Is there any premine?Looks good

The OP says there is a 3.35% premine.

I'd like to know if the dev plans on keeping any of it for himself.

90% premine coins will go to the development of the project.

Does that mean the dev is keeping 90% for himself, or he's paying 90% to other people for doing development?
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: WALL Observer : Death and Rebirth of Prices, Crashes and Lifes. on: June 29, 2017, 11:32:58 AM
I loved WO because people posted all kinds of random stuff. Is that allowed in this new WO?

Nice initiatief from Meuh6879 to start a new one asap Cheesy

Yep! I agree! I loved the random nature of the Wall Observer thread including it's off topic ramblings. In fact, the off topic ramblings and rockets, moon landing gifs and general weirdness are what make it a successful thread.

To quote someone else (who said this a long time ago somewhere else in the Wall Observer thread.

"This thread is a bit like going into a bar to meet all your friends and all of your friends want to talk about Bitcoin"

Someone else said it was a social thread, not just for discussing walls and prices. The new one won't be the same if the random off topic ramblings and GIFs aren't allowed.

Bter is where I trade because everything is working, I don't keep them there though.  For that I use a paper wallet.

Can you withdraw from bter? Did you have to verify and give passport scans to be allowed to make withdrawals? There are complaints on the bter thread that you have to verify just to withdraw altcoins now.

Sooo... how come no one here's discussing the website being down!
It was suppose to be back on 8:00"am" Beijing time!
its 9:15"pm"! what is happening?!

Hope that it comes back soon. I'm a little worry since it should've been back up after the maintenance.

well they're back on but all altcoin withdraws are disabled! sooo, dat!

It's offline again with a 500 internal server error. I don't know how long its been down this time, it was working yesterday when I checked.

Cryptopia down for a while. Was it planned?

If it was they didn't pre-announce it on their twitter account.

im stucked on poloniex too...they didnt answer me on my ticket two weeks....

You are not alone, poloniex is overloaded with support tickets. Read its announcement thread and you will find a mountain of complaints about unanswered tickets. If you keep making enough follow up tickets you might eventually get a reply. Either that or poloniex will ignore you until its fixed the wallet.

I'd got so bored I stopped watching the charts, and only noticed when I read your post.

Looks good, will mine. Pool?

Virustotal: 0/61

Still, use a virtual machine or sandbox as the file could have a hidden trojen via CrypterFUD.

in your experience, how often is a wallet link with trojan, put on this forum ?

enough to have an obligatory virus check in every thread Tongue
the virus check has no value against a trojan

It has the value of identifying the most blatantly infected wallets. However there's a forum sticky warning virustotal won't detect some sophisticated infections in new coins. Until any new coin gets established it's best to run the wallet in a virtual machine to stay safe.

I reached out to Yobit and asked the status on the coin being listed and they replied with this.

"If the coin is not added for 10-12 days - it is rejected"

I sent in the request on 4/4/17 and got this package
 • Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)

Just FYI

If you had read the yobit announcement thread you would have found lots of complaints from people who paid the premium listing fee. This complainant paid for SOILcoin to be listed on february 9th, and six weeks later yobit still hadn't added it. I don't think yobit ever added it because searching yobit for soil gives no results.

i have to say im really disappointed with yobit's support service. i paid the premium listing fee on february 9th for SOILcoin to be listed on yobit, and have since sent close to a dozen messages thru the support ticket wondering whats going on. to date, i havent received a single response from the support staff at yobit. they advertise 2 business days for premium listing service for a currency on their add coin page, and i can understand waiting a little longer for this to be done, but... going on SIX WEEKS later... theres really no excuse. is there anyone who knows a person i can contact, other than by opening a support ticket i fear will be ignored, to get this situation resolved? ive noticed, in this thread, other currency developers have experienced similar issues, and while i am a very patient person, its starting to wear thin.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 28, 2017, 10:41:47 PM
Rumor has it all the Lisk guys will get some free byteballs  Shocked  dont know if its true though, will have to wait and see  Grin

Lisk team linked their BTC wallet to Byteball wallet and are entitled to their own percentage of the coin but what I don't know is if Lisk investors are going to share in that spoil.

So far there are no exact plans. Lisk and Iconomi have agreed to do nothing until the end of the Byteball distribution.
But maybe they distribute them to their holders after that? No one knows precisely now.

