321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: October 02, 2017, 04:25:42 AM
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
I don't think so. Even litecoin can't beat ethereum as the best altcoin. Another thing is that WAVES is still too young and it is too early to say that. There are a lot of altcoins out there which have better foundation than WAVES. I don't say WAVES has no future, but I think, it just don't have enough assets to beat ethereum. Still, ethereum is way better than waves.

323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: October 01, 2017, 09:28:36 AM
As the age of cryptocurrency comes into full force, it will facilitate a subversively viable taxation avoidance strategy for many of the technically savvy users of peer-to-peer payment systems. In doing so, cryptocurrency use will act to erode the tax revenue base of national jurisdictions, and ultimately, reposition taxation as a voluntary, pay-for-performance function. In this post, I cover some of the benefits such a strategy will have for cryptocurrency investors, why our notion of taxation is ripe for disruption, and why cryptocurrency taxation is enabled by default.

Well, I don't think, that will be the case all the times. Actually, there are only few people in every country who use bitcoin. Another thing, it doesn't give a great impact in terms of taxation. There are only few establishments and business that accept bitcoin, and that doesn't share a huge part for the income tax. In my opinion, that shouldn't be a big deal for the government unless ALL people uses bitcoin in their daily transactions. And the worst thing that might happen is that when the government will start banning the use of bitcoin IF PEOPLE WILL NOT PAY TAX FROM USING IT.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash is the future IMO on: October 01, 2017, 06:52:11 AM
We view that the BTC blockchain slowing down radically as mass approval carries on, finance institutions won't accept that slow block-chain once they are able to utilize the BCH block-chain that's substantially faster. I am very long in BCH.
I don't just think, so. I can not agree with you, especially that BCH was not even here for long since it was a new altcoin. And I don't really think that people will shift to BCH for as long as BTC, ETH, and LTC are there. I would still prefer ETH and LTC over BCH, especially that another rumored forking to BTC will be made, resulting to the creation of BITCOIN GOLD. I think, the creation of BITCOIN GOLD later will significantly affect the BCH instead of the BTC.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite altcoins for this year? on: October 01, 2017, 04:54:30 AM
Your favorite altcoins to hold for 2017 and why?
Bitcoin is my favorite CRYPTOCURRENCY, but I would like to make it clear, BITCOIN is not an altcoin. Answering your question, I'll say LITECOIN. Litecoin is the third best cryptocurrency and second best altcoin (next to ethereum), but I've chose litecoin over ethereum because of one thing that made it one of the top altcoins: FAST TRANSACTION SPEED. Litecoin has been very convenient, as per my experience, when it comes on the speed of my transactions with litecoin. Not only that, but it also offer low transaction fee that made me amazed by it. I have already tried sending litecoins from my one wallet with 0.001 LTC transaction fee, and it didn't took so long to arrive at my other wallet (about 3-5 minutes only, I think, before it arrive). That's way faster than bitcoin and ethereum.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: October 01, 2017, 04:01:57 AM
Weeks ago, I am discussing Bitcoin to my sister and my future brother-in-law (then) When they got married recently, both of them were unemployed and have been trying to get a job immediately after their marriage. Up until now they have no luck. My sister then decided to talk to me about how do I earn Bitcoins. I gladly explained it to her and then she decided to do it too. She was so happy that she is already earning bitcoin and had some extra budget while they are both unemployed. And now, she is so eager to learn more how to earn more coins.

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins. Maybe some people are like this. They grab Bitcoin when they are in need of money. And since that these people are now engaged in Bitcoin, I am sure that they will stay in Bitcoin and treat it as an investment even though they will have a decent paying jobs in the future.
Well, there's nothing wrong with it. We should even be thankful that bitcoin has given this opportunity to us, especially to those who haven't found their permanent job yet. It is also a great thing to teach them (the unemployed) how to earn from bitcoin. But then, they shouldn't take this as a full-time job because it is still better to use your skills and knowledge that you've learned in school by applying for a permanent work. It would be great if he'll make bitcoin as secondary/back-up source of income which, I think, is a great help for the minor daily expenses.
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: How MUCH will the FINAL BTC be WORTH? on: September 30, 2017, 11:54:05 AM
Asked before I'm sure.

What ya think?
Just like our local money, bitcoin doesn't have a definite value for anytime. It will always change from time to time. There's no such thing as FINAL PRICE for bitcoin.Once all the 21 million bitcoins were already mined, there will always be a change in its value depending on its demand, the supply (I mean, the people who sell available their bitcoins), and other factors e.g. big companies holding numbers of bitcoins, countries accepting it, etc.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had $50,000 to invest into mining, or coins... on: September 30, 2017, 08:32:53 AM
If you had $50,000 to invest into mining, or coins...

