805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Crying about Crypto! on: May 23, 2018, 06:24:02 AM
What is the famous saying....."If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen."

There are so many people crying about the recent of BTC that I'm frankly getting annoyed. You should know the risk involved in investing in crypto. If not, don't even waste your money. Go buy a CD that won't make more than the rate of inflation. Remember investing is literally legalized gambling. Treat it as such or don't even jump in the pool.

That is right. I guess the reason why people end up as whining dogs in cryptocurrency is that they jumped right into the pool head on without knowing what they are jumping into. I am sure many of them joined cryptocurrency because they think there is a very easy money waiting for them there, only to find out that there is in fact a hard road going to what they heard was an easy money.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody steal your btc? on: May 23, 2018, 05:23:39 AM
Hi, have you ever thought this?

You know that, to import a wallet you need the private key or your seed. Taking as example the private key (the 52 letters key). It could exist the possibility someone create a software whose function was to try thousands of times to find the private key till it is be done. This would be like the process to find the new block in mining, anyway you can try the times you want in order to find it.

I think this could be a weakness, correct me if I am wrong. Smiley

Or comment if you have a kind of solution for this...

Regards!

Somebody can steal your Bitcoin from your wallet but not through the process that you are saying. The process that you are raising may be theoretically possible but not in reality. There are expert hackers around the world that are so good in their jobs that they can almost get access to anything, even personal computers inside the CIA. The issue of hacking is considered one of the biggest problem with digital currenies.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail? on: May 23, 2018, 04:38:16 AM
After spending much time as a guest on this forum learning all I can about Bitcoin, I finally decided to join. Glad to be here and thanks for all the great advice along the way!

Now I have a question I'd like to ask. Is Bitcoin going to get to the point where it is too big to fail? The government bailed out Wall Street to avoid a financial collapse. Can Bitcoin gain the same status as Wall Street? The market cap is steadily increasing making it a big player in the game and I'm looking forward to where it is headed.

Thanks in advance!

No, do not expect the governments to offer a bail out to Bitcoin if in case it will go down crashing. There is no single government that might extend even a little help to Bitcoin if that tragedy is going to happen. Bitcoin is independent from the governments. While there are governments that are supporting the use of Bitcoin, it is for their own sake and not for Bitcoin's. They are just allowing themselves to follow the current fintech trend.

809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: May 22, 2018, 06:37:18 AM
Don't you think price blast not correlate with its real life usage since its inception?

Its hoarded for speculative purpose but how many major cities in the world have even its ATM?

I mean we all the time correlate its value with fiat currency then buy/take then what's its purpose in my day to day life?

Who will accept it in store when confirmation time is so long.

As of now, the growth of the price of Bitcoin does not correlate much on real life usage as to its very high and ever-growing worldwide demand. The demand of Bitcoin is also not fully grounded on some real life uses. There is a very fast growth of Bitcoin's demand internationally but it is primarily due to the fact that the price of Bitcoin has been growing big ever since its inception around 10 years ago. Everybody is expecting a much bigger price.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019 on: May 19, 2018, 10:52:10 AM
Not possible at all. As a matter of fact, NEO has already fallen outside the top 10 circle in cryptocurrency. Other coins have already surpassed NEO. It has to go inside the top 10 first before it will even think of getting into the number 1 spot. And you are setting it in the year 2019? It makes your prediction ever more impossible. That will simply not happen. NEO cannot even surpass Ethereum.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: May 19, 2018, 02:06:48 AM
Those are nice articles, but please, stop posting those links in here because it is pretty obvious that you want to increase the traffic of your site.

Or at least, quote what is in there and post it in here to avoid the spam.

Nice interfering there mate, youre right about this providing traffic for that site which obviously hes using crypto users to have  look in their site, this kind of people should be sanctioned for abusing the goodness of the forum he can make statements regarding topic but he just let us all click ng link for obvious reasons

Agreed. Everything is clickbait when a link is given. Even if the link is legit or not it is still given for the sake of traffic and that is not fair. We are not forced to click on it but since it is there already we are 100 percent sure that there will be someone who will do it nonetheless. What if it leads to a scam site that is intrusive? If the article is really insightful or relevant then why don't you pick the salient points and post them here and provide the sources?
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everybody knows about Bitcoin. We won’t see 20k again. Why? Here! on: May 19, 2018, 01:22:32 AM
Everybody knows about Bitcoin.
Why would X and Y but bitcoin at such high prices ? ($8000-1000) while BTC started from few cents.
Why would wall street join BTC ?
We wont see 20k lvl again. 10k is history.

If by posting here you want people to read and then give their ideas and opinions on your analysis, then I will give mine. Oh well, it is already in your bitcointalk username. LOL.  Grin

10K is history? Then you believe that it will not get back to that price anymore? If you are very much convinced of your analysis then why don't we try to have a bet on it? PM me if you are interested. We can have an escrow to be safe. Bitcoin is going to break $20,000 before December.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO of May on: May 19, 2018, 12:26:31 AM
How do you think what ICO will be best in MAY. Or maybe 1-2. And why, maybe we will find some hidden treasures.

Try to look at the project details of Deal Coin. The project has been reviewed and rated high by a lot of expert ICO reviewers around the world. You may compare their assessments and decide for yourself whether it is wise to invest in it or not. The peer to peer lending industry will truly be disrupted with the solutions presented by Deal Coin. You can drop by their website and read their well-presented whitepaper. The project has already raised more than $17,000,000.

815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 07:31:54 AM
Not because of discrimination but do homeless people have their internets? Remember crypto needs internet to operate. It might be a modus operandi or a fake picture to gather Bitcoins to merciful people in the internet. I dont just believe. How about a video proof that the guy is a real homeless.

Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?

Perhaps you are stuck with the kind of country you belong. I am not also discriminating you but I guess in some other more advanced countries, the internet is free. I mean there are so many public connections in which anyone, even the homeless people, can connect. Apparently, the man on the picture is not one that belongs to an underdeveloped country. Even in my country, I cannot see a beggar of some sort reading a book or displaying a placard with a message written in English.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS. GOLD on: May 18, 2018, 06:47:05 AM
Bitcoin and Gold are two precious assets for now, if we consider Bitcoin as an asset also. Of course, primarily, Bitcoin is not an asset. It is a currency and that we still want to stabilize sooner so that it will become more useful as a currency, its main purpose. In terms of growth in price, gold is no match to Bitcoin. But in terms of security and safety in your asset, Bitcoin cannot also equal to gold.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: May 17, 2018, 05:10:19 AM
I actually stumbled upon Bitcoin several years ago. I was not interested because it was only known to be a new technology offering something that is said to be revolutionary of some sort. It was not the first time I heard about the word revolutionary in technological developments. So I treated it as another normal innovation that is not really special at all. But when I heard it again, it was already because of its unbelievable rise of value. That was the time I took a more serious research as I really wanted to take part in it.
818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or not? on: May 17, 2018, 04:21:20 AM
If I lost most of my capital in one coin, I will hold the first to coin it up again, whether it can be called trading or not?
Give your opinion Smiley

I don't understand you. I only understood the last few words. Anyway, since you mentioned trading, I think trading can be defined as buying and selling. That is enough for a basic definition. So if you buy cryptocurrencies and you sell them and buy again and then sell again, generally, you are already involved in crypto trading. There are also different ways to trade in crypto. If you hodl, then you are not involved in trading at all.
819  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippines to develop rules on cryptocurrency trading? on: May 16, 2018, 06:20:21 AM

To allow crypto does not mean to support it. They need to take crypto in an objective way because a lot of people here are already into crypto.

They have to prove themselves honest before they are considered such.
