1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Breaking News: China Central Bank Officially Warns against Bitcoin on: December 05, 2013, 10:51:31 AM
From what I have read, this is not really a ban, however all bitcoin handling businesses in China, e.g. btcchina, must register with some authority in China, which I forgot its name, otherwise they will be forcibly removed from operation.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitCoin to Correct? Your Comments on: November 12, 2013, 11:24:19 AM
Chinese people need money in the coming Spring Festival, arguably the most important holidays in China, I believe most of them will start cashing out in December.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why can't mtgox just mail checks to US customers? on: November 11, 2013, 08:26:22 PM
They replied to my very same suggestion a few months ago - "sending checks is not within our policies"
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bears thread - unleash the bear in you in this thread on: November 11, 2013, 03:05:21 PM
A bad news hitting CCTV would cause all the Chinese holders to panic sell, i assure you. You would be surprised how the price would drop by 90% in a single day, but before that happens, we still have a chance of testing 400 or even 500.

8  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bitfunder]&[WeExchange] WARNING! The Fall of Ukyo! on: November 07, 2013, 01:10:45 PM
Ukyo, why don't take and put inputs.io wallet into place or buy/license the wallet for your site?
lol?
Do you know inputs.io was hacked today?
9  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 07, 2013, 04:52:25 AM
Someone at MtGox just sold $1 million worth of BTC at 266.90. Probably a coincidence but that's one place to inquire.
Don't think anyone as smart as the hacker would use MtGox.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: 20 articles on 'Bitcoin is broken', researchers warn' doesn;t move price? why? on: November 07, 2013, 04:32:54 AM
This time's rally is driven by Chinese, and whoever spread the FUD this time was a bit too western centric and it didn't manage to spread the FUD in China. FUD fail. FUDster can now watch the price keep going up and bite his cheeks for selling everything.
Agreed.
If the news somehow hit CCTV, no one could imagine what would happen....
11  Economy / Speculation / Major flaw of Bitcoin found on: November 05, 2013, 02:20:02 AM
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/11/131104112234.htm

But post-doctoral fellow Ittay Eyal and Prof. Emin Gün Sirer have discovered that the conventional wisdom is wrong. In a paper that was released on ArXiv today, they describe a mining strategy they call Selfish-Mine, which allows a group of colluding miners, known as a mining pool, to earn more than its fair share of compensation. Moreover, large mining pools can use this strategy to increase their revenue even more, at the expense of honest miners.

The implications of this result are devastating for the system, say Eyal and Sirer. Once a selfish mining pool forms, other miners will want to join that pool to increase their revenue. This process could lead to a takeover, where the selfish miners become a majority, control the global Bitcoin ledger, and the decentralized nature of the currency collapses.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitpay just processed its first 1,000,000 USD order, Dump incoming? on: October 30, 2013, 04:05:32 AM
This 1mil is nothing, what worries me more is the seized bitcoins(BTC140,000) by FBI.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: This sounds super bullish -is there some catch? on: October 29, 2013, 01:03:50 AM
Just a startup company

Still no dividends for last week, oh my gosh.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you withdraw US cash from MTGox now? on: October 27, 2013, 01:27:59 PM
No.  10 weeks wasn't long enough for me to get my dollars.

I withdrew on August 18.  After 10 weeks I cancelled my withdrawal via the support page.   Two days later I had the dollars back in my account.  I bought bitcoins and withdrew the bitcoins.  I received the bitcoins in about 30 seconds.
I am less fortunate than you. I requested a USD withdraw on 30th June, waited for 3 months, finally gave up and canceled my withdrawal. As if MtGox had not troubled me enough already, they decided to give me one last(and big) trouble, my bitcoin withdrawal was stuck for some unknown reasons, not appearing on blockchain after a few hours, contacted their noob support who refused to offer any help, just gave canned replies and asked me to wait indefinitely. Finally after 36 hours, my transaction appeared on the blockchain and I am done with MtGox finally, I feel much more happy after that, I literally feel that I am enjoying a new life wtih no more muthafuckers to piss me off every day in every possible way.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden new largest bitcoin address as of 10/25 on: October 26, 2013, 04:40:18 AM
Too risky to buy now, we won't know how they would use the seized coins.
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you withdraw US cash from MTGox now? on: October 25, 2013, 11:03:43 AM
lol, 5% for a slim chance of getting your withdrawal processed. I am surprised there is still no legal action against this morally and financially bankrupt company.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't worry on: October 24, 2013, 08:39:52 AM
yea, whales trying hard to increase his holding of bitcoins.
They got to buyback at some point or else they will hold the bags of useless MtGox USD credit.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 24, 2013, 05:26:29 AM
