82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 25, 2020, 01:08:08 PM
This is new year and i expect newbies to get smarter, be careful of new projects that are nothing but pyramid schemes, Multilevel marketing schemes or pyramid schemes may likewise be utilized to swindle crypto investors. Such new companies guarantee enormous degrees of profitability inside a brief period, and regularly convey different individuals to rope in new members. When the part list gets generous and the fraudsters get a sizeable store, they evaporate, leaving all investors seething. The most ideal approach to distinguish such schemes is to take a gander at the project's experience. Such projects will in general evade any perceived organizations or bureaus and have next to no undeniable foundation data, be very careful and limit your losses this new year, all the best.
It is sad that many newbie still get scammed by Crypto Pyramid Schemes. They often offer high revenue by investing and referring friends so people who lack of knowledge can be scammed easily.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven for Your Money? on: January 24, 2020, 04:18:31 AM
In my point of view, Bitcoin is not a safe haven for my money because buying Bitcoin is like making an investment. You might lose money if the price drops or lost everything if your wallet is hacked.

85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 12:08:49 PM
I had a discussion with my parents earlier, saying that they want to start operating our milk tea food cart. We had the cart ready, materials for making the milk tea and so on. Instead of waiting for June or July until the new school building opens, we decided to put our business in a mall rather than the school sooner than later.

My dad was a traditional business style guy. He kept failing because of not being creative and innovative, and sometimes ignoring my suggestions and advice. However, this time, since I am into crypto and blockchain industry, he was thinking about displaying a Bitcoin QR code.

In the city that I lived, there were no businesses yet who accept Bitcoin payments. They do have QR codes, but mostly from a centralized provider and not crypto-related.

I already have my mom's Bitcoin wallet verified, and may need to upgrade it to a Business account as it needs business permit and other requirements necessary. It'll be used for the business anyways.

I think this is going to be a worthwhile experiment, and a great way to start letting people aware about Bitcoin. Maybe I should put some creative promos for those who will buy milk tea using Bitcoin. What do you guys think?
If your target customer is student then Bitcoin is not suitable because Bitcoin is not popular for student. Moreover transaction fee per a milk tea cup is pretty high.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gonna sell my stock assets and invest in these top currencies. Suggestions? on: January 23, 2020, 07:11:24 AM
Hello all,

I am new to crypto currency market as I was before in shares and stock market. I have basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies like how supply, demand and history of famous coins. I am looking to invest in 2-3 cryptocurrencies. My investment: $200-$500. I would like to invest little amount in starting, afterwards I will increase my investments.

Well, I select the following coins:

Bitcoin : because it is no.1
Ethereum: this crypto is down these days, but I have got a news that ethereum 2.0 will roll out this year. So, I hope that this crypto currency price will go up.
Binance: because of stability

And eos if possible

I would like to know your suggestions before taking the steps.

Thanks
These 3 coins listed in your thread same to mine. Binance Coin seems to be very potential and i have invested most of my money into it.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 05:29:35 PM

Is Bitcoin really a such innovative thing that can change people's lives significantly in the future?

I think we still live fine without having Bitcoin being actively used in our real lives.

Oh well... In terms of transparency, i can take on Bitcoin's technology.

But which one is it that raised its value so much though?

Technology or People's attention?
Bitcoin value started with its technology because Blockchain is something new and potential, then it grown by people's attention after the pump in 2017.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some exchanges charges are too high on: January 22, 2020, 04:35:37 PM
How many exchanges you know of that have too high withdrawal fee? I was shocked that Dcoin exchange wants 0.001 for any bitcoin withdrawal you want to make while other exchanges charges only 5000 Satoshi for bitcoin withdrawal, I was forces to exchange my bitcoin for litecoin before getting my coins out
0.001 BTC is a pretty high for Bitcoin withdrawal, but how about the transaction speed? I think 0.00005 BTC is too low so the transaction will be confirmed very slow, 0.0002-0.0005 BTC is reasonable.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Away of this scam Coin on: January 22, 2020, 11:54:08 AM
As you can see this coin has risen 600%, the coin is only listed in Crex24 which is another home of scam coin. Don't invest your money on this sick scam coin. Check the image from Crex24 too. All the order is very small which are created only to pushing the price by DEV team or a group of people. Most coin listed in Crex24 are scam mostly. Stay away. Happy trading  Wink

By the way, this is a great signal of altcoin season. This is not a piece of financial advice.

I have never heard about CryptoVerificationCoin, however we cannot say it is a scam because of the pump and the exchange it is listed. Just be careful and find more information.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating shit TOKEN make good profit ? on: January 22, 2020, 07:51:11 AM
Hi guys
do u think if i created a shit token (with no project) and add it to shit exchange can i get profit ?  Grin
i mean im preparing to create a token and add it to new exchanges with law fees
and i promote investors for ex to give them 50 per cent of any ammount they bought
from the token for ex if you bought 10000 coins i will give u 5000 coins for free
do u think this idea can make investors buy it ?
It is easy to create a token but how do you make investors buy yours while it is "shit" and sounds like scam. Nowaday investors are smart because there are already many shit projects.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have anyone come across this? Whether it is a true currency or fake one....? on: January 22, 2020, 06:19:34 AM
There are many "0" on it but i think its value compare to BTC is very low. The most valuable fiat now is not more than x3 usd value.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 21, 2020, 11:28:18 AM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.
Bitcoin is my favourite coin to invest in long term. I have invested and hold it for more than 3 years and i am very happy with it.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of a bounty manager. on: January 21, 2020, 09:26:07 AM
Yes we are talking about the hassle which the bounty manager goes through and bounties of good projects which fails and the development team ends up with huge loss, as a result, they could not focus on further developments and just don't bother to distribute the bounty tokens to the bounty hunters until the investors trade the tokens or else just shuts down the project.

