61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Sig Campaign] JACS.TECH Signature Campaign | Jr.Members+ 3 Weeks ~1M Tokens on: November 29, 2020, 03:14:55 PM
Can we remove signature code?

Yes!

Thsnk you all for these 3 weeks, it's been my pleasure to work with you Smiley

Is there another round?

I wish there will be. We'll just wait for the decision of the project's team whether they still need the same promotion here on bitcointalk. Either way, I am more than sure that the team will stick to Hhampuz as the campaign manager. The management was impeccable, spreadsheet properly attended to and updated regularly and on time, stakes computed in no time at all, etc.

'Twas a great experience working with you, CM!
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum dropped 15% in only 1 hour on: November 27, 2020, 12:55:26 PM
Ethereum got hit by a massive flash crash today, dropping almost 15% in an hour. We caught the dump during the live stream and analyze the reasons leading to the dump.
Bitcoin has too much influence in the crypto market. hence in one day, Bitcoin fell to $3,000. Investors are psychological and sell BTC to cut loss and ETH also affects and falls. You keep looking on coinmarketcap when Bitcoin increases, the green Altcoins.

Investors are not selling to cut loss. Why would they sell to cut loss when the price was already approaching a new ATH? Investors are selling because they have already made a profit. That's the reason why.

And this correction right now is not just unique to Bitcoin or to Ethereum. Other coins which were also among the ones which gained much in the recent rally are also in serious dip right now. But it seems the selling hours are already done and the buying hours are already beginning.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum dropped 15% in only 1 hour on: November 26, 2020, 12:54:41 PM
It seems the correction has already happened. And it almost equals the growth that was achieved in the past few days. That was just a matter of hours before the increase was totally wiped out.

But no worries. That was somehow expected anyway. That's always the case when there is a pump. People will seal their profit by selling their crypto holdings including Ethereum. Everything's pretty normal. In just a matter of hours also we will be seeing the price of Ethereum and other altcoins get back to having green candles. After the selling is done, the buying resumes. This is still a bullish season overall.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Eth2 substantially increase Ether's price? on: November 25, 2020, 02:20:25 PM
No doubt, Ethereum 2.0 will contribute a lot to the increase of Ethereum's price. Even before the launching a lot of Ethereum supporters were already excited about the final date of the launch. And now that the launch has finally taken place, the price is also increasing along with the trust people give to Ethereum.

I even think that if only there was no bull run that takes place at the same time while Ethereum 2.0 is launched, the price of Ethereum would have soared to more than $1,000 already or has already created an ATH. It so happened that Bitcoin is in direct competition of the hype of Ethereum 2.0.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the long awaited bull run? on: November 25, 2020, 01:39:48 PM
You don't have to ask whether this is the long awaited bull run or not. It is beside the point. This may or may not be the long awaited bull run. I don't care. What I care about is that this is a bull run and this is not just a weak bull run which gives us a hundred or two of USD in increase in a week's or month's time. This is a very strong bull run which gives us a thousand more USD in price increase in just a matter of less than 24 hours. This is the main point.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: November 25, 2020, 01:08:52 PM
That's not fair. The name bounty hunter is actually a misnomer here. What are called bounty hunters in this forum are actually freelance workers. They are workers and not purely hunters. They may be called bounty hunters in so far as the possibility of their payment tokens becoming worthy or worthless someday but they cannot be called bounty hunters as far as their actual job is concerned.

They are asked to do some tasks in exchange for token payments. That alone means you will have to get paid after the job is done. That is a contract. Whether the token will die or succeed someday does not matter and it is where bounty hunting refers to. But it cannot be just accepted that they will either get paid or not in the end. That is not fair. They are working according to their job descriptions with the promise of getting paid in the end.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin shoots past $19,000 as new ATH awaits on: November 24, 2020, 02:34:15 PM
No more correction until the price is reaching $20,000. That is the hardest resistance probably. For sure a lot are selling at that price believing that a 2017-like scenario is going to take place this time. But I think they will be very wrong on that one if they do that. This is not 2017. This is 2020 and the Bitcoin investors in 2020 are not a lot of individuals who are doing the thing as if it is a geek thing. Now, buying Bitcoin is one cool thing done not by technologically-advanced and savvy people but by very wealthy investors.
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a good time to get in or not on: November 23, 2020, 01:41:39 PM
If you are planning to get in so that you will make money in a short term duration, this is not the perfect time for you. But if you are planning to get in for a long term investment plan, you may do that. Just be aware that the risk for a correction is much higher right now.

But, to be honest, I think the rally has not yet ended. We have yet to see new price record highs of Bitcoin and leading altcoins such as ETH and LTC. That will take place before the stronger correction.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) Breaking out on: November 23, 2020, 01:08:15 PM
And now XRP is already beyond 50 cents. I was thinking XRP reaching $0.40 is already a very strong pump and an upcoming correction would ensue. I didn't make the right guess this time. I was waiting for a correction to get in. I wasn't able to buy back as I already sold my XRP earlier. At this point, I don't think it is wise to buy.

Take profit is a nice option for me. XRP has already almost doubled in price for the past week at least. There is no reason to be very greedy. Take profit and perhaps leave an amount for possible additional pump.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: November 22, 2020, 08:46:49 AM
The current crypto market is exciting as everyone is happy that new funds are being pumped into the space, investors are making profits and people are aiming for new ATH for bigger profits. I  remind us all not to forget to take profits, cut your greed and find new opportunities. Never be emotional about any project, buy when it's right, sell when it's right.

