1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many coins can keep in MEW? on: July 13, 2018, 06:59:39 PM
hello , How many coins can keep in MEW address? Is it secured wallet?

There's only one coin you can store in your MyEtherWallet and that is Ethereum. The others are called tokens. Tokens relies on a coin's network. To be clear, cryptocurrencies that relies on a coin's blockchain is called tokens. ERC20 compliant tokens are the other "coins" you are talking about. MEW can store all the tokens as long as they are Ethereum-based tokens.

MEW is a secure wallet. You control your assets since you have your private key. Just be careful. There are many phishing sites out there that will try to snatch your private key. If ever you wallet is compromised, it will always be your fault and not your wallet's.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Fees Gas ETH on: July 13, 2018, 06:46:58 PM
-Fees Gas ETH is too high.
-Previous 2 days, I set Gwei from 1 Gwei to 10 Gwei. Transaction is very fast, not pending!!
-But now, It's increase 41 Gwei but i not still execute transaction. I have increase 82 Gwei .
-It's really really difficult!!
-What do you think about it? -Why is it increase?
+I think Maybe some mining machine is stopping !! Or it's to be affected by something such as: politic, disaster and so on... I don't sure about this
+I see when Fres token is listing vote on Fcoin only deposit only 1 token. Gas is increased. I think so because I love fresco project!! haaahha.
+Morever, I think It's also affect from World Cup. After WC season, I think There will be many changes.(Just kidding:) )
So, What do you think about this?
You have some reason for this. Can share for me and everyone??  Smiley Smiley

The reason for this is that the Ethereum Network is experiencing bottlenecks or congestion. There are many transactions going in that the network cannot handle it. Maybe an attack, sending too many transactions with very low or no fee at all, or whatever the reason behind the congestion. And the only solution here is to increase the gas price so that your transaction will be prioritized.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I am Victim Now! Myetherwallet got Hacked on: July 12, 2018, 03:32:07 PM
I don't know how I Explain my feelings. I Just lost all of my savings money. I was holding since January, I have been Holding to make again a good amount of Money. But at the end, my holding's output is, I lost everything because of my ETH wallet got hack! Almost 5K USD Stolen. All of my hard working money. I Don't know how can hacker hacked my wallet. Because I Kept very secure my private key, My friends are telling that hacker hacked my wallet by my email address. But how can someone hack only by an email address?

I Got a security alert from Google that someone has your password after then I changed my password immediately. Then after some time, I was checking my wallet to check new Coin. And then I Shocked! I Just want to give up, can't think what should I do  Cry

I am puzzled with the statements above. You were saying that your MEW was hacked. And then you were talking about hacking using email. MEW and email has no connection at all. MEW does not need your email so how? It is confusing.

Another thing, a Google alert? Then you changed your password? I believe you are not using MEW at all. I am using MEW and I haven't used my email in making a wallet.

This should be a lesson for you. Quit whining and stand up. There's nothing you can do now. Learn how to fully secure your assets. You cannot be too sure with regards to cryptocurrency.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RE: WHY MOST FALL IN PRICE SOON AFTER LISTING ON EXCHANGE on: July 12, 2018, 03:14:34 PM
It seem that almost all ICOs that get listed on exchanges usually plunge in price soon afterwards. Are bounty hunters responsible or is it as a result of the general bearish market condition?

Bounty hunters plays a role on the dumps you are seeing. However, I think the reason for this is the buyers themselves. They know that bounty hunters will dump their coins/tokens immediately after they receive their payment so buyers bid lower than the ICO price. Historically, many coins/tokens jumps back after bounty dump.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethreum Price By end Of Year on: July 12, 2018, 02:27:38 PM
What will be price prediction for ethereum in 2018 end ,
whats gonna high and whats Gonna low

I am positive about Ethereum reaching 1000 USD this year. Ethereum has peaked around 1,200 USD last year and we are almost halfway there now. reaching 1000 USD should be easy for Ethereum, assuming that there will be a bull run this year. If ever the market surprises us once again, I call 2500 USD tops.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency should I buy now? on: July 11, 2018, 03:30:44 PM
What cryptocurrency should I buy now?