Would you GPU Mine, or buy Asics?
What percentage would you put into altcoins?

I'm curious to see how others would spread their money.

For me, I would probably start with half GPU mining, half Asics.  I'm new though so I'm not sure what is best if I had that type of money.
It will be wiser if you put it all in altcoins. Why? Let's look in the future...

If ever you use your money in mining, there are a lot of additional expenses you need to cover: your bill for current, your locale where you will put up your mining business, and the status of the coins you are going to mine. In the near future, all bitcoins will be mined. Then what will you do after?

On the other hand, if you put your money on altcoins through trading, then it will be better. It is you who controls your fate. You can decide if how many percent of your money are you going to put in each altcoins. I also recommend you to divide your money to different altcoins so that you can have a chance to return your capital if ever the price other altcoins will fall.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: September 30, 2017, 07:49:28 AM
BITCOIN vs ETH ? your thoughts ?
Bitcoin and ethereum have their own unique features that separates them from one another. Bitcoin, dubbed as the father of all cryptocurrency, is no doubt the most popular and most valuable cryptocurrency. This might be because it was the first cryptocurrency to be created. Likw what most people say, first love never dies. Smiley

On the other hand, ethereum is the best altcoin (take note, I used the word ALTCOIN instead of CRYPTOCURRENCY). Well, this altcoin was one of the best thing to invest to when it comes to altcoin investment. Other than its high value (actually, it is the 2nd most valuable crypto and the most valuable altcoin), it is also known for its high demand, which gives way to big companies to create different tokens through ethereum contract.

331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: September 29, 2017, 06:19:54 AM
Another hard fork seems to come soon. The new bitcoin will be named "Bitcoin Gold". How would you think about this?

Bitcoin Gold will be successful as like Bitcoin Cash?

Bitcoin price will go higher before and after the new hard fork?

https://www.coindesk.com/first-cash-now-gold-another-bitcoin-hard-fork-way/

Before the bitcoin cash was forked from bitcoin, the value of bitcoin didn't really suffer. Well, I don't think forking bitcoin gold from bitcoin won't make bitcoin value suffer, either. I even expect the bitcoin price to rise up before and after the forking, just like what happened when the bitcoin cash was forked from bitcoin.

One more thing: I think, it is not what will happen between bitcoin and bitcoin gold which should be talked about, but it should be what will happen between bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash. Once bitcoin gold will be forked from bitcoin, the tendency is that people will leave bitcoin cash and transfer their money to bitcoin gold (I also think that bitcoin gold will be more valuable than bitcoin cash in the coming years).
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Сan the volume of coins be increased? on: September 29, 2017, 01:07:57 AM
I heard that many people lose their coins and the current volume of BTC is not current at all)
How do you think will Satoshi add some in future?
There will only be a total of 21 million bitcoins available in the market (that is, once all bitcoins will be mined). Currently, there are already around 16 million bitcoins mined by btc miners (that is around 76% of the total number of bitcoins). Once all bitcoins were already mined, there are 2 scenarios that might happen on btc price: it will either rise up (if people will keep them or maintain the circulation of it in the market/trading sites) or will fall down (if people will sell all their bitcoins).

Putting that into perspective, increasing the total number of bitcoins (from 21M to more than that) will greatly affect the future of bitcoin and might make the people lose their interest on bitcoin.
333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again crossed $4200, so this time can we see all time high?? on: September 28, 2017, 07:19:58 AM
Bitcoin finally crossed $4000 mark and now trading around $4200, so this time can we see all time high in bitcoin?? and what could be the resistance zone for bitcoin this time??
I don't think so. I can see it maintain its value between $4,000 to $4,500 by the end of this year. It's still hard for me to see it reaching the $5,000 mark and maintaining that value in this year considering the issue on China and the number of bitcoins still available for mining. However, I believe that bitcoin will reach it's all time high in the next coming years.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and september 30th on: September 28, 2017, 05:05:26 AM
What will the China ban/FUD do to bitcoin in the next coming days till the 30th. Are you guys holding or Trading to fiat? What are you’re thoughts on this..
As of now, bitcoin price is back to $4200. So there's no reason to panic. I think, these rumors about Chine banning ICOs doesn't really have to affect bitcoin significantly. Price of bitcoin depends on its movement in the market. WE are the one who are controlling the price of bitcoin. At this point, there are only few people who are selling bitcoin that's why the price is rising up again. Once you sell your bitcoins and outnumbered those who are buying, that's the time btc price will fall. So don't let these China rumors condition your mind. Hold on your coins.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a great way to teach math in schools on: September 28, 2017, 03:45:14 AM
It would be interesting to see who the first teachers are to do this and if the media picks them up.  I know small media outlets would as they pretty much cover anything.

