Can anyone tell me if I did my math correct. We should be about 18-19 hours until POW is over? Or am I not taking POS blocks into account?
About Bitbean's Proof of Work phase:
SHA-256 asic mining is energy efficient so it was chosen as the algorithm for the pow period.
After it's initial distribution of 10000 blocks containing 100000 coins each to people mining all around the world, Bitbean becomes a pure proof of stake coin. PoS was active during PoW so about a third of those 10000 blocks were proof of stake blocks so the money supply is less than 1 billion.
Proof of Work is a great way to distribute coins to people. It is better than making an IPO where almost always the developers and insiders buy all the coins from them selfs making them essentially massively premined coins. Bitbean had no premine or IPO at all!

1500 more blocks to go, i think it will be over in 15 hours or so or even early It will be over in 7-8hrs. So we will start the POS on blok 10k, soon enough then. I grabbed some on 3-4 sats and now i try to stake them. This coin should be mattured in 6 hours rite? Yep 6 hours. Staking is already on bro, you dont need to wait until 10k blocks. I am staking since first day of mining. if your coins are mature then you are ready to stake anytime now. There is green bar in wallet to display your staking height that will say approximately when you ll have your stake block. Thanks for the info mate. lmao that hashrate tho  4 Th/s was giving me 4 Millions coins yesterday, today seems hard to collect even 500k coins lol Yea.. I was getting 60M for 30ths when I started mining. An hour later it was at 30M for 30ths and didn't stop climbing. 30 TH/s??? How the hell you got that much power bro? Own miners or rented hash? Both. I have 10-15k usd in hardware. I was hoping you'd share how you resolved the issue, I know others were having similar issues earlier.
It was just a simple error, probably some guys made error while saving .conf file.. If anyone still having connection issue, i can email them my BitBean.conf file, hit me up in PM!! I sent .conf file to popcorn75 last night and he was able to connect to the network and sync his wallet!! |