The whole decision here should be on you 100%. You should not be encouraged by others as what they are advertising to you is what they hold. The decision should be based from your own research and not based from your polls or something because these are just opinions where no concrete evidence is shown.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy altcoin on: July 08, 2018, 02:34:27 PM
I want to ask, when is the right time to buy altcoins, help me friends, please give your best answer

This is generally known for all types of investment with the same nature as cryptocurrency. The right time to buy cryptocurrency is when the market is down. As the widely knows saying here states: "buy low, sell high". The market now is the best opportunity for buying altcoins.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many Coins (Blockchain) got hacked recently. on: July 08, 2018, 06:36:10 AM
Many Coins (Blockchain) got hacked recently, 51% attack included.
Yesterday, we had a bad news from Syscoin & Binance. #SYS price was pumping so fast before #Binance went down for "maintainence" - I think Binance also got hacked. That is too bad.

Blockchain, hacked? LOL. Would you please enlighten us how can a blockchain of a coin be hacked? Blockchain is a public ledger and is decentralized. Being decentralized shields the blockchain from being hacked.
Binance, on the other hand, is an online exchange. It is vulnerable from hacks. If ever an exchange was hacked, this does not mean that the blockchain of a certain coin was also hacked.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear for empty balance in future.. on: July 07, 2018, 02:25:11 PM
I am very afraid for my crypto balance. At present I have some coin.I brought this coin previous december month. But at this time my balance to become very small. So I feel fear for see empty balance in future.Any one can advice me now what i am doing. Will I sell or hold my coins?

I take that the balance you are talking about is your coin's value in fiat and not the balance of your coin. The OP is misleading for some people so please make your post clear next time.

It is inevitable to see the value of your coins to decrease since this is cryptocurrency we are talking about. But if you have a strong coin in you such as Bitcoin or Ethereum then you have nothing to worry about because they will eventually increase in value. Hold as long as you can afford these coins to lose. Sell if you need to but not because you are feeling hopeless. Feelings are not good for trading  Wink
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: July 06, 2018, 05:03:31 PM
Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?

BTC and ETH are mainstream currencies? You're thinking ahead mate  Grin
If ever or whenever cryptocurrency goes mainstream then BTC and ETH will definitely take the lead. However, we are all open for possibilities and there might be a new cryptocurrency that will exist and overtake the lead. This is a little foggy at the moment but who knows.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins BETTER than BITCOIN? on: July 05, 2018, 07:45:41 PM
I don't think altcoin is better than bitcoin. bitcoin is the best coin on the cryptocurrency market.

In single cases, altcoins may be more profitable than bitcoin, but this is only possible if you invest in altcoins and sell them at the height of growth that would buy more bitcoins. But this scheme is complex and you need to have a lot of knowledge in trade and analytics.

If we are to talk about profitability, Bitcoin is a safe haven because it is a strong coin. Altcoins could give the same rate but the tricky part is choosing the right altcoin.

On the other hand, if we are to talk about different aspect, aside from the price, profitability, and such, certain altcoins are better than Bitcoin. This would be based from transaction speed, fee, etc.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities and Cryptocurrency on: July 05, 2018, 07:40:53 PM
Just wanted to create a thread on this and if anyone has heard from reliable sources of well known people recently expressing interest in cryptocurrency.

I've seen many well known people who support the usage of cryptocurrency and even advertise ICOs. This is good for the specific coin or token or even as a whole. However, I do not trust them advertising an ICO. They are just paid people without any knowledge about what they are advertising. Their advertisement could be just a sugar coating for an incoming scam.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do if the altcoin price dumped? on: July 02, 2018, 03:20:48 PM
Lately, we know the market price of altcoin weakened. Whether or not the purchasing power decreases. Please explain to me what makes you interested in altcoins? And give me an explanation of what you will do to overcome things when altcoin the price dumps?

Altcoins, as from its name itself, is a good alternative coin for Bitcoin. I prefer using altcoin, particularly Ethereum, over Bitcoin when having transactions. Not only that Ethereum is fast in terms of transaction speed but it also offers small transaction fees. This is the main reason that I am into altcoins as soon as I get to know them.

