us observe development progress?
You are planning an interesting product but you do not provide much information to raise up to 23 million $. The opening post is very simple and should be overworked.

Hello, everyone.

Everyone who has any doubts about the project please contact us directly via our Telegram  or website's cat which is working and already active. Alternatively, you can meet us at our office in London and we would be more than happy to have a chat with you.

We would also like to point out that DAG isn't something that belongs to IOTA or that all IoT projects are just copies of IOTA.
Exxor will not be competing with IOTA nor we ever intended to do so. While our technologies may have some similarities from technical point of view, yet we are fundamentally different with our approach in seeking to provide tangible, effective and tailored solutions to businesses who will inevitably be using IoT solutions in the near future. Some of them might eventually switch to IOTA, but we believe there is going to be a market of users who would benefit from having their own network.

We understand that we may not be able to reach the scale and levels of adoption as IOTA, and its not our objective in any sense, as mentioned previously. Thus, developing a working interface for M2M transactions which can be easily adopted by businesses is something that takes time, yet is easier to achieve on a smaller scale. Therefore, we believe this is another difference that separates us from IOTA

We would like to kindly ask people who are calling us phony and making other baseless accusations, to refrain from doing so in this thread, because it is not only unnecessary damaging our brand but is also staining the whole community.

Regards, Exxor Team

784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: October 06, 2017, 08:10:51 PM
An ICO and much investment into an ICO from a particular crypto currency does not necessarily mean that the price rises. I have observed several such constellations and almost every time the price of the currency decreased. I think it is because new investors do not invest with the particular currency but rather using others they already own. And some of the currencies invested are immediately exchanged to Bitcoin or Ethereum so the price is slightly dumping so or so.

Wow 52 million USD already raised by COMSA ICO! 14 million of it from XEM alone. Amazing...

For anybody curious, here's the NEM wallet:
http://explorer.ournem.com/#/s_account?account=NCBSLPAYFLLDAPRIUQNOY6EVJESCSVNDDDCSEIQT

Strange. $14 million worth of XEM. I taught we would get a bounce in the price of NEM when this sale started but obviously the buyers are not getting their Nem on the exchanges. The worry now is, are COMSA going to dump their new found wealth on the exchanges. Polo at least cant take any kind of sell pressure before a collapse of the price. Theres only 150btc stopping a crash to 600 sats. I haven't checked the orderbook of the other exchanges.
btw this problem will repeat on every new ICO that Comsa runs.
Each company wants $$$$ to get going and the only way to get it is sell the NEM you raise
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW | Oracle | Smart Contracts] on: October 06, 2017, 07:55:04 PM
In the future there will flow more and more money into crypto. Look at the statements of Lloyd Blankfein (Goldman Sachs boss) who plans to invest more into digital currencies on request of its customers. The gains for conventional business is decreasing and banks looking for new ways to make money. Crypto coins is one of the main options for them. A little more regulation and big money will come into the domain. I do not want to judge if it is good or not, but it will happen. I am certain of it.

I'm Curious why so many AE tokens/Coins were created to begin with?

I have analyzed all coins with an excess of 200 Million Coins and none of them are close to $1 USD except for Steem.  That's approximately 1 out of 200 coins.  In some respects, its a bit like inflation.  More coins = devaluing the value of each coin (similar with what is happening with the banking system).

Please explain.  Thank you!

You are right. I noticed it too late. The token were sold overpriced.

If the amount of money entering the crypto space was to remain stagnant, then you would have a point. Fortunately for all of us, new money is constantly flowing into the crypto space. By Q1 2018, the market cap might be $200 billion. As the market cap continues to grow, so with the cap for the individual coins. I like this project. Everyone is raving about EOS, but I'm putting my money on Aeternity.

I am using Ledger Nano stick. Are there any plans to integrate NEM/XEM into Ledger stick as well? It would be awesome.
If it will happen in next months I will wait, otherwise I am going to buy a Trezor wallet, too, because I mostly use my Ledger wallet for four other coins where integration already exist.

Excellent, may have to buy another trezor just for NEM!

788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Goldman Sachs Said to Be Exploring Bitcoin Venture on: October 03, 2017, 02:05:42 PM
Goldman Sachs is said to be exploring how it could help clients trade bitcoin and other digital currencies. According to the video, Goldman Sachs is considering Bitcoin investments because the clients require to do so. Do you think this will be start of a broader acceptance of Bitcoin and other crypto currencies?
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - 1st Stable fork of Ethereum on: September 30, 2017, 10:01:03 PM
Expanse is a fork of Ethereum. But why does it has a current supply of approx 7 million coins and a max supply of 16 million coins (according to coinmarketcap)? When it was forked Ethereum must have had around 20 million coins. How does it fit together?

