641  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: May 30, 2017, 01:46:12 AM
It's a great opportunity for young people, because it will increase their desire to do business, because basically bitcoin is very connected to online business. Well, we just need to direct them not to use it for a negative purpose.

That is a good opportunity for these young people, but the problem is, it will block them to great opportunities that may come to them in the future. Earning bitcoins is not that profitable, it may give you some small profits but it is not enough. And there is a high possibility that these young people can be victim of scammers, because they don't know how the online businesses work and they don't know much about them.

At such young age, when you tell them to earn money by doing something, the tendency of that kid or teen is to find another way to earn more, and that is investing on some sites, that they might not know, a scam or some Ponzis.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon on: May 29, 2017, 10:30:07 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/japanese-budget-airlines-will-accept-bitcoin-in-2017-install-btms-at-airports

According to this article, Japanese Budget Airlines are going to accept bitcoins this year. They declared that later this year we can now enjoy flights without bringing our wallets but our bitcoins in our smartphones. As part also of their new innovation they have installed BTMs or Bitcoin ATM on the airport for the convenience of their customers. With this we can expect an increase in tourist visits to Japan.

That is great, Converting your bitcoin to fiat is not my type, I prefer these kind of payment. I also want to visit Japan though I don't want to bring a lot of money with me, but with these I can visit Japan without opening my wallet. With these many tourist will not just visit bitcoin, but will be curious about bitcoin especially to people who don't know it.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: May 29, 2017, 09:11:25 PM
It's not going to do it anytime soon or likely even within 15 years, but it could in our lifetime I reckon. I think more economic instability in certain countries and maybe another financial collapse/crisis will happen soon rather than later and that could bring in many new people to bitcoin which could have a snowball effect.

absolutely not. there is no point in thinking it ever will replace any major fiat currency. just stop thinking/hoping that it will happen. it will not.

Why will it not? If in the future bitcoin keeps going up and fiat keeps going down which is what happens when they print more of it on a whim people might wise up. Money should grow over time not devalue and bitcoin could solve this and that's what's great about a deflationary currency.
yes that is right, it is not really gong to happen so soon. i think it will take decades, because still a very little number of people know about bitcoin, while majority of people do not have any knowledge about bitcoin. i think still people need good knowledge about bitcoin. and specially in backward countries where people do not have any knowledge about bitcoin.

It will be hard to replace in any ways. BTC been famous but not as famous of dollar ,BTC were usually used digitally while dollar can be used in all aspect and worldwide so its unnecessary to replace bitcoin.

Why are we thinking that bitcoin will ever replace dollar, we all know that it is impossible, just think of it, whose government will accept these digital currency in their country as their currency, bitcoin has anonymity, it is decentralized. So that means they will not be in control of the government, and they will not accept that. And we all know that these fiats are also a way of knowing one's citizenship, it is important to a country. Bitcoin will just stay as a secondary currency.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: May 29, 2017, 07:13:17 PM
Yes,bitcoin is the new era of currency, it has so many features that has lead to its popularity and  soon will make the world a place with paperless currency, it is already set to dominate all the currencies of the world as there  are no barriers that a normal person who is using normal currency has ,for example, if one has to take some amount of money with him to some other country  in cash,he is not allowed due to the restrictions that a particular country allows a person to carry a certain amount of cash, whereas in bitcoin there is no such restriction

Bitcoin is a new era of currency, the thing is, it can be an investment asset, and used as a payment. The thing about these currency is, it's volatility, I don't think that bitcoin will be a good global currency, replace the fiats if it is not scaled. Do you want a currency that changes if value every minute? Who would accept such currency. That will be painful not only to users but to the merchants and stores.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is it that's affecting the Bitcoin price fall? on: May 29, 2017, 09:25:10 AM
What is it that's affecting the Bitcoin price fall? We have all seen the price last week reaching the all-time highs of $2500 or more. I know most people were expecting to see 1BTC sold at $3000 or more today but It went down back to around $2190. What affected this price fall?

That's obvious, because many people who has a great number of bitcoins sold it. That is just a good reason why the bitcoin price falls down, and I mean who would've not sell their bitcoin at that price, it was just a dream the time they invested in bitcoins, now it is the reality, though after they've sold their bitcoins, the price dumped.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: May 28, 2017, 11:45:51 PM
What are the things to do to succeed in trade? What are you doing to make your business bigger?
How can we make more money?

