The linux thing:
Normally I work/ browse from Linux. Installing software was never a problem for me, but with deeponion wallet I also had to give up and use a windows laptop I still had. This made me miss the first airdrop, damnit.
I must be in the first pages of this ANN asking about it if I remember correctly. Whatever.
From experience, the Great Firewall of China does affect even their visitors. True. They hire chinese workers to manually filter all tcp/ip packets in their country. Thats why the internet is so slow in china. |

Everyone in the DefaultTrust list have their own judgments and can cast their feedback on users they think will have positive/negative impact in the bitcon society. Also, seeing the reference of the neg trust, there is an extensive amount of evidence and proofs to support Lauda's judgment. I would not dip my feet into the waters but unless the dev proved that the DeepOnion project is not a premine coin, then the neg trust would (?) be removed by Lauda.
How can the dev prove that the coin is not premined? It IS premined, or at least 90% of the coin is premined. That is the whole purpose of this coin. Premine 90% and distribute to the community. |

Is this the only one, or do they have competition? Looks like they are early in the development process, but it's one to watch. Its the only one i know of. I was thinking of buying some tokens, but skipped. It has a really great dev team, and the idea is brilliant. I still can't see how it can become a success when people running "exit nodes" could get sued for letting illegal traffic through. They are going live in 17Q4 or 18Q1 |

I already see the frustration when the exchange happens starts at sub 50 cents and goes to 4 cents in no time. Not that I hope that will happen, but the expectation of 1 $ is overly optimistic  I dont think so. There is no other coin right now that can do what onion does. This is pretty unique. All the bitcoin clones out there have really hard times because they add no ground breaking new features. Onion belongs in the top 10 on market cap really... that gives a fair price around 30 USD. |

Dear dev and guys, I know that itīs not profitable the mining with GPU. Any chance of cloud mining?
I tried mining ONIOS with my 6 GPU mining rig (granted, only 1060 6Gb Nvidia cards) and it really is not worth it mining Onions at this stage with GPU's. It seems the ASIC miners are very efficient at mining Onions - a lot more that what GPU's are. So I would suggest that if you want to mine Onions, get an ASIC miner. Or even better - make sure you have 10 good quality posts per week, and qualify for the free airdrops. Much easier (and more fun ) than mining! Lol! ONIONS for the win!!! how do you know it's not worth mining?? I meen, it's kind of hard to make that conclusion when you dont know the price for an ONION? If the price starts at 10 USD/ONION, i'd say it's profitable right now... |

Then i have an electrum wallet with read-only, so i can see my coins and sign messages with my private key etc.

Anyone have a node-list to share? I would like to connect and try solo mining. Do I need to connect via tor manually or is a node list enough for wallet to sync?
how many Mhash do you have since you want to solo mine? 5GH/s+ which I assume would be enough to solo mine at fairly low variance? indeed that is enough.... wish i had that much power! only 3.5 MH here, which gives around 0.13 ONION per hour |
