To me, Salah will surely be missed by them, even if it's just for a month.

They have their match against Arsenal Tomorrow for the FA Cup and I think against Arsenal it would cost them dearly. In the Liverpool vs Arsenal match, Salah did a very good job. Salah is the backbone of their attack, and him leaving for 1 match against a team as strong as Arsenal is going to hurt them.

They will have a match in the Premier League in Bournemouth as well. I don't think that will be a problem as Bournemouth is not that strong of a team. They still got Trent Alexander Arnold, Nunez, and others still for the attack so I believe they will be enough to pull through against Bournemouth. Regrettably, this game between Arsenal and Liverpool comes much too early since this is still the FA Cup and it is quite a prestigious competition. Seeing them play against each other in the third round isn't optimal, but both have to deal with the situation. It is hard to give one team an advantage over the other team. But the home advantage can't be ignored here. I would still go with a 50:50 chance for both teams and in a worst case scenario Liverpool has the way out with a draw and then get the repetition game at Anfield Road. Then I think Liverpool would indeed have an advantage. But it's also cool to look forward to this game now.

If you look at the position Manchester city are on this period, you will know that even though other injuries players join them to Play their remaining games, it will be difficult for them to take that position from Arsenal and Liverpool. I know that De Bruyne is among the potential players in Manchester city but their points has dropped to some point that De Bruyne cannot help the team to recover from the losses because, many teams has beaten them to achieved points from them.

The main problem is salah will not be playing against arsenal caused by he has been participating in the AFCON. This is also making the situation to be even more difficult. Even though FA cup was not as prestigious as EPL or UCL but it's still very important to win it caused by it will help the club to add more achievements. I don't have a full overview at the moment which team is losing which players because of the Africa Cup, but Salah can't be replaced by anyone and is the biggest loss for Liverpool in this game. Considering how important and prestigious this competition is, I can understand Klopp who has been complaining quite often about the consequences for his team when players like Salah and Mane are gone. That was when Mane still played for Liverpool and was the second top striker. That's really a bad situation if a team loses their entire world class attack line because of the African Cup, but everyone knows about it and it's part of the deal Liverpool is accepting when they use these players.

While you have mentioned Mbappe I would like to state my opinion about the speculations out such as he could join Liverpool in January or in the summer.  

First of all I think that Salah's best alternative would be Mbappe. I'm talking about Salah also because he is likely to leave Liverpool in the summer. It could have happened even last summer if he got that offer from Saudi Arabia earlier. Now Liverpool have enough time work on an alternative signing for Salah's possible departure. Honestly I don't expect Mbappe to leave PSG in January but anything can happen in the summer. I think Liverpool and Real Madrid will be the teams making a contract offer to him.

We are definitely not signing Mbappe this year, he probably goes to Real Madrid or stays at Paris We most likely replace Salah with some up-and-coming winger.

Yeah there is a possibility for Mbappe to even stay PSG for at least one more year by activating a clause existing on his contract. But rather than that I would like to see him joining Real Madrid or Liverpool. i was wondering about that as well as at first they said Haaland only missed the second game at the FIFA Club World Cup because he was missing in the first game due to an injury and then couldn't be nominated for the second game because of the regulations. But now it seems that he has a more severe injury than was initially communicated in public. Otherwise he would have long been back I think. Hopefully he won't miss any of the important games that are about to take place especially during February.

Of course they are supposed to take their time and come back when they feel 100% healthy and not 99% healthy, but Pep Guardiola has always been a coach who pays close attention to the medical condition of his players. I remember how he got into arguments with the head of the medical team at Bayern Munich because Pep Guardiola understands a lot about treatment and recovery and how to distribute the workload of a whole season on all the shoulders he has available in his team.

That's why they won't take any risks with Haaland or De Bruyne or any other player. Guardiola understands very well that having all players available can be incredibly important when the final phase in all competitions begin. Every player is needed on the best level possible.