There are a lot of ways to succeed in trading, read a lot of articles, be updated on what is happening on your asset, and other assets that may affect yours and don't trade on something you don't know. Making your business bigger, means bigger capital, try investing in some sites, use your skill.

And we can't make money, why don't you just ask your government to make more.  Roll Eyes
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Barry Silbert segwit agreement with >80% miner agreement. on: May 28, 2017, 10:37:32 PM
They are only miners. They are not special snowflakes. Users make bitcoin valuable not miners.

pot. kettle. black.

slush. groppel. snowflake.

" They are only miners"? then you're into UASF? We all know miners are so important, except you. If they are not important why do they still need to confirm our transactions, with that one proof, miners is really important.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if you invented a quantum leap in mining technology what would you do? on: May 28, 2017, 10:09:57 PM
As others have mostly said, use it to mine a few hundred coins and probably report it to the devs. I'm not averse to the idea of getting rich, but I also don't want to destroy Bitcoin and the faith people have in it; perhaps I should just mine a bunch of shitcoins...

Sneaky bastard  Grin
I think I will do the same thing, though not reporting it back to the devs, it is your invention, why will you dispose it to the devs? You invented something that will make you rich, aren't you fascinated with that. If I did found a way like that, I can make my name bigger than any other bitcoin holders in the world, invest it on company, and maybe, also, make my own company
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if you invented a quantum leap in mining technology what would you do? on: May 28, 2017, 03:48:15 PM
here's a totally hypothetical test of your crypto ethics.

if you were sitting tinkering in your garage and came up with a way to mine that was instantly 100-1000x more powerful, what would you do?

would you sell it? 51% the shit out of the blockchain to reshape it how you wanted it? hand the design over in a benevolent manner to everyone? drip feed it onto the market to stop insane distortions?

100 - 1000 times more powerful than the latest mining hardware? That is a hell of a hardware man, I think with that, you will need a good internet connection and a 10 cooling fans.  It can mine $2000 to $3000 per week, that is really great, but the thing is, if you hand it over at the market, everyone will be trying to mine bitcoin, demand go down, and obviously,  price will do too.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: May 28, 2017, 11:14:29 AM
I'm using web wallets for making transactions/investing my money in bitcoin, and also for storing the profit I got in making profit online.

Since I earn my first bitcoin, I am using web wallets. The web wallet I am using has also android application which is pretty efficient for me because I can convert my bitcoins to fiat and withdraw it in any banks any time, anywhere, as long as there are internet.
Web wallets or online wallets are good for the newbies or for the small amount of bitcoin that is needed for usage every day or being a hot wallet. If you already gaining some good or big amounts of bitcoin then i think it is better to have desktop wallet and just use your web wallet for converting from bitcoin to fiat.

I think web wallets are for persons that is using bitcoins for everyday transactions because with these as said by @Janation, is efficient whenever and wherever you needed your bitcoins to be converted or such. But I think earning from signature campaigns is not that big so I think it is good to have a web wallet.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: May 28, 2017, 06:44:24 AM
We are now experiencing the efficient, fast and amazing convergence of technologies which one way or the other greatly contributing to the rise of the cryptocurrencies and making Bitcoin as the King of the Hill so far.

Looking into the future...what do you think will be the scenario involving Bitcoin twenty years from now? Will Bitcoin be worth more than a million or will it ceased to exist? Or will a new crytocurrency replace the supremacy of Bitcoin...?
For sure bitcoin will spread in the whole world and all the people in this world know what are bitcoin and its purpose. All bank in the world will accept bitcoin and also convenience store accept bitcoin as payment of there costumer.Lastly, the price of bitcoin will increase in 20 years from now.

It is known all over the world, the thing is, there are still places that are so far from modernization. Though they knew technology, they are not updated to it because of their far far place from town. Saying that, not all the people will be using bitcoin. But one thing is for sure, bitcoin's price will increase.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: May 28, 2017, 01:54:40 AM
I want to save bitcoin for the future. Because I believe bitcoin has a big futur$  Cheesy

We all do too, everyone knows the potential of bitcoin to increase after years. And everyone witnessed the price pump that happened almost reaching $3000 but crashes, why? because of the investors that sold their bitcoins which they've been waiting for years now.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 27, 2017, 11:17:17 PM
Btc is very good of secondary incomes,it is enough to look at sig campaignes, find me another place in internet  where i can make same money with fiat like here with bitcoin
Not just secondary income but there are many people who use bitcoin as the main income. like me
I'm not working I'm in college. So there's no way I'm working full. I work part time in bitcoin

I think if you are studying in college and then being active in these forum is hard, college is where you put all of your focus and knowledge, it is not that I want you to stop doing part time job here in the forum, but I think you must focus on your studies. I think it is good if you can join a signature campaign with less posts per week, so you can focus more on your studies than here.
654  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN HALVING? on: May 27, 2017, 09:23:07 PM
If bitcoin halves, it will be like a stock split.