Generally, I would like to know what Expanse differs from Ethereum? I read some text and get know about differences but nothing that let me really increase my stake. Did I miss something?

Thanks!
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: September 30, 2017, 09:28:29 PM
I am more interested into the news the coming up which pushes the price. The price has been pumped by 20% in the last 24hrs. Either there is some real good news coming up or all the speculators are jumping into the coin based on some rumors. I attempted to find some information but I found nothing that is worth a bigger price increase. Maybe I missed some information.

Korecoin, big updates coming soon and very low market cap!

100X might be a bit of a stretch but I believe that is the case for any coin unless its market cap is less than 500k and those are a huge gamble.

I agree.
This one is a true hidden gem.
X100 is a stretch, but at currently $10MM mcap, we can expect a good x20 soon.

I am buying more of this one everytime I can

How come I did not heard of this coin from the other speculation threads? What is special about this coin that you said it has a chance to be a good long term investment coin?
791  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Fork on: September 30, 2017, 08:56:58 PM

792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | Nxt | Blockchain Platform | Proof of Stake | Official on: September 30, 2017, 07:08:05 PM
Is there a Nxt light wallet around? I have spent a day now to download the entire blockchain of the full client and there are still 150k blocks left. My current internet connection is not the best. To bypass this I would like to use a light wallet for urgent transactions.

edit: Thanks I found a way by updating the nxt.properties file at parameter nxt.isLightClient from false to true.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: September 30, 2017, 05:57:15 PM
I tried it but it did not work or I did something wrong. Can you give an example how to request data from dev.pywaves.org?
I would give the person 1 Wave who can provide me all transactions of a particular account (around 300 txs alltogether) in form of a API request.

Thanks, I have already thought about it. But I think, it is not worth all the work just to get a one time list of all my transactions. Also I do not have a VPS and the technical skills to set up a node. On my search I came across the Waves Github wiki with API description. I can retrieve an open node with GET /transactions/address/{address}/limit/{limit} to get the data. Is there a list of open nodes I can use? Would be very helpful.

Does anyone know a way to simply get the complete transaction history of an account?

In the Chrome Waves client you can only see the last 50 transactions, as well as on wavesexplorer.com. With WavesGo.com I only see the transactions of the last 150 days back.
I'm not sure if It's going to work or not, Try running your own Waves node. You should be able to run your own explorer as well, You could get all transactions list there.

I think dev.pywaves.org allows API requests.

If the context David added is true, then it is the right decision to stop cooperation. There is a conflict of interests when he is also concerned about other projects. They should find a PR professional, who is concerned exclusively with IOTA in the crypto world.

Highly praised PR manager leaves IOTA after just 5 weeks

Okay, I found a list of nodes now on http://dev.pywaves.org/nodes/

But it seems the API of open nodes does only allow to request real-time market data. I can get data such as symbols, markets and trades but no address info, balance or transactions as described in the Github wiki https://github.com/wavesplatform/Waves/wiki/Waves-Node-REST-API#transactions

Any help on this?

I recommend to take a look at the mobile app of Cindicator. You can download it freely on Apple or Google store for your mobile phone. The already existing app was one of the main reasons why I am convinced about the project.

How is cindicator going to use Ai with it's token. I can't see any parallel tech here. People in crypto love to throw words around without having a full grasp of what it means!

799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: September 27, 2017, 06:20:24 PM
Thanks, it says the following:

IGNIS and ARDR coins will be allocated to user accounts in the Ardor genesis block. Their distribution will be based on a one-time snapshot conducted over the Nxt blockchain (the "Ardor Genesis Snapshot"), to be performed shortly before the Ardor launch...

The Jelurida roadmap says the mainnet launch is in Q4. Q4 is pretty general. It could somewhere between Oktober and December. Since I think that it will not be done before the ICO ended, then the time frame will be between 04th November and 31st December. Still a wide range in my opinion. Can't it be defined more exactly, can it?

When will the IGNIS Snapshot be? I have read several dates and I want to make sure. I keep some Nxt. As far as I understand, the Nxt must be held up to the snapshot. Is that correct? Thanks for the support.

All timeline you can find at www.jelurida.com/ico Nxt must be held in account you control, as no one exchange confirmed, that will help with the snapshot and distribution. And it will be one time snapshot.

Hello I have a few questions about the project and would be grateful if someone could answer this. I would like to take part in the ICO and would like to know the questions.

I've read the whitepaper and viewed the web page. As far as I've seen there is still no company. Is it planned to start a company in Germany or Austria? If yes, when?

When will the dividends be paid out? Monthly? Quarterly? And will the dividends be paid in Ether?