Sometimes we are a failure in controlling our emotions. This is like a hard challenge for everyone. When the price is at the bottom our plan is just to get in and wait for the price to rise a little and realize a moderate profit. But when the price is already at the very point where we should already be selling, that's the time we suddenly decide that we want more and then we forget the target selling price and wait for more pump. Sometimes we end up caught by a correction or the dump that we ended up waiting for another pump in order to make a little profit.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $10,170,000,000 was transferred over the Ethereum network in Q2 on: November 22, 2020, 08:24:22 AM
Ethereum is the most used network. There are a number of DApps and DeFi projects which are built on Ethereum. Ethereum is also the number one choice among a big number of cryptocurrency projects. That is why it makes me laugh when people are forcing to compare the likes of Binance, Tron, EOS, etc with Ethereum. They are too far from reaching what Ethereum has already reached. Numbers don't lie.

$500 within the year for Ethereum is very small. Make it $1,000.
It looks like ETH price to $ 500 has a lot of resistance, I am holding a lot of ETH and I will not sell it for below 500 $. Hopefully the launch of ETH 2.0 will overcome the weaknesses faced by the previous generation and lower gas costs.

ETH 2.0 will push up the price of Ethereum beyond $500. If your selling price is $500, I think that is too low. At least don't sell your ETH if its not yet getting back to its ATH. It is impossible that the recorded ATH of ETH will remain the same after several years. There will always come a time when it is replaced with a new ATH. That is what I am waiting and I think it will not take even half a year before that happens.
In any case, it is too early to talk about Ethereum sales today. The whole process is still in its infancy and Ethereum has not yet collected the required number of validators to launch the update. There are some forecasts that if the required amount of Ethereum is not collected by the appointed time, then Vitalik Buterin himself or his team can add this amount.

That is correct. The collected amount for the development to really start has yet to reach the minimum but it is nothing to worry about because it has just yet started. However, we can almost be a hundred percent certain that the plan will be implemented. After all we are not talking here of a shitcoin or any low level altcoin. This is Ethereum we are talking about.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't repeat same mistakes on: November 21, 2020, 01:11:16 PM
But don't forget to be long-sighted. Don't be near-sighted. It is not greedy to hodl beyond ATH. There is reason to. Bitcoin is not just the here and the now. It is the future. Hodling for a longer term is normal if you are a true believer of Bitcoin. If you are only someone who is not a believer but just riding on the price increase then you may decide to sell when the next $20,000 per Bitcoin arrives. But if you are leaving at $20,000 then surely you don't deserve Bitcoin at $30,000, $50,000, or even $100,000.

75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may test a support soon at $14K to $13K before reaching to $20K on: November 19, 2020, 12:03:27 PM
Currently BTC is close to the $ 20k ATH price, but I think FOMO is still very low, much lower than December 2017, so maybe BTC will break ATH in the next few days. Because BTC currently has only one resistance level of $ 20k ahead.

On the contrary, I think FOMO is very high these days, much higher than it was in 2017. We were just $2,000 short of reaching $20,000 just a day or two ago. During these same days back in 2017, the price of Bitcoin was even lower than $10,000, just around $7,000 plus. So that means we are earlier now. FOMO is felt really strong. We could enter $20,000 before December this year.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may test a support soon at $14K to $13K before reaching to $20K on: November 18, 2020, 01:39:42 PM
It is more unlikely than likely that Bitcoin would fall back to $14k or $13k before trying to reach $20k. It has already gone past $18k just in the past hours. $1k growth was very smooth and easy. This kind of growth will probably give us $20k very easily.

This is very much unlike in 2017. This is way faster now. I think 2017 was kind of oversold to small retail investors due to hype and FOMO. This now is involving institutional investors. This is a larger bull run than in 2017.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins I have in my wallets on: November 18, 2020, 01:01:54 PM
You seem to have too many altcoins in your wallet. Having altcoins is good because diversification is always good but it seems this many is already very hard to properly manage. They are more than twenty. How could you properly monitor all of them considering that you need to constantly monitor news about them, their development, their new product updates and releases, partnerships, price changes, etc? And I also notice some which look like shitcoins.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I could consider staking if .... on: November 17, 2020, 01:18:53 PM
It is hard to look for a decent coin which offers this, if that exists at all. It is either you will send them to a staking wallet or not stake at all. You sound like you want to earn but doesn't want to face the risk. It is hard to detach one from the other. The leading coins for staking such as Tezos (XTZ), Cosmos (ATOM), Icon (ICX), and lately Ethereum (ETH) are not offering staking in your own wallet.

You make research first on how the staking of these top coins are doing and then decide for yourself. But if you are really afraid to send coins to another wallet, you better just shift to pure hodling.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think crypto stand a chance agaisnt the financial system on: November 17, 2020, 12:41:49 PM
There are already a lot of regulations in place as of this moment. That signifies one thing, that crypto has a place under the sun and the power in society has noticed it. But the point is that the governments are putting up limited regulations because they have yet to really understand how things with crypto work. They are yet to become sufficiently familiar with it. In fact the misplaced regulations right now are reflections that they have not understood the design yet.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will central banks create their own digital currencies? on: November 16, 2020, 01:57:56 PM
They will eventually. They cannot continue to stick with an obsolete fiat in the face of a highly technological world. They will be left behind. The future of money is digital currencies and if they decide to continue with the status quo they might be easier to be replaced with cryptocurrency. But now that they are more aware of the potential of cryptocurrency, they have already opened up to the idea of issuing their very own digital cryptocurrency. They are now trying to accept the fact that crypto is growing and they badly need a competition.
