161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Litecoin Based Currency With a More Favorable Block Reward on: May 15, 2013, 06:15:56 PM
You have more than 145000 coins on the bounty? How much did you premine?
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions on: May 15, 2013, 07:14:34 AM
WordPress is definitely not "used on almost all websites". eBay and CNN use it for their blogs, which WP is suited for.

The technical ability required to put up a static site with an unmodified theme on WP is about the same as that required to fork, find-replace text, and recompile. Namely, very little. This same person could literally release a "new" coin, fully branded with a "professional" site, every single day. The hardest part would be picking new coin and domain names.

This combines to give 0 credibility to this and similar bandwagon-alt-coins.

Yeah, and maybe you are right.
But to be honest, I prefer to have "some guy" or "some little team" making coins than bringing a big company like G00gle to create a coin, with super expensive website, super trained programmers, and hundred of millions of dollars on propaganda to make us get their products. All brains washed...

I'm following 0pticoin too, I like it, but there is a lot of people complaining for everything, the name, the delay, etc..
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] 0pticoin (0TC) - Release Date: May 15, 2013 @ 6pm GMT [ANN] on: May 15, 2013, 06:20:46 AM
Lol, trolls are everywhere; and they are the first to download and start mining.

I think the value is given by people trusting on coins, so, if you don't like it, do not download it.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions on: May 15, 2013, 05:54:44 AM
That is NOT a professional web site. It's WordPress crap.

This is the theme: http://www.themehorse.com/themes/attitude/

It's free.

It would take more time to write the copy and take screenshots than get the site up from scratch. It also probably took more time to make the globe/coin image and logo than to fork + find-replace Litecoin (or whichever).

Good Point because using a free theme and setting up a webpage that's better than bitcoin, litecoin, and every other crap coin, is well as you put it "Wordpress Crap". I'm going to leave and wait for this to launch and not read the absurd non sense, before i blow my brains out.

Lol, you can't take serious a guy who says wordpress is crap. Wordpress is used on almost all websites: eBay, CNN, Techcrunch... Litecoin is using wordpress too.

lol be quiet man you sound ridiculous. Just copy and paste your pm into an email and stop being a drama queen

If after having a problem with the website you were ignored, you would be angry too.

He already knows the problem, so I'm waiting for an answer.

About the "support email" I sent you a personal message on: May 12, 2013, 03:08:58 PM.

We do not check private messages on the forum, please send an email to our support account, it can be found at the bottom of the FAQ on our website.

No, this time YOU are going to check your PM, and see what I wrote you. If you are part of BitPotato, you can foward it to the support team, if you have one.
And you should answer me here, in public.

Like I said, I don't care about the --"lost coins"-- but seems to be you care a lot about your reputation.
This thread is full of people with less than 10 posts ""praising"" the website.
168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit Potato - Hottest bits since the potato!! on: May 14, 2013, 06:45:30 AM
I've just PM'd a forum moderator and asked them to confirm for you that they both have unique IP addresses.

Perfect, if you are saying the truth then I'll owe you an apology.
About the "support email" I sent you a personal message on: May 12, 2013, 03:08:58 PM.

For everything I said, I strongly recommend not to use the site "bitpotato".

I don't think so. Coincidentally, I was the one who was holding the spud that you circled in your screenshot. Bitpotato refunded me completely, and while they may be having some issues regarding security I think they're a legitimate company.

That's awesome to hear; I had one of the other seven potatoes and didn't received a thing. Not even an answer to a PM.
169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit Potato - Hottest bits since the potato!! on: May 14, 2013, 03:13:56 AM
Faaz and matreciman, both guys with less than 6 posts. One of them with 1 post; saying "they refund me".

Come on bitpotato, you scammed people with the price change and now I think you are making fake accounts to clean your bad reputation.
Hope an admin check the IPs from where those "users" wrote; i bet it's the same as you.
170  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: ¿Por que Bitbar está teniendo tanta acogida? on: May 13, 2013, 01:13:25 AM
Simplemente es más dificil de minar que BitCoin, por eso es cara. Pero nada más.
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit Potato - Hottest bits since the potato!! on: May 12, 2013, 10:24:43 PM
3 issues so far:

1) You changed the price of the potatoes to 2LTC when the rest were still over 30 or 50:

2) Site was offline for almost 2 hours.
3) The consolation for the Silver portato is 15%, I paid 21.53, but received as consolation only 1.05LTC. I think you messed up the site a lot.

Keep the coins, I don't care.
I simply not playing here anymore.
172  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit Potato - Hottest bits since the potato!! on: May 12, 2013, 08:16:54 PM
There is another problem here.

"We are pleased to announce that all Potatoes now have a starting price of less than 2 LTC!"

He changed it without any announcement. So If you had a 97 LTC god potato, or a 59 Rad potato, resetting the fresh potatoes to 2LTC makes the expensive ones impossible to sell.

Whoever who bought the SPUD was before the price drop. But after the price reset all others potatoes has more profit, for less price.
All who had a potato before the reset, lost his coins.

Almost 2 hours of downtime made it worst.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP MAKING ALT COINS!!! diluting value..... on: May 12, 2013, 06:13:26 PM
People gives value to things, even money. So, more coins does not hurt. IF coins like YAC worth almost nothing is becaus epeople do not trust on them, but people trust on bitcoin and litecoin and their value keep constant/growing up.

In my oppinion, more coins does not affects other stablished coins.

Good news, now we want to see it on BTC-e!
176  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitBox New Bitcoin Exchange on: May 11, 2013, 04:16:58 AM
0.75% taker fee for order quantities that are executed immediately
0.60% provider fee for order quantities that are queued and later executed

Gox has 0.6%, BTCe has 0.2% and Bter is free for some coins.
Maybe you should think on make it cheaper to get customers.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vircurex hacked! on: May 10, 2013, 11:49:16 PM
Am I the only one who think that it could be a scam?
Everything related to bitcoin get """hacked""", how do we know it is true or the admin wants to keep all the coins?

I'm not saying Vircurex is a scam, but easily anybody come here with a new service (call it exchange, potato, gambling site, etc) and say "I was hacked, I lost all coins, sorry and good bye".

Trust no one.
