Yes they are switched mode PSU they work from about 95-350V, they really do not care if they have been on 110 before.
Only point is to make sure there are no dust bunnies and they have GOOD ventilation round the components because at 240 the break-over distances will be reduced if it is damp.

Australia has good incentives on solar power. The government pays you to feed surplus power into the grid and you get sponsorship to install solar.
go do it, then use it to support your mining. I have a couple of rigs I sent to my parents in Australia and they run them off the solar.

I think you need to do WAY more research... at >2GH/s pay back is currently $10USD a day putting even the cheapest FPGA at several hundred days for ROI. The issue is NOT VHDL or 'engineering' but rather the base cost Vrs return on the FPGA. Absolutely the CHEAPEST way to do FPGA mining is by buying EBAY scrap, but even that is a declining 30days ROI. Putting me safely in the goldilox zone of 100 days. Even your own Lancelot >4 months before ROI, plus you are talking a DELAY of 2 MONTHS before you can deliver this.... Which makes your ROI 6 months.......

Don't buy these cheap 10-12 way hubs, they are Cu**t designs
open one up and take a look The PCB layout is along the lines of :
CHIP: con:con:con:con :CHIP:con:con:con
Rather than con:con:CHIP:con:con: con:con:CHIP:con:con
So the USB lines are twice as long as they need to be, and they run 4*USB signals in parallel tracks side by side with no Guard bands
Then the PSU is just plugs STRAIGHT into the powerfeed for the chips... and back into the computer no VARs no blocking diodes.....
To safely power down your driving CPU you have to UNPLUG the USB cable first...........
The whole design has been thrown together by some cock sucker in a rice field.

I noticed the other day a fan going very slowly and vibrating, bearings had gone and the hub motor smelled of badly burnt plastic. Careful guys!
The issue is getting hold of DECENT fans... not the cheap shite made in a rice field in China Many of these "fans" are made on cheap molding equipment with shitty tools and low pressure or poor pressure control, this results in the moulded fine parts being like sand paper , generally they do not last long. Sunon do a "mag lev" series, none of those shitty leaky bearings or stupid plastic split rings to keep the fan blades in position. They cut the air at 7500 RPM and since the blades have a decent edge, there is very little noise.

So I see that BFL has started shipping their 5.0Gh machines. Anyone know how many have been shipped and what the potential wait time on one would be if I ordered today?
It is based on the current 'difficulty' . I.E To get the PSU sorted out so that the boards last long enough to get out of the guarantee period before being returned. As they ramp up production, they will find that significantly more of the product fail to meet expectations or the 'spec' that has been sold to customers (hence the 'dropping' of the hash rate but doubling of the price per unit) It is the same with any manufacturing operating, however BFL's previous experience counts for FA because they were working with already developed product (FPGA), manufactured to military specification (xilinx biggest customer is the military, anything that does not meet the standard is sold 'down' the supply chain), what this means is the product is F***ing reliable in all but the most abysmally designed products,You can even stick their products upside down and 'dead bug' them with a shitty PSU and they still work..... as a result a manufacturer does not get any 'real world' experience in REAL hardcore manufacturing and fault finding.(sticking a public domain design based on military spec parts in a flashy case does not make you a design expert or 'crypto specialist') This is relevant because the BFL ASIC is not in this class of design or specification, so it is going to be a complete bitch to rein in... What does this have to do with your question..... Well if you are near the front of the list... then you get a unit and you can mine until the fucker breaks down.. send it back and get a 'new one'.. if you are later into the list... good luck on getting a unit. However if they can crack the current issues they are having.. then all will be well in happy land.

Buy a cheap fire sensor, link the output thru a relay to something that just connects live to earth Via a resistor to trigger the ECB on your equipment.

You will see that this answer was related to a question where the poster was under the assumption that clock frequency was the sole indicator of the time it takes an algorithm to run.
I merely pointed out that there are times when this does not apply, SPECIFICALLY as an example I highlighted the SCRYPT algorithm that is SPECIFICALLY designed to try and make any attempt to parallel its calculation. go outside the main silicon infrastructure for resources.
and it is THAT infrastructure that sets the overall speed.
I.E you may have a porsche that does 250Mph, but if the roads in Liverpool only allow you to travel at 30 Mph, then it is irrelevant how fast your porsche can go, and the porsche does not set the journey time... the roads do.
To answer your question, If you have to travel about in Liverpool, then you have to get out of your driveway.........

Ok, thanks. I'm going to take stratum2/dgm2 out of rotation and see if I can find out what's going wrong with those servers. It sounds like 'mmpool.bitparking.com:3333' and 'mmpool.bitparking.com:4333' are fine? You mention '15098' but that's the getwork server. Edit: What miner are you using? That is what I am saying the results are not consistent, the 'get work server' should be 'worse', but it seems it is the most stable. mmpool.bitparking.com:3333 .. seems to be ok The miner software is: https://github.com/TheSeven/Modular-Python-Bitcoin-MinerYep I know it is Gash and it is python... but none of the other mining software give me the 'simplers232' RS232 interface which I use because it is easy to implement in the FPGA's (i know it works, so it is one less thing to check) I've not found anyone who will write me some C++ code for a plugin so i can use another miner
