61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates Says Crypto Has Caused Deaths In A Fairly Direct Way on: April 14, 2018, 06:18:05 PM
FIAT has killed millions, but Mr. Gates still likes it.  Roll Eyes
That is the exact phrase that is fitting here, i do not know whether he is aware of the working of bitcoin, if so he would not say that bitcoin transaction is anonymous and with the recent wake of the situation every exchanges comply with KYC and it is not possible to deal things anonymous if we are giving away our identity.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self-Acclaimed Bitcoin Creator Craig Wright Accused of Plagiarism on: April 14, 2018, 02:48:11 PM
Satoshi did not want to reveal itself since he also does not wanted to be chased by the government unlike Craig Wright. If Nakamoto wants to show himself he will use his old and original account on this forum whose username is Satoshi.
Having a hold of this forum account does not mean anything, i am sure the admin has frozen his account after the hack and the only thing to determine who the developer behind bitcoin is to sign a verification from the genesis block or the first address, it is a simple process for the original developer if he wants to come forward now. I am not sure why Craig Wright is getting the center of attention when he has not proved anything rather than just claiming.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Scammers Are Making Fortunes By Ripping Off 'Greedy' Investors on: April 13, 2018, 10:55:50 PM
The market is not regulated and so expect more con artist to come over and take advantage of the situation, it is not a big secret to identify legitimate project from a scam one, the only thing you need to do before investment is to learn about the project and how competent the team is and are they transparent and clarify your doubts, if so you could avoid them.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 13, 2018, 10:13:12 PM
I think  GPU mining will not die this year and in the next too. There will always be coins that can be mined. The question is to preserve and increase profitability. As for ASICs, after Monero and other alts have switched to other encryption algorithms, I think that ASICs producers will no longer be able to manufacture this equipment.
The main thing you forget is that, the commercial plans have being trashed, but what if they start making new machines and starting mining for them and monopolize the market with their power ASIC, it is really possible in the future too, they might not reveal that out in the public but they will mine privately. We might see new GPU produced for mining from major companies this year.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the bitcoin be outdated by another currency? on: April 07, 2018, 10:10:11 PM
No. Bitcoin is the first coins that started cryptocurrency. All the ideas of other coins in cryptocurrency is based on Bitcoin. Base on my observation if Bitcoins goes down in the market, other cryptocurrency coins also go  down. I think Bitcoin will not be outdated.
It is true that the entire market is possible because of bitcoin and not every coin at this stage is based on bitcoin protocol, things have changed a lot from the begging and there are promising coins that focuses more on privacy and with increased scrutiny by the governments i think privacy coins will be used more frequently in the future but bitcoin will be global currency.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: April 07, 2018, 09:48:10 PM
Because no one ever knows where the highest price will be and where the lowest price will be. Your purchases and sales are random points on the chart.
It can be random, but you determine when to sell and at what price, when ever there is a rally, we expect a price to be the break out point where the correction starts and it is not always easy to determine that resistance level, but one think i do not do is to buy at a high price and let go at a lower valuation, just be careful while you invest and that is the only sensible thing you can do.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Is The War Against ASICs Worth Fighting? on: April 07, 2018, 08:20:19 PM
If I am not wrong Application Specific Integrated Circuit can be built for any algorithm, it's possible, depends on a coin's market cap, mining revenue/profitability, and cost of manufacturing ASICs. So basically ASIC development is inevitable, and crypto communities looking to maintain ASIC resistance have to do periodical hard forks, but is this strategy sustainable for long-term? Obviously, the long-term solution is ASIC commoditization.
It is possible to built the circuit for any algorithm but it is not that easy also, now can we take a closer look at this situation, the world knew about this new ASIC when bitmain revealed it to the world, i am sure they have made use of it and would have done private mining and made a substantial profit before releasing it to the public and i do not think these forking strategy wont sustain for a longer period.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: Good news or bad news... on: April 07, 2018, 03:27:19 PM
Definitely a good news, it shows japan's government really supported and adapted bitcoin into their economy. It's good to put strict law to prevent money laundering that benefits their people and their economy.
I am not sure about the term money laundering being used when it comes to this market, the people dealing with illegal funds will always find a new way to do those activities and i hope it wont affect the free nature of the market, having restrictions on the movement of funds will cause disruption, i am waiting to see how the major economies are taking a stand on this market.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 07, 2018, 02:50:15 PM
Is this the right time to buy Monero ? I am new to crypto and doing some good research on crypto.

I know hard fork is splitting block chain to two networks. Can any one please guide me what is exact impact of hardfork on price? is it good or bad?
I do not think that there will be no impact in the price now as the fork is already being applied to counter ASIC mining, i do not think this is the right time to get the coins as there will be multiple blockchains and really do not know the security feature of the other, so always be careful while move the coins in the initial stages.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: why the price of the bit coin is going down? on: April 07, 2018, 02:03:16 PM
any one know why the price of bitcoin coin is going down day by day,, and when i purchased bitcoin last time the price was Rs 7,00,000 NRI and right now the price is Rs 3,55,000 what can i do ?
Looks like you are trading in Indian exchanges and the main reason for the price slide is because of the RBI notification that says that banks will no longer accept business from crypto currency and they have given a time line for the exchanges and that created a panic from the users and so is the reason the price is going down, there is nothing to worry, just hold on to your coins, there are other ways to trade bitcoin.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with India and countries that ban Crypto currencies on: April 07, 2018, 12:30:03 PM
The governments that ban Bitcoin, should not receive the benefits of this technology. Make sure your bitcoins goes towards the Bitcoin friendly countries that deserve your support. Let them miss out on the taxes and the new job opportunities and the tourism income.