I rarely do anything when the price dumps. I am holding still my coins and tokens unless I have to sell them and convert to fiat.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we really need to hold altcoins on: June 25, 2018, 06:47:05 PM
Someone told me it is better to hold btc rather than altcoins that she doesn't see any reason why people hold altcoin. She noticed altcoins rely heavily on btc that whenever btc fall they also fall with btc. What is your take on this?

Bitcoin is the greatest coin. Not only it is the first of its kind, high profitability, but it has most of people's support. So it is better to hold Bitcoin than any other coin. However, diversification is a must for a great investor. You must never place all your eggs in a single basket so that whatever happens you have backup. People will never force you to hold altcoins nor Bitcoin. It will be your decision. Regardless of what you hold, just be sure that you hold coin or token that will give you your desired gains.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is better a Long term or Short term investment? on: June 25, 2018, 06:31:20 PM
Deciding what is better is a vague concept. Better is what aspect? We cannot say something is better than the other in general when both sides have ups and downs. We can only say that the other is better based from our perspective depending on a specific situation.

Long term investment is better if you do not want to monitor the market often. You just buy coins and then check the market whenever you want. There's no hassle for you since you do not need the money you invested. Short term investment give more profit than long term but you have to monitor the market more often so that you can decide when to buy or sell. It requires more work but worth every effort.

So based from those comparison, decide.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I buy in this dip on: June 25, 2018, 06:03:48 PM
I can't resist a good sale and I'm thinking of buying 3-5 alts in this dip. Tell me what you think:

Strengthen my position in NEO / EOS / ETH

OR

Buy into some alts I've been watching for a while: PRL / KMD / ZIL / SIA / (add your coin here)

Any and all suggestions welcome!

If I am the one who'll buy, I prefer to buy NEO / EOS / ETH since they are strong coins. Those coins will really strengthen your position and lessen the risk of losing your ROI. Though the alts you are watching does appeal to me personally and they might have great potential in this market, there's nothing wrong about being too careful, right? But if you want to gamble on those alts, feel free to do so. Higher risk gives higher gains Wink
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when your coin spikes? on: June 25, 2018, 05:21:05 PM
I'm just looking for the opinions of others really, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.
What do you do when a coin you're holding suddenly jumps up by like 30% or whatever? do you try to sell at the peak of that spike and buy them back once it's gone back down again? or do you just keep on hodling?

I rarely do anything when the price of a coin or token I hold increases in value. Most of the coins and tokens I own is for a long term investment in my part. I often convert my tokens to Ethereum of Bitcoin and then hold them until I need to convert it to cash for urgent expenses. The habit of holding despite of the spike made me loss clear profit but I never regret my decisions regarding this matter. As long as I gained profit, there's no point regretting.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Market all RED today. I am so scared on: June 25, 2018, 05:08:15 PM
BTC $5800
ETH $395
NEO $29
BTC $23
XRP $0.48
...
I lost 70% of my investment. WTF is going on?? I am really scared.
Does this real the bubble will explode in 2018?
Please give some advices.
Thank you so much!

First, why 2 BTCs? What's the second BTC on the list?

If the coins listed above are the one that's in your portfolio then rest assured that the current state of the market will soon be over. The coins above are strong coins that can withstand this market state and have the possibility of overtaking its recent all time high prices. 70% loss is tough and given the fact that the market recently is a jerk, there's nothing we can do about it. Just like the most common saying in this forum, "Patience is a virtue".
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Altcoins dump again? on: June 25, 2018, 04:53:27 PM
I think we all need to calm our nerves down and not rush to sell in panic, things are so bad now and we seems to be very unhappy with the situation which is very understandable but my advice is that we should all cool down and not sell now. Selling will only make us loose big when things get back to normal.
many people said like that, the price will be back to normal
but until now what happen? the price still isnt back to normal. if youre really trader, you'll use short term

But I have to ask what is the definition of the state of being "normal price"? I assume the definition for most people here is when the price levels to the recent all time high. So let us assume that that is the normal price. Many said that the price will be back to normal but nobody said when exactly. The term "will" denotes that it will happen in the future. So just be patient and wait for the price to be back to normal unless otherwise.
