Hi, yeah I'm actually in the middle of writing up an explanation/tutorial.
It works the same way most sites do.
So for Blackjack a deck is created and shuffled. This is the initial shuffle. Then a server seed is randomly generated.

The hash of both of these are shown to you before you play. You can then supply a client seed, a default one is randomly generated in your browser or you can enter any text you like.

When you bet the client seed is combined with the server seed and the deck is shuffled again with the Mersenne Twister algorithm.
The has of the final deck is shown to you as you play and at the end of the hand the initial deck and server seed are shown to you.

You can use the provided tools to verify everything, Javascript code is provided.

Dice is done in same way except there's no deck or second shuffle. Just your client seed and server seed are used to pick a random number and you can verify it after the roll when the server seed is revealed.

A new server seed is generated every hand/roll.

Dice and Blackjack games are now provably fair.





This was long overdue. For the first 9-10 months Pocket Rockets Casino only provided poker games and provably fair doesn't work in that environment.
When I added Blackjack and Dice I felt that there was a lot of trust in me and the site from the community over the past 10 months.
However I realise that that was a stupid way to think and also that isn't the point of the provably fair system.
I had held off adding it in as I am working on new software for the site but felt it was so important for users, especially since it's the standard on every other Bitcoin site, that it had to be added to the current site asap.

For people used to using these tools on other sites you will most likely know how to use the verifiers. I am writing up a tutorial/description for people who don't know to include on the site now.

Leaderboard update:
The weekly dice leaderboard prizes have been updated today so currently the prizepool for Bitcoin Dice is 113.83 m฿ and the Dogecoin one is 138,968.73 Dogecoin.

Yeah it will be split based on your % of total wagered of the top 5 players. I think this is the most fair/balanced way to do this.
The prizepools do increase but I will have to update it manually for a couple days until I write code to do it automatically.

Hi, sorry I should clarify that on the actual site. The new leaderboard for poker went up on Saturday so decided it was easier just to do Sat-Fri and so not to have multiple dates I thought it would just be best to do the same with the dice leaderboard.

So it ends at 23:59 Friday GMT.

I don't know where you see the +0.01 bonus for dice?
The deposit bonus is only for poker at the moment.

Hi, so that deposit bonus is currently only for poker. It has a play through requirement. So if you deposit 1 Bitcoin you don't get 1 instantly added but as you play it will be added to your account in increments of 0.02 Bitcoin. It clears faster than all sites I know of and is essentially > 50% rb as you play.
