1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 03, 2024, 10:17:53 AM
15 years ago, a revolution to free the world from the bonds of fiat currency began!

Thank you to everyone who helped push that agenda forward, and especially to Satoshi Nakamoto who selflessly spawned this beacon of hope that Bitcoin is for millions of people around the world.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2023, 06:21:19 PM
If BTC/USD finishes above 40,000 for this week, that would mark the 4th in history that eight weekly candles in a row are formed.

This happened during the 2nd bull market of 2013 which took Bitcoin from 50 USD to 1200 USD.

I happened in the end of 2015 which marked the transition from Bitcoin's bear market to the 2016-2017 bull market, the bull market that took Bitcoin from 200 USD to 20,00.

And last time it happened was in the above-mentioned 2016-2017 bull market when Bitcoin crossed the ATH price reached in December 2013. The following six month, Bitcoin went from 3,000 USD to 20,000 USD.

So two out of three times, eight candles have been followed by exponential bull markets. And one time it has marked the peak of a bull market.

It's also worth noting that nine consecutive green weekly candles have never occurred.

The bitcoin price is crazy af  Shocked and there is no sign of correction.  Shocked

8 Weeks Streak  Shocked

If we close above 40.000 on midnight this Sunday, we'll have eight green weekly candles in a row. That has only happened a few times in history. All of which have been followed by exponential rallys.

8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mutator Sets: new approach to Decentralized Scalable Privacy on: November 07, 2023, 11:53:34 PM
If anyone here that's interested in privacy and scalability has time to watch this talk or read the paper, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about this approach.

Co-author here. I believe Peter Todd suggested to include an MMR of the UTXO set in the Bitcoin block header? This data structure does something very similar but adds privacy by cryptographically hiding the link between removals and additions to the mutator set.
9  Economy / Economics / Comparing Bitcoin to the Euro and other fiat currencies on: November 03, 2016, 05:11:52 PM

I recently held a presentation for the European Movement in Finland comparing the qualities of Bitcoin to the Euro and other fiat currencies. As many of you know there are six to seven characteristics (depending on whom you ask) that a succesful currency must have. I discuss that and also take about how Bitcoin can return the political system that we had in Western Europe in the beginning of the 20th century.

Let me hear what you think Smiley

Success!

Quote from: Faysal Hanneche
Hello to all of you, I’m from 11:00 p.m. (French time) at the South Pole. I was very well received and I have very good vibration. After a good meal and heat, I was invited to visit the US base Amudsen Scott and i also very well received. It’s cold, it falls below -30 ° C and I am very tired. I have a plane this morning for the base Union Glacier and afterwards another plane to Punta Arenas in Chile. Before going to bed, I went to the place where is the point indicating the South Pole to take some pictures with the flags of my partners who trusted me and I thank the form of the heart.

I also took the time to gather myself alone and remind myself the progress so far. My head is spinning a little to see the world but I do feel that the positive waves: it’s a good drunk. Friendship to all of you from the South Pole.

That is what he told me on the phone (he left a voicemail for me). He told me that he would get pictures of the flag from the South Pole and that he would also get pictures of my company's logo, Sirius Money, from the South Pole. He also told me that he would try to call me tomorrow.

15  Other / Off-topic / Re: The happy BTC circular donation thread on: August 24, 2014, 10:21:57 AM
I have decided to pass my 1 btc that Risto Pietilä gave me on to the community. I would also like to throw in a little bit myself.

I would like to donate 500 mBTC to Andres Moreno, "Pruden" on this forum, who is running Sirius Iberia together with me, a Spanish Bitcoin broker service. He is one of the most honest and structured persons I know and I look forward to cooperating with him. I would also like to donate 500 mBTC to Vedran Kajic from Croatia, "bSpend" on this forum, whom I met in Copenhagen. He lived here for two weeks where he tried to survive on bitcoins only. He is working on a project of revolutionizing the bitcoin broker business in Croatia and I have made some contacts for him facilitating this (I can't tell yet, it is still a secret). I would like to support a growing Bitcoin interest in Croatia. Vedran also runs bSpend which is a bitcoin market place.

Last but not least, I would like to donate some bitcoins to the person that has given me the most contacts, given me a lot of awesome experience, and has presented me to a lot of economic and monetary theory. That guy is Risto Pietilä. Without him, I would never have met Andrés Moreno, Jeremias Kangas, Michael Dupree, Otto de Voogd and many others. Therefore I would like to donate 1 bitcoin to Risto Pietilä.

I have received 1 bitcoin, 1'000 mBTC.

Dear Risto Pietilä

Thank you for your generous gift.

I am not currently in a situation where I need donations so I would like to pass my donation on. But I need a day or two to think about whom to donate to. I have one or two names in mind but I would like to make sure that I donate to the right people.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I need advice on Bitcoin command line client on: July 17, 2014, 02:06:22 PM
I have been playing around with bitcoind and it seems fairly straight forward but it lacks a functionality that I would like to have.

I would like to have the functionality of managing cold wallets through a command line interface which I could control via an API. So basically, what I am looking for is an overview of the different command line implementations for running a full bitcoin node. Preferably one that can handle cold wallets. I am interested in integrating this with PHP scripts, Python scripts, and perhaps also C++.

You own no property whatsoever, than? Perhaps you didn't get the memo, but property is theft!

Welcome to reality. Enjoy your stay.

Ok. Please post your private keys then.
After you. I must warn you though, I am a thief and very dishonest when it comes to matters of money. Society has trained me to be this way for survival, you see?
Nonsense. I was not the one who said that property is theft.

If you believe property is theft you should post your private keys on this forum. And you cannot make demands before you do it since you are not in a position to make demands on the bitcoins that you happen to have access to. Remember: property is theft.
You are missing the point. It doesn't matter who said it, what matters is that it is the truth. Property IS theft, it is a theft of the birthright of all human beings, and indeed all living creatures. I speak of our mother Earth, which has been stolen by violent means and then claimed piecemeal and defended by further violence.

If you believe property is theft you should post your private keys on this forum.
I already told you, like you I am a thief. Capitalism has made me this way - taught me violence and greed, tools I am very adept at using today. Why would a thief give anything away? What don't you understand about this simple concept?

I see you link to a video with a speech by Stephan Molyneux so I am assuming that the non-sense you are writing is your attempt of trolling. I hope so for the sake of humanity. /EOD