They are not in favor of technology and they are trying to silence the users who are making use of it, big companies can move to other countries, but what about the normal users, they cannot just hop into an aeroplane and just relocate to a new place, since India is a corrupted country and they are not capable of providing new jobs, yet they are planning to shut down innovation too, what a wonderful governance.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India closes doors for Crypto Currency on: April 07, 2018, 12:02:47 PM
That is extremely sad.Knowing that bitcoins is the only way Indian Government can't track the tax savers, they had to come up with something like that. They can stop exchanges but not peer-to-peer market places. What more you'd expect from a country which is submerged in corruption ?

It is a really tough situation because they have no idea what they are talking about but what are the options if the banking sector is against the virtual world, what are the other options to deal with it, any international market that deal with fiat currency for depositing and withdrawal other than localbitcoin, i would like to know because there is always an alternative way for people to deal in countries like this.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe BTC is going to trend down to $5,000 whats your thoughts on: April 05, 2018, 10:44:18 PM
IMO BTC is going to continue to trend down and settle around a range of $4,500 to $5,500 at a new psych level. Reasons are slow adoption world wide from other countries than Japan and growing competition from alts.
I do not see any altcoin that has the potential to challenge bitcoin in any way and i could not see any alt coin making a huge rally when this market is down , the main reason for the stagnant market is because of the regulation talks being going on for a while and unless we have a clear picture people will have two thoughts before investing their money into this market.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 31, 2018, 11:52:41 PM
It had to happen. Australian team is still in shatters. All of their consistency vanished in a few days just because of two players. I still think their board shouldn't have gone this strict on them, it was after all just the tempering and not the fixing or something that's considered real bad.
This is exactly my opinion too in this regard, after all it is just a game of cricket and they have taken this as a grave offense like drug scandal or match fixing , i have read an article recently about comparing Warner to Kevin Peterson about how he was dropped from the team because of his bad influence and that might happen to Warner too, what ever it is Australia is losing two best players that could have a match on their own.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive News about Bitcoin on: March 31, 2018, 11:22:57 PM
This information is very useful for people who want to shop for electronic goods using a bitcoin payment system. Hopefully more and more online stores that accept payments using bitcoin either directly or through third parties like BitPay especially I look forward to Amazon to be able to follow Newegg in receiving payments using bitcoin because it will also make a drastic increase of the current bitcoin price movement decreased which is very boring.
Amazon is one company that eludes bitcoin, if they start accepting bitcoin and with the range of market they has, i am sure it will be a great thing for the users, but i do not see them accepting anytime soon, i do expect major companies accepting bitcoin in due time and ten years from now we might see an entirely different market altogether where every company accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment . Wink
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Convince me to buy BTC and not ETH. on: March 31, 2018, 10:53:07 PM
I'm pretty new to this, and after researching a bit, I feel like ETH is going places and has far fewer barriers to expansion that BTC. I want to buy and hold some coins, and as of now i'm leaning towards ETH. but I can't ignore the fact that bitcoin seems like top dog still... so convince me to buy BTC instead of eth. Give a reason besides "first movers advantage"
If you believe that any other coin other than bitcoin has a much greater potential, then no one can convince you to do anything, bitcoin does have the greatest potential in the long term and i do not see any coin matching it, but you need to invest a lot to get a coin, if i am looking to make a huge profit with a limited budget i will go for the low valuation coin.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: March 31, 2018, 09:34:43 PM
I am voting for bounty  because it is more reasonable -  you spend your time and efforts and as a result you receive rewards. Airdrops is a free cheese in the mousehack
I never expected these bounties to be this attractive , i have participated in the past and you cannot actually make that much but then again if you keep on joining everything possible and wait for the long run, then it might give you huge profits, earlier we used to have good airdrops but now a days i do not see that much profit in it too as there are too many users to claim these drops. Grin
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Crypto end? on: March 31, 2018, 08:31:40 PM
I think crypto is here to stay. We will see it getting better and better features by the years and might even be a replacement to money in the future if it goes mainstream
Never expect this thing to overcome the currency produced by governments around the world, but bitcoin will be one of the major currency used in the world in ten years time and some of the experts have predicted about it, some countries might come up with strict regulations but it is interesting to know what the European Union and US as well as major Asian countries decide the fate of it.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to sell all my btc as its too low now :( on: March 29, 2018, 02:41:30 PM
You said you are holding bitcoin and you wanted to sell that and purchase ETH because both the coins are going down, what kind blunder are you talking about, bitcoin is the only coin that has the potential to multiply many folds from this situation and that cannot be said about any other coin and you wanted to purchase ETH is a joke, after all it is your choice and let me see you as another case study.  Tongue
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 05, 2017, 03:08:48 PM
Great chance for England to win the match, Joe Root is the key player in the chase. For Australia to win the match only one way by picking up the wickets of Root, Ali and Bairstow if they could able to pick up the early wickets in the 1st session then they have tender chance of winning the match, but the advantage with England now.
It is a sudden turn of events as i never expected England to fold the Australians in the second innings just like that and i wanted this to be a draw but it looks like England is on route to win this match,in another match India is on route to another complete dominating win against Sri Lanka, the match is really boring to watch.
