has the difficulty gone up? I seem to have mined about 20ish% less WDC today than yesterday. I know this could be accounted for from pools going down then coming back up whilst asleep but just wanted to check.

We should make a "XXC Network hashrate at XX.XX G/s now!" thread for every coin
every 30 minutes now. I think that would help keeping the Alt. forum enjoyable.
Even less spammy then it is now.

Would be great to have a live indicator. I think people who is buying WDC is checking obsesively the hashrate. And the rest of coins seems to be dead, FTC does not even send payments any more (24hs to send 10 FTC!) |

Self moderated post can delete even messages warning about a trojan on the client. If I see a coin launches as "self moderate" I don't trust it. |

I downloaded the client again from the official website and installed it on a second computer and it syncs without any problem.
Maybe some country is blocking IP's and that is why some people can't connect.

I'm having the same discussion with people on other forum. They think that Litecoin is insecure because it's faster.
Man, you can drive your car at 10Km/h if you want, and I'm sure you are not going to crash. I prefer to go faster.
Is in each person to decide how much confirmation they need, it's like if somebody gives you a 100 dollars bill, you check to know if it's fake or real; some insecure people may call a bill expert to check for it, some people trust on the other person and take it without even looking at it. Security is in the individual.

The developers of this wallet did not "hardcode" the IP address nodes, (the other wallet computers running, your peers) ... into the wallet, IMHO, so that the cry of "pre-mining" by a reserved group of people with special knowledge and special access to the development of the coin could be avoided. In other words, the genesis block of the new coin had to be developed first, so that IP nodes of other clients would be available to connect to, to get the engine, the PeerToPeer node action on the network started.
The others coins has it on the code? I mean, CNC, FTC, etc. |

People should definitely take 0.02BTC as a good starting price for when it hits real exchanges  That was th price before people started to place a lot of bids. I bet it could be 0.02BTC too, maybe more at start. |

Si queres usar las bitcoin para pagar en un comercio, imprimi las claves en papel y entregas como si fuera un billete.
Y fijate la seccion "Alt-Cryptocurrency" donde varios desarrolladores hacen forks de BTC y LTC con optimizaciones, ya hay monedas casi instantaneas.
1º ¿Quién le asegura al comerciante que el número o código QR que le entregas dispone realmente de fondos, y no ha habido doble gasto así que por lo tanto no necesita confirmación? ¿no se podría por ejemplo crear dos copias y comprar en el comercio de al lado con el mismo papel antes de que lleguen las confirmaciones? 2º respecto a las modificaciones de los tiempos de confirmación de las "Alt-Cryptocurrency", según tengo entendido: monedas de confirmación casi instantáneas != monedas seguras La 1ra es verdad, la 2da te digo: Seguí conduciendo tu coche a 10Km/h que tenés menos peligro de chocar. |
