61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If governments block Bitcoin, does Bitcoin have no value? on: June 16, 2021, 08:33:12 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies will not be banned or blocked by all governments. Few governments don't like cryptos but countries like El Salvador will be there.
There are few countries that thought of blocking it but they are now thinking to consider it as an asset rather than a currency.
People also tend to find a way to use Bitcoin even if it is blocked. For example, P2P was a hit when once it was restricted in our country where financial institutions cannot work with exchanges related to crypto.
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who were the morons that bought 60k bitcoin? on: June 16, 2021, 08:00:40 PM
I'm just curious.... Or didn't sell 60k bitcoin? or 50k or 40k

we all gotta learn our lessons Smiley

Love to see this kind of thread in 2021, and then fast forward 2024 or 2028, we may all be laughing and yeah, we did learn our lessons, by not selling our bitcoin and keep on buying because of the great opportunity we have right now.

And for those who bought at $60k and didn't sell, congrats for holding and keep doing it for the next two halvings and then we can talk.  Grin

We can't judge them to be morons, because we don't know the future. They may have bought at ATH this year, but who knows, if they will hold and just wait for few years, the price will be doubled or more? So don't talk as if that's the ultimate ATH of bitcoin. Because we never know what the future holds. And they may be the one who will end up laughing when the price goes up in the next coming years.

I agree with you that we don't know the future and people who bought at an all-time high shouldn't be called morons. In fact, my brother's friend bought Bitcoin at $18000 when everyone thought Bitcoin won't grow again after it fell from its all-time high. But you see how it went as high as $60k plus. Cryptocurrencies are the future and I believe that they will grow more and people who bought at this high will be in profit as well.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 16, 2021, 07:29:25 PM
Covid has made a huge impact on our countries economy and day by day it is getting worse. The gas price is going up daily including everything which is essential.
The supply chain is messed up for many sectors and the job market is also going down with more than 10 million losing their job.
Only people with good wealth can get good healthcare facilities which are of course more saddening than the badly hit economy. The only sector which is on the positive side and continuously rising currently is the stock market.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Not just money but oil is most important in the World on: June 16, 2021, 06:47:09 PM
Oil is really important as of now in this world. I think money and oil are dependent on each other but one day this is going to change as the world is trying to shift to renewable energy resources and everybody is currently researching more options about it. So, I think one day Oil won't be that important as it is right now.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: June 16, 2021, 05:00:32 PM
For me to be rich is obviously staying in peace along with family, friends along with travel, and money. Money is necessary in this rough world and somehow it is interlinked with nearly everything nowadays. I know many people believe money is not necessary mostly but somehow it is what I feel. I believe most of you will agree to be healthy is being rich and somehow to be healthy one has to spend a good amount of money. Currently, in my country, monetarily rich people are able to attain very good health. Atleast in this pandemic, this is the scenario. Not blaming anyone but this is what it is.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: El salvador has become new history of bitcoin! on: June 12, 2021, 01:18:31 PM
I believe the decision made by El Salvador will heavily impact the market and industry overall. Now, I just hope that other countries just look into this matter and then make their decision on adopting crypto.
This step much appreciated because I feel that this would change the way people will see cryptos in the future and gradually cryptos will be accepted by every country.
Few countries are planning to accept it but it will fall under an asset class rather than a currency.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you on: June 11, 2021, 10:02:46 AM
Whatever you do, I think the way you want to make this possible will be tough enough as most countries now take cryptocurrency and their transaction seriously as many do not like it. So, as many users suggested, P2P is a good option if you can arrange a cash transaction or else, your transaction will be noticed.

In my opinion, to avoid all the risk of doing so, it is better that you either HODL, sell them if you want to encash but following your countries legal procedure including completing the KYC if it is required.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 10, 2021, 04:54:55 PM
Sergio Ramos' contract will expire in June 2021 and of course Real Madrid will think again if they want to extend his contract, because now Ramos has entered the age of 35, and the age of 35 is not a potential age for a football player, especially now Ramos is injured too often and it is very detrimental to real madrid. according to news circulating real madrid are currently negotiating with several players who have the same position as ramos, and one of them is Sevilla defender Jules Kunde who is very strong in aerial duels.
It will probably be a reality that Ramos and Real Madrid will end up if they find a worthy replacement. So far Ramos has been injured more often because he is probably 35 years old and he will probably admit that he is starting to feel weak now. Not being named in the Spanish team is a sign that Ramos is already in doubt as a strong enough player in defence. Time go so fast, maybe he will feel his career as an active player is coming to an end.

