Pournelle was an intellectual protégé of Russell Kirk and Stefan T. Possony. Pournelle wrote numerous publications with Possony, including The Strategy of Technology (1970). While there, he worked on Project Thor, conceiving of "hypervelocity rod bundles", also known as "rods from God". He edited Project 75, a 1964 study of 1975 defense requirements. He worked in operations research at The Aerospace Corporation, and North American Rockwell Space Division, and was founding President of the Pepperdine Research Institute.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 06, 2017, 08:24:48 PM
Banks interest and big corporations saw at blockchain the possibility to save milions with the normal transactions they do make all days, soo they can save a huge ammount and raise their profit, thats their interest. Banks does provide a strong service and they risk their clients money with lending, but they do minimize the risks doing such lendings, something that for bitcoin gets similiar service would need a trusted escrow and would have to expose all credentials, something i doubt any bitcoiner wanna to be reall exposed.

Maybe can happen in future when people understand concept bitcoin, then they do not need third party to deal with each other.
Even in the future, can not be such. Banks is a confidence in the power of the people under their control. A bitcoin this will prevent.

I love Moscow mules! I even make my own ginger syrup so just to have delicious delicious Moscow mules!
I have not tried it and can not even understand what it is for a drink. Perhaps a cocktail or may be an example of whiskey, moonshine production personnel.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 31, 2016, 03:42:54 PM
The entire banking system is carefully targeted to earning money on the people. So there is nothing good to wait on them. In certain cases, customers benefit, but basically give the bank all their money.
46  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: December 31, 2016, 03:36:19 PM
I do not think I would.
Who really knows if it will be there tomorrow. Sad
I also think that bitcoin is a means to earn money as well as I did not see.

48  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pokemon go on: December 27, 2016, 10:59:19 PM
I find it weird how people say that Pokemon GO is a dead game.
It is has been much hype, so Pokemon Go very much was popular, already passes on the decline of enthusiasm in people. So even the streets have become a little calmer, and can not see the stupid pokemon seekers.
Developers have already earned so much money that even has nothing to worry about what people are no longer interested in playing Pokemon.
They do. As long as people downloaded it, it is enough for them to get paid. Besides, Pokemon Go isn't a dead game. Just like other trends, its popularity goes down as time goes by.
I agree with the fact that Pokemon Go not yet tired, and everything possible will still download the game and try to pass to look for animals. But this is not long.

bitcoin
Paypal and bitcoin, they are two different concepts and not only. So that it is inappropriate to oppose them.

2016, 2017, 2018 and so on .......
I think Bitcoin is very popular in the next few years. And next year will be a lot of events that will strengthen Bitcoin and make it more expensive
To bitcoin became popular in the coming years, it is necessary then to do it. By itself, it does not become so. It seems to me that it is bitcoin users have become more active and start offering cryptocurrency and disseminate information about it everywhere.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: December 24, 2016, 09:07:02 PM
Guys, let's use bitcoin earn and do not need to promise mountains of gold or even complete collapse of bitcoin. It seems hto some do not know or do not understand the situation, and the other reason is wishful thinking.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: December 24, 2016, 08:57:18 PM
big/small drug lords are under surveilance. Some of them were already caught or dead. Like a mayor and his convoy were transporting high amounts of drugs fought back in a police road block.
1 drug lord was arrested in Abu Dhabi with the help of INTERPOL

The most powerful and influential drug lords will never be caught. They will escape to the neighboring nations such as Thailand and Vietnam, and stay hidden there with the help of local politicians. Once Duterte is removed, they will return to Philippines and resume their business.
Do you recall how famous people from musicians to professrs inventors have consumed the drug. Even Leonardo da Vinci dabbled kakainom to his imagination was wild.
55  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: December 24, 2016, 08:50:30 PM
Come show me at least one person who is not interested in the price of bitcoin? I am personally interested in the growth of not only the number of bitcoin in my purse, but also the growth of the prices on my currency.
Grin
Grin
57  Local / Разное / Re: Обед за $1 доллар! on: December 10, 2016, 07:19:25 PM

How do I tell your Girlfriends mother about Bitcoin?
Probably over a nice bottle of wine...
Women are very good at spending money, so they do not need to know where they come from. The main thing is their presence. I do not think my girlfriend would want to engage in mining.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: December 05, 2016, 09:58:28 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
difficult for teenager ? i think no , because my self teenager and i am fast understand about bitcoin .. but for children maybe difficult because i think chilrend still playing happiness
Children need to learn in school and learning to give to the Institute, and sweaty just help or suggest what and how to make money. From us only need help for the children.
Explains very difficult for the children of bitcoin. Most likely it needs time to grow up and become adults, and even then explains.
