2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: January 16, 2023, 01:23:18 PM
Can't wait to see this match happens. Devin Haney is right in choosing to fight Lomachenko. I agree with Tank Davis that although Haney is an undisputed champion, he is not really that saleable of a fighter. I think it's because of the way he fights. Defeating an old Loma would somehow boost his popularity. If he will be defeated at least he is defeated in a mega fight and by Lomachenko. It is still worth it.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 13, 2023, 02:08:20 PM
Well the foremost reason could be that these projects are scam. They aren't planning to pay. Another possibility is that these projects somehow died in the process. They didn't even survive up to the day they need to airdrop their dead tokens.

If I were you I wouldn't be doing much work in participating airdrops. I'd rather be just flipping burgers and earn properly. At least my hard work is compensated.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 13, 2023, 01:35:48 PM
2022 surely is a bloody year for Bitcoin and probably all portfolios, but it is never a wise idea to sell during a dip. That could be a trading strategy but make sure you know very well your analysis and know exactly what price you will buy back. If you are clueless about it, you better be hodling strong and just wait for the bounce back. There will always be that time. If 2022 is bloody, 2018 was bloodier. I was there and I survived. There's no way I can't now.

Year 2022 is  history now but it will be remembered as a very difficult year for crypto, as collapse of FTX and Luna  triggered massive sell-off across the board & many investors suffered  huge losses & some of them lost their life time savings. Additionally, the interest rate continued rising throughout the year due to high rate of inflation,  which had  also negative impact on all financial markets including crypto.

Hopefully, 2023 will be an improvement year over 2022, which is also evident from beginning of market recovery. Bitcoin is now trading above 18k which is a good news for crypto Investors & traders. Market analysts also expect a less harsh monetary policy in 2023 which is another positive factor.

This early I can guess the year 2023 is probably a better year than 2022. Every possibility is open but I remain hopeful that this year would see a better performance in the market. The signs are pointing that way at least. We are not guaranteed though.

The fall of Terra and FTX and others all happened in 2022. But it doesn't mean there are no more collapses this year. Gemini and Genesis as well as Binance, Crypto.com, Huobi, and others are probably dealing with some financial hardships. I hope the recovery of the market will continue so that all of them will also have better days this year.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 12, 2023, 02:24:23 PM
I think the best answer is "commitment". Yes, this is absolutely true, because those who makes a living through gambling or sports betting are always there sourcing information and past events of those clubs and teams, i mean; Before it would get to match days, they will go in research about those team and clubs that are to play and know their past records and events. I believe with all these commitments they would definitely makes out a winning.
So if you want to be involved, you need to devote your time and work very hard before you could start making a living from sports betting.

It's not about commitment. This is gambling. It needs money to begin with. I wonder if I were to make a living out of sports betting, what am I gonna do first? Does it mean I already have the money to pay rent, buy food, and gamble? What if I lose? Where should I get the money that I need for my daily expenses? Where should I get the money to continue betting?

Sports betting is not easy. Not only do upsets happen and predictions fail, the odds are also not equal. It makes everything complicated.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 11, 2023, 02:40:36 PM
The key is to stick to Bitcoin no matter what. Bitcoin won't fail us in the end. We only have to remain solid and loyal to what Bitcoin means. We hodl. We keep our Bitcoins where we control the private keys. We never be greedy and risk them in centralized platforms. We stack sats.

It is only when we panic sell, save them in centralized exchanges, and invest them in risky deals that we fail with Bitcoin.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 11, 2023, 12:57:30 PM
It depends on your purpose for selling. If I sell because I needed the exchange itself or I need to convert it to a different coin so that I could withdraw it with cheaper fees, I would sell it immediately. But if I sell it because I am trading, then I won't convert it immediately. I will have to create an order for it with the exact selling price that I want. That's what trading is basically, making orders both buy and sell according to your analysis.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SBF released, Will Solana ($SOL) come back? on: January 11, 2023, 12:17:03 PM
Solana has recovered big time in the past week. It grew by 20%, but this is not the comeback that many might be expecting. This is not a sign that Solana has recovered from the damage connected with SBF. The growth of Solana is related to the recovery of Bitcoin and many altcoins.

I doubt Solana will be back at the top 10.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 09, 2022, 11:55:47 AM
Many MMA fighters are already catching their breath upon reaching the third and final 3-minute round. You can't survive boxing with that fighting condition.
Yeah, many of them will underestimate the amount of rounds in boxing, plus the pacing is all different. I don't think Silva will find that a problem though, he's already been the distance with a decent fighter. So, he should know how to pace himself. In fact, you could argue that Jake hasn't had the experience on a fight night going the distance yet, and how's that going to effect him?

Although, Jake will probably be fine, I'm sure he's done the rounds in sparring. I'd probably put money on Jake to stop Silva since the value is there, and I know that Silva lives on the edge in terms of defense. I won't be since I'm away, but for anyone putting a bet on it might be worth considering.

I'm honestly surprised why Anderson is still the favorite in this fight when he's the much older man. Jake Paul is at the top of his physical condition and has been very busy with boxing lately with a total of 3 fights last year alone. Betting on Jake Paul is indeed worth my money if only I don't want Silva to win. But because I want Silva to win this match, I'd rather just watch this fight. I wouldn't place a bet on him either. He's probably gonna lose.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 09, 2022, 11:30:04 AM
It's not a smooth transition most of the time, though. They're already old and it's really hard to make a transition when you've been trained and were fighting differently all your life. They're both combat sports but they're different disciplines. MMA strikers aren't boxers.
Smooth transition as in they've already got the skills, they just need to change their style a little bit. However, most MMA guys go onto fighting bigger names, and of course a elite boxer is going to have an advantage in the discipline they've trained for all their life, compared to someone who has learned multiple disciplines at once. I'd say if they picked smaller names, they'd have a lot more success.