Even though Ramos might feel he is not strong enough to contribute to Real Madrid it will completely depend upon the management to sign him again or not. Based on the business prospect for the team, I slightly doubt that the management might extend the contract for Ramos.
Now, as he is getting injured quite often, I feel he will retire or probably his contract won't be extended for a longer period. If I speak about the gameplay, I think he should retire after his contract ends. It will benefit both, the club and himself or his reputation as one of the best defenders but if he can come back, as a supporter I would love to watch him play, actually who won't, being a supporter.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: A bubble is when price is not justified on: June 09, 2021, 07:59:42 PM
Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies becomes a bubble if the price goes up abruptly or you may say, suddenly without any solid justification for the rise. Often we have seen that the price goes up and then gradually crashes based on a particular Tweet or any other FUDs. The price rise based on these can be considered as a bubble because it goes up to come down. But in this process, few investors hold on to their cryptos which makes them more stable and preventing the fall to some extent or the price.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Elon going to sell his BTCs? on: June 09, 2021, 07:30:42 PM
I believe and as per the news as well, Elon Musk has sold a partial investment on cryptos he made. Even if he sells complete investments made by him, I think long-term investors should not bother and focus on the market rather than the FUD makers or institutional investors who just took the opportunity to make some good profits.
Manipulation in this industry is pretty obvious and it will continue in the future as well but it will overcome such things to grow larger gradually.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To diversify or not to diversify... on: June 09, 2021, 07:15:34 PM
I personally prefer diversifying the investments over multiple opportunities including stocks, real estate, bonds, and even golds. Regarding cryptocurrencies including Ethereum, Dash, Tron among few emerging cryptos apart from Bitcoin can turn out to be good. We can't deny as of now that if other cryptos are rising, Bitcoin has to rise, but nowadays the price drop is gradually very large regarding Bitcoin, and less for few coins which means diversifying will help for sure.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin be traded in all countries in 2025? on: June 09, 2021, 06:35:53 PM
Bitcoin is already traded p2p in every country of the world despite all the bans and regulations governments and dictators have, but my prediction is that most country will adopt Bitcoin the same way like they adopted gold.
By 2025 Bitcoin will probably be used as backup for main currencies and it would be much easier and faster to trade with Bitcoin than it is with gold.
People need to realize that nobody can stop them if they want to separate money from state and use Bitcoin for that.

Actually, the government can stop their respective citizens from using Bitcoin for anything in their respective countries. With growing demand, many countries are planning their centralized crypto. Hence, Bitcoin to be used as backup currency is tough enough to happen. Also, another reason is the price fluctuation which will stop many to use Bitcoin as a currency.
But obviously, it will be traded to earn profits rather than using to transact or use it on daily basis on every purchase. I just hope no country puts a ban on any cryptos.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: June 08, 2021, 02:55:43 PM
Another very Important one:  With Physical currency you have reasonable control over your fund, I doubt you will get thesame level of control if use their centralized version in virtual/cashless form.
It's a bit shocking sometimes that the world/nations wanted/want cashless society based on centralized virtual currency. Who do they think controls a centralized currency system?
 Humans too careless like drunkards.
Money seems non-existent when we put it in a centralized system; banks and institutions circulate it for their own gains.
It feels like we don't own it. We just let them decide what they want to do with it.
Bitcoin might fix this issue, but vulnerabilities are still present.

Usually, people put their money into a centralized system/bank in order to have liquid funds to save and spend. In order to increase our money, we can diversify to avoid putting the whole money into a centralized system/bank by investing them into various investment opportunities along with cryptos due to the vulnerabilities as you said.

Crypto like Bitcoin is a good option to gain some good profits and use it sometimes for a transaction but completely relying on Bitcoin or any crypto is a risk because of the price fluctuation which goes violet sometimes.
Centralized currency won't be replaced by any cryptos but the possibility of centralized crypto is quite imaginable. Hence, the price volatility will be always there and without it, Bitcoin won't be so popular either because maximum people put their money on Bitcoin to earn some profits.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: June 05, 2021, 05:25:21 PM
If I have a chance I always tried to grab the opportunity to create another source of income. As for now struggling with a source of income is one of the most important due to this pandemic.

Some of the possible ways to earn money only are taking online jobs like designing, coding, teaching, and also signature campaigns consider as an online job too. Again those are not for a lifetime still it's better to find another way of source of income.
^ You are not alone, even my small business now won't work due to the pandemic. But don't think it is appropriate for me to have focus online and make money, I still love to work outside. Being a health worker and as a frontline, it is not an easy task to work outside, how I wish there is also a good job online that I could make money the same my salary outside but the fact, there is none of them and all of them are temporary.
Nevertheless, if I have good skills of programming, coding, or any in-demand skills online, I will grab the opportunity to make money online and stop my risky job.