There will be double the number of bitcoins there used to be.

Doubling the total number of coins(supply) could mean the value of btc will immediately decrease by half.

Then eventually one of the forks will die off and wind up unsupported.

It likely won't be the "dream deal" a lot of people expect where they end up with 2x coins at the same price.

I think you are thinking wrong here sir, Bitcoin halving is not like that, it is like you are describing to us what is Forking and what might happen if that is made. Forking is different with Bitcoin Halving, and as the previous posts said, there will be no halving until 2020, so better to save your bitcoin now sir.
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: May 27, 2017, 08:09:58 PM
I really hope we get a time machine now. I will take a short visit in 2009 and buy around just 100btc(maybe I can become that first person to start its demand) and then will traved around 10years forward than now. hope I will not change my timeline and if I do I will be facing  the Dhaka. Grin but atleast 100btc will be there for me.

I think if I travel back to that time line, I would never go back here, I will focus my life earning bitcoin, or maybe buying them online. If I focus my life to bitcoin since that year, I think I am a millionaire now with that price pump holding almost a thousand BTC on my wallet.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoins now, At this price, It Isn't working on: May 27, 2017, 11:52:08 AM
Now is the right time to buy Bitcoin. The price is down. According to the stock market law or the trading law, buy when the price is down and sell it if the price goes up. Bitcoin will soon rise again.

That is right, but I don't think that is a law, it is a must, to be a successful investor. It is a really obvious move for investors, but there are smart investors where they wait for the best price to sell their bitcoin,  and it happened these last week just after the pump, which resulted to a duml.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I were Satoshi Nakamoto... on: May 27, 2017, 10:14:44 AM
If i were satoshi nakamoto, i will used my knowledge to be one of the person that will promote bitcoin and i will help the people who are in need of bitcoin and also fix the problems in bitcoin now and also be the proof that bitcoin is not scam because a lot of people are keep saying negative things about my bitcoin Cool.

If you appear openly, then bitcoin will not be decentralized as it is now and you will become the target of mafia in capitalist government. The obvious bitcoin price will not be as good now as many countries will recognize it as owner because of your citizenship status.
That explained it, then I think Satoshi Nakamoto is a humble and very kind person, even if I am targeted by mafias, and many countries recognize themselves as the owner, I will not deny to the public that I did, create bitcoin. It will create my own fortune, and will put my name into history.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: May 27, 2017, 08:51:43 AM
Do you think the richest families or personalities in the world would be interested in using bitcoins??
And if so, would that be a good thing for us small people or negative??
I mean rich people are capabale of so much things, so it makes me wonder..

I think it depends on how will they treat bitcoin. Most rich people or families are more often focused on their family work or job. And if they are not attracted to it, and there will come a time that bitcoin is so popular and they don't know it, I think they will be buying some, since they are rich, it's price is nothing to them.

And if these rich people use bitcoin, maybe they will be taking advantage to it, making some work to poor people and paying them bitcoin, since bitcoin has a high price, the poor people can't say no.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest bitcoin regrets? on: May 27, 2017, 12:14:27 AM
I regret that I did not dump everything I had into it in 2010.

I think you learn your lesson now. It is still not late though, you can still invest now, but the thing is, it is more expensive than it's price on 2010. You need to think of it really careful.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 26, 2017, 11:49:18 AM
The current Altcoins have a long way to go if they are to stand any chance against the formidable Bitcoin but perhaps new Alts can spring up  with mesmerizing potentials capable of challenging Bitcoin but until then I doubt the current ones can.

Any altcoins that are created have their own power, which does not depend on its value, which depends on the market's preference. Any altcoin is created. The ICO is not just a time for people to invest, it's also a time for the coin to gain popularity. So, altcoin can compete vs bitcoin.

That is right, it's just that, bitcoin is the first digital currency that is ever been distributed that is why it has the most user and high price. It is just popular because of it's price and it's characteristics, especially it's volatility. I think if bitcoin is distibuted the same time as bitcoin, I think ETH or Litecoin is leading.