Management's fault:
They tend to be greedy at one point of time and starts thinking that if they distribute the bounty to the hunters they will dump it anyway nad the value of token will crash down and they dealy the distribution meanwhile the bounty hunters start writing bad about the project and there were instances that the genuine bounty projects were termed as scam for this issue.

Bounty hunter's fault:
Bounty hunter just join any random campaign without investigating and then they are the greediest bunch(not everyone) I have seen while managing the campaigns as one user registers with hundreds of fake accounts and that too their account has followers who have nothing to do with crpto as most of them as desperate who just follows the twitter account by looking at fake DP of some hot girls which are often used by the hunters to gain more followers, moreover, the bounty users enter their ETH address on some other person's profile as well and if the bounty manager does not check that then the cheater will get paid twice and the person who works hard will not be paid, submitting false report is one of the main concern wherein the bounty manager has to check thousands of report and some of them just copy-paste old reports to get reward without working.

Then comes those users who keeps spamming the telegram group by sharing some scam projects and irrelevant stuff from numerous fake profiles.

I think the whole bounty process has become a shithole and the worst part is that the signature campaigns are not entertained by bounties as they want to reach wider audience without knowing that most of the social media campaigns do not reach any real audience as it reaches some fake profiles who follow the bounty hunters just by looking at their picture.

Regardless of the issue, the bounty managers are cursed as if they are paying out of their pocket. Users needs to understand that even bounty managers are paid for their job just like bounty hunters and most of the time even they are not paid for their hardwork. Even a slightest negligence from bounty hunters gets them a negative trust thanks to those merit thirsty users who tries to blame it all on bounty hunters to get a merit.

this is just a brief of not even 5% of pain which bounty managers go through.
It is sad that many bounty hunters using fake social accounts with fake friends, followers, likes and shares. However they alway complain about their reward when the project failed.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I still claim my Bitcoin SV if I never claimed my Bitcoin Cash? on: January 21, 2020, 05:42:13 AM
Hello,

I had 5 BTC in my Electrum wallet at the time of the hard fork which created Bitcoin Cash in August 2017, meaning I can still claim my 5 Bitcoin Cash if I'm correct.
But can I also claim my 5 Bitcoin SV right after this? Or do I not get those 5 Bitcoin SV since I had no Bitcoin Cash at the moment of the fork in November 2018?

Anyone?
This thread remind me about the BCH in my wallet that i forgot. I found this tutorial from exodus, you can get your BCH and BSV in your old wallet with exodus: https://support.exodus.io/article/1025-how-do-i-split-bch-bsv-held-on-another-wallet
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 21, 2020, 04:10:03 AM
Hi I'm not a technical guy and I really want to invest in altcoins. Fo you guys which do you guys prefer in this time when buying your altcoins?
Do you still like to buy those under rank cryptos that low price or you preferred to buy those on the top? Or do you prefer projects which have constant project development and updates that still build even though they fell from the bottom? Or you skip those low satoshi altcoins even though they still have great developments?

And if you can give me some idea too to where I can research project development statistics and quality of altcoins. Sorry for my English?
Of course i will choose a quality coin because i am investing for the future. Coins that have great development teams is potential and its price might increase in the future.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: January 20, 2020, 03:38:43 PM
Some traders and investors think that when trading with crypto currency, one must be bold and confident and make quick decisions. Is excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading better than doubt and fear, or is it a big drawback?
Doubt and fear help us being more careful before making an investment. We will think about potential dangerous when choosing altcoin, time to invest, ...
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: To be a successful trader need help of a successful trader! on: January 19, 2020, 04:00:41 PM
Some people ask me how to become a professional trader, I think there is no specific rules on a professional trader, there is nothing called 100% zero, but it can be well-mastered, in order to read some good books, read the blog and another Good quality trader has to follow. And also the most important thing is to practice which can maketh anyone perfect.

Some months ago when I started trading or started learning, I did not understand anything, later I collected a lot of books and started reading them, but I did not get any good results, later I got a new trader and he helped me And I follow the instructions given by him, I think that to be a professional trader, there is a good quality trader.

Some of my own ideas and some of the help of some people, I did some trades and were very successful and were successful, they were done through our complete personal analysis.

Some sample of my successful trade:  https://prnt.sc/m9kbu5

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 19, 2020, 03:21:37 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart
Never keep your eggs in one basket is a good idea to reduce risk. Many project start by promising that their coin will be listed somewhere with a high price then collapse.

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: This is why you shouldn't trust a Centralized Exchange! on: January 19, 2020, 08:10:03 AM
Ever since cryptopia has been hacked i stop storing cryptocurrency on any exchange.

I only use exchange website to Buy or Sell cryptocurrency then withdraw the coins to my own wallet. In this way i can minimize myself from getting trap when a centralized exchange is hack/close again.

Same to me, cryptopia hacked was shock to me because i often use it to exchange my altcoins. I have switched to a new wallet right after that.