This is actually so unfortunate to see small businesses getting affected due to the pandemic. I was about to start my own business with a friend but due to this pandemic and restrictions, it got postponed. And now we are hearing about the possible 3rd wave. I hope everybody becomes more responsible to prevent this. Currently, I am trying to figure out some income opportunities online along with my trading and campaigns. I also work on some websites related to traffic

Currently, I don't have any offline job as I left it because I planned to start a business which is getting postponed as mentioned above. Also recently I started to trade at our stock market and I am still learning.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market on: June 04, 2021, 05:45:53 PM
The words of Elon is powerful to his followers thats why whatever he says they're taking it seriously as their sign of what can happen in the coming days.

Its not only about his money, but more on his popularity as an entrepreneur and as a ceo. Rich people can manipulate the market but its a plus if you're also an influencer and popular especially on social media because thats where you can attract other people to follow you and believe on what you say.
That's the problem that we are talking about right? I mean there are people who are willing to let him be the king of what he is doing and that is not something we should be allowing him to do. We are talking about something that is dangerous to crypto world and somehow we are all fine with it? I do not believe that he should be that much powerful and we should stop caring about what he is saying.

Unfortunately he has a ton of followers that listen to what he says and does what he says and that is why it is a very dangerous situation for me and all the people like me, we do not give crap about what he says but we have to live in a market where he dictates things even if we ignore it because others won't. Just because he is a rich business person doesn't mean that he should be cared, being a rich business person doesn't mean you are great at market or coins.

Elon Musk has huge credibility in the market regarding new innovation and technology. As he is viewed as one of the top leaders in the business/industrial sector including technology, people tend to follow him. This is just human psychology. We cannot change this as the number of people who follows him blindly is huge though this is stupid.

Though I doubt he wants to destroy the crypto industry as he is likely inclined towards this technology. Previously also he did something which made the price of his own company shares fall drastically.
Also, the fact that people are thinking that he is a whale in this crypto field is inevitable, which is somehow misleading and making people think that he is the only one who can change everything but there are many whales who are impacting the valuation. I hope people take their own decision regarding anything, the actions of influential people should be limited while taking decisions.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Medium of Exchange Vs Store of Value? on: June 04, 2021, 11:59:04 AM
I used to prefer Bitcoin to be both medium of exchange and a store of value but as of now the fees are so high, I find it cost-effective to transact using any other cryptos. If there is no question of disclosing my identity to the seller or the receiver I also use Paypal but only if the fees are on the lower side. Bitcoin is accepted widely than any other cryptos and even sometimes prefered against Paypal, so obviously it is great for the transaction.
Regarding the store of value, everybody in this world has seen the uprise of BTC valuation. Obviously, it is a great option for investment or store of value.
The usage completely depends on the users, whether they want to purchase Bitcoin to transact or to hold for value increase. As of now, it is a store of value for me only.
77  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: June 03, 2021, 11:39:51 AM
Elon Musk is a great leader and also intelligent/cunning individual and with his tweets, he can influence the market and he can make a profit. I am not sure if he sold his investments which he made earlier but surely his every action has some importance and if anyone can figure out his real intention it would have been great.

Obviously, if this was so easy most of them would have been sitting in a position like Elon Musk. Just to be clear, even I was pissed off with his tweets which pushed it up and pulled it down but there is something that we are unable to figure out but obviously, I have some intuitions that he won't let crypto industry die for sure.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Fiat on: June 03, 2021, 08:30:58 AM
In my opinion, comparing crypto with fiat is useless because both of them have to survive together with their uniqueness. Both of them are reliant on each other as the government will never choose crypto over fiat. They can co-exist but they can never replace one another.
Cryptocurrencies and fiat both have disadvantages as well like valuation, fees, inflation, etc. Hence, they will be dependent on each other somehow or the other.
For example, we still have to purchase cryptocurrencies using fiats and we still spend our earnings from crypto in the form of fiat after exchanging it most of the time.
Regarding Gold, it will always hold a separate position in investors' minds because it is completely different and not any form of currency.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever become a widely adopted global payment solution? on: June 01, 2021, 04:16:51 PM
Bitcoin adoption is still in progress and I am sure that bitcoin will widely used by many people around the world. I think although maybe it will not be the main currency because likely government will force their citizens to use Fiat as main currency. I think bitcoin will be the best and most popular alternative payment method. In my opinion bitcoin is better than any remittance service. I personally feel very lucky because bitcoin is created, I can pay many goods and services in website with very simple and easy way unlike when I use other payment method.

Bitcoin might be used widely but I doubt it can be used as the main currency and not because of the government.
People might not use them as the main currency because of the high transaction fees. It is quite clear that the transaction fees will go up if there is a rise in the price.

The higher fees will obviously affect us because users might have various payment methods to transact globally with lower fees. I agree the ease of transaction is better with Bitcoin but if the fees are too high many users will use other payment methods.