I don't think Lisk agreed to do nothing until the end of the Byteball distribution. The last LiskHQ post I could find concerning Byteball is below. LiskHQ says they are currently discussing with Tony the details of a plan, but I couldn't find any promise to do nothing until the end of the distribution. The quote says expect some news in February, but there's been none in the Lisk thread.

Is there at the moment any offical statement how Lisk will proceed with the earned Byteball amount?
Are there also some numbers available how many Byteball Lisk controlls at the moment?

Many thanks in advance!

The statement so far: for on-going operations and long-term storage.
But I think Max will comment on it in the near future.

On December 31, Lisk published the Financial Report 2016.
There you can find all the details about the financial resources of Lisk, including Byteball.

Thanks Poly, as always!

We won't dump them. I think we found a very fair method for everyone, currently discussing with Tony the details. After that we need to find a legal framework with our lawyers. Expect some news in February.

Grin That's great, you should have one for Finex as well though.

How about this one?

Is cryptox.pl getting DDOSed?  Experiencing pretty bad connectivity.

Same here.

It might be getting DDOSed. Apparently it's been on and off for a while.
216  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Looking for wallet program with 1 password to recover whole wallet on: February 03, 2017, 12:54:55 AM
To me the easiest by far is using SEED and Electrum.  Those 12-13 words can be kept anywhere, and when you use them on any machine you can rebuild your entire wallet.  ALL addresses ever used and their transactions will come back quickly.  No digital files to retain as you mentioned above.

A noteworthy point mentioned above is that ANY solution, where at any time, the private keys/SEED words are online is a risk.  You can help to mitigate that risk by encrypting your wallet, which will then encrypt the SEED.  The better solution, again my opinion, is to use a hardware wallet so NO keys ever see online.

You can use an electrum wallet offline for cold storage, and transfer a transaction to a different online wallet to send coins. The cold storage wallet never needs to go online.

I have never used swaps on bitfinex. Can USD margin be used for long position in the other markets as well as for shorts in BTC? I think I read you can borrow bitcoins and use them to go either long or short with, and I assume USD is similar.

I don't use Finex personally, so I'm not sure. I'd have thought that would be the case though.

I can not seeing it go below $1000 at this point. It shot pass it without a flinch in rolling on forward.
Just need to wait until the next economic news comes and see how it withstands what China exchanges and Trump is doing to the states economic woes have in store for the next 48 hours. If it stays above the price it is at now then it can be bulletproof. Wink

Steady now, we're not out of the woods yet. Once we break the ATH, then maybe we can contemplate an end to triple digits. Right now price is approaching a delicate position, and, like PoolMiner mentioned, it could still all turn out to be a bull trap.

So the scenario below is not yet impossible?

Does this link show historical BTC swaps used together with the unused swaps, omitting the USD swaps?

https://www.bfxdata.com/swaphistory/btc

The bottom chart on that page shows this.

total sum of BTC margin funding: 22,414

unused sum of BTC margin funding: 199

The top chart on this page shows these values.

https://bfxdata.com/positions/btcusd

BTCUSD long positions: 34 425

BTCUSD short positions: -13 267

I assume the different totals are because USD is included and those figures are active values.

I always thought the difference was because BTC margin was used for long position in the other markets as well as for shorts in BTC.

jfi there are still > 22k BTC shorts on bitfinex. that can escalate quickly. next week is critical  Wink

Short positions on bitfinex haven't exceeded 16k since the hack.  The current figure is about 13k.  I'm not sure where you are getting 22k from.

https://bfxdata.com/positions/btcusd
From here: https://bfxdata.com/swaphistory/totals

I wonder what the difference means.

You can reserve swaps without utilizing them, which can get you a better rate.  So there are 22k btc reserved, and 16k already sold, leaving 6k btc sitting there ready to be sold for the right price without any additional swap cost to the trader.

This ONE-THOUSAND must be our new floor.

Obviously it is, and IMHO it is here to stay for a while.
And I would add finally!
4 sweetest digits ever IMHO. And now that I know for a fact that rich bullies are in love with BTC I'll hold onto my belongings even more. This is just the beginning.

Now people are used to the idea of $1000 it won't be going back below it again. After the next blow off top the bears will be expecting to see triple digits again, but it won't happen.