POS Wallets could teach a lot about basic math even to elementary school kids.  PiggyCoin in fact seems geared in that direction, it's like a Piggybank.

Well, that's a good idea. I would even do that in my class later (I'm a Mathematics teacher, anyways). Actually, Mathematics is a very interesting subject, and integrating it with cryptocurrency will be a great way to make it more interesting. Cryptocurrency will fit best in topics like Algebra, Probability, and Statistics where students could learn how to predict the price of a crypto with the given data.  We can also use that in other subjects like Economics.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Authorship (ATS) token is a scam on: September 28, 2017, 12:28:04 AM
It's just make me sad when people call an ICO as SCAM where in fact, they didn't even invested/bought any coins. Guys, you are receiving free coins, and the ATS team are doing their best to send all your coins. Also, consider their part since it is a new project, and they are just aware of people WHO ARE CHEATING during the bounty period. Be patient. To those who didn't received their tokens, better luck next time. There are actually instances that 2 internet connections from different countries/location have the same IP, especially to those who are using VPN. So don't be mad.
337  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is the presence of Bitcoin able to wipe out cash? on: September 27, 2017, 11:57:09 AM
As it is famous today. that Bitcoin is the solution to the weakness of cash. Many people are switching from cash and using Bitcoin.
If this continues to happen then the cash will be destroyed.
what do you think about it?
will Bitcoin be replacing cash?
what if the cash impact is no longer used?
A big NO. I don't see bitcoin wiping out cash. Instead, bitcoin will be used together with cash in the future (and even today). The main function of bitcoin for people using it is like that of a credit card or bank account. People can keep their savings in their bitcoin wallet and could use them in the future when needed. There's no need to go to banks to deposit or withdraw since people can already deposit their money through remittance centers going to their bitcoin wallet.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: September 27, 2017, 08:25:14 AM
Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!
If I am to rate ethereum from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest), I would give 8. Ethereum is a good altcoin. Actually, it is the second best cryptocurrency (just next to bitcoin). Ethereum has the highest value among altcoins (take note: bitcoin is not an altcoin) and still tracking an positively inclined graph in its price chart. The only downside of ethereum for me is its usability. I always find it hard to manage ethereum with wallets. It might just that I was more familiar with  bitcoin than ethereum, but still, ethereum is a good altcoin.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum just got personal for me. on: September 27, 2017, 05:53:14 AM
So last night I was at a party this rich douche walks in and says, and after few drinks down, the topic of crypto currencies came up, and I said Bitcoin is the best currency, and this guy was like no eth is, and I told him to his face eth is shit, who trades in eth over Bitcoins. Then he's like Bitcoin is not good and how he brought eth and made a profit, despite me telling him that eth is a centralized coin, and it's alt, and that most ico are ether based and most of the ico have turned scams, he just wouldn't budge, it got so heated up, littlerly would have punched him, so I need more view's to put forward to. Any ideas on this?
That seems went to be weird but funny, tho Grin (someone quarrelled because of this topic, huh?). Well, for me, bitcoin is way far better than ethereum in a lot of aspects. Search in google "cryptocurrencies ranking" and you'll see bitcoin at 1 and ethereum at 2. Another is taking a look at the value of these two, bitcoin is more valuable than ethereum (I mean, bitcoin price is higher than ethereum, although both of these are valuable). Next is its usability. More people are inclined with bitcoin than ethereum, and bitcoin is more popular that's why there are more bitcoin wallets out there. We can't deny that bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrencies.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon May Accept Bitcoin By October. Do you believe? on: September 27, 2017, 04:44:21 AM
There are news about accepting bitcoin as a payment at Amazon. Here is the link to cointelegraph article. If this would be true we will get huge pump of the whole cryptocurrency market at October/November. What do you think about it? Just one more rumor?
I think, that would be a great idea, considering that not all people have bank accounts/cards (actually, only few people are owning such). Bitcoin is easier to use and can be access by anyone as long as you have valid ID. Another thing is that, bitcoin is tax free (you don't need to pay any tax when sending bitcoin from wallet to wallet).