Some MMA strikers are boxers. They come from boxing to MMA. That's quite clear in certain fighters. It's much easier to go from MMA to boxing, than it's the other way around. I think that's something most of us can agree on.

Like I said, Jake probably does it, and he might even knock Silva out since Silva isn't the best defensively. However, I think the key here is Jake hasn't really been threatened in his previous fights since they never really let go. Silva is going to let go, and put volume out there. So, we'll actually see Jake defending for once.

I agree. If these MMA fighters are moving into boxing, they should start from the bottom of the ladder.

What I mean is that if you're a striker in the MMA, it doesn't automatically make you a boxer. Although I agree that it's easier to shift from MMA to boxing than the other way around, it doesn't mean it's actually easy. Many MMA fighters are already catching their breath upon reaching the third and final 3-minute round. You can't survive boxing with that fighting condition.

Silva's volume may now be soft and in slow-mo. So Jake could still be confident that Silva is not anymore the dangerous spider the moment they'll face each other inside the ring.

And what's up with these retirees entering another sport as professionals? They debut in their old age.

Jake is protecting his record while fighting against big old names to gain a big audience. Jake knows his business well.
Money. It's quite well known that the UFC doesn't pay very well. Other promotions do pay more I believe, but they just aren't as well recognised as the UFC. So, fighters tend to make their money in boxing before retirement. Plus, the sports are somewhat linked being combat sports, so it's a gentle transition to boxing most of the time. Especially, if they were primarily a striker in MMA.

Like don't get me wrong, I think Jake wins here especially since I know Anderson's style he definitely leaves openings which I think Jake is quick enough, and agile enough to take advantage of. However, I don't think it's an easy fight like everyone is saying it is.

Indeed. That's an open issue with the UFC. They don't share much with their fighters, even the biggest stars that they have. I don't understand why they have to be stingy with the very fighters that provide them revenue.

It's not a smooth transition most of the time, though. They're already old and it's really hard to make a transition when you've been trained and were fighting differently all your life. They're both combat sports but they're different disciplines. MMA strikers aren't boxers.

Jake will probably win here. Anderson was way quicker than Jake but that was a long time ago, not now.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 09, 2022, 10:25:12 AM
This is boxing, not a fight where Silva won a championship. Anderson Silva is already 47 years old, I don't think he can keep up with  Jake Paul who are still young and active as a boxer, if this is UFC, then I might bet on Anderson, but hey, it's boxing.

Maybe Jake Paul is trying to keep his undefeated record and will never fight a boxer that could potentially give his record a 1L.

Although Anderson knows how to box, he is not really a boxer. I saw him box and he is really awkward. It's crystal clear in his movements that boxing is not his domain. And with his age, I won't be surprised if Jake Paul would even knock him down or out.

And what's up with these retirees entering another sport as professionals? They debut in their old age.

Jake is protecting his record while fighting against big old names to gain a big audience. Jake knows his business well.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP AND THE TRIAL OF TIME on: February 25, 2021, 01:54:23 AM
I was also one of the people who are expecting XRP to continuously fall down because of the lawsuit Ripple is facing against the SEC. But I am surprised that XRP is still performing well overall even with its hard legal battle. I think XRP is still highly in demand in other parts of the world outside the United States. But I am still thinking twice of buying XRP. There is still high risk with the coin for as long as the case is still ongoing.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 worth staking? on: February 25, 2021, 01:33:28 AM
I know its great to make passive income but what are the real flaws to it? I hear both saying its good and bad?
Thoughts?,...Thank you

I consider it generally good. But don't think that staking is for short term profit. If you are looking for a quick profit or a short term gain, staking might not be the one for you. Staking Ethereum is the best among all other staking opportunities. Ethereum is the most trusted altcoin after all. But like I said, stake Ethereum if you are looking for a stable source of passive income in the long term. It won't fail you.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Elon Musk invest in Cardano? on: February 24, 2021, 03:52:59 AM
Probably not true. And don't trust rumors. You might have read tweets from scammers trying to spread a pump and dump movements. Don't trust them. This might only trap your funds. These days a lot of people are using names which are popular in crypto like Elon Musk, Vitalik Buterin, CZ, etc to spread fake tweets.

Why don't you head on to Elon Musk's twitter account itself and look for this rumored tweet?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB reached $200 on: February 24, 2021, 03:24:05 AM
But once the Ethereum development will put an end to the high fees, I think the Binance network will become less popular.
I don't think so and why? When people feel confidence with it and they will stay on such platform. This is happening with ethereum in the past and so many people already felt confidence with ethereum but so many copycat platforms being introduced in the market and that doesn't give a lot of impact to make those people to change their mind migrate to the new platform.
It's very difficult thing to attract them back again dude.

Binance is much better than other shitcoins. That's obvious. Binance has a long track record on its own. The Binance chain didn't come from an unknown project. It is already made popular right from the start because it has the name Binance in it. But I'm sure that one of the reasons why it is made more popular today is that Ethereum has a failure in fees. The fees are very high. Everybody knows and agrees to that. Here comes an alternative chain not from unknown developers and shady projects which have zero reputation but Binance. That made people easily decide on trusting the Binance chain.
