1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash pump on: September 20, 2017, 04:03:13 PM
The reason for BCC pump is that there is a rumor it will rebrand as Bitcoin China. Seems it's gone now
Really? What is the proof about this?

Only speculation as the thread says. There is no real funded news about it. Price fluctuates as per general crypto.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: September 20, 2017, 03:31:01 PM
ETH has so many feature in the pipeline which waves is not actually matching.
On the other hand, waves has something which ETH does not have, i.e. a dex.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Core 0.10 upgrade - New Self Moderated Thread on: September 20, 2017, 01:31:50 PM
I can see QRK traded on cryptopia! When did it happen? It is an excellent news by the way. Once new developments will be announced, I am sure the coin will shoot up!
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Suretly - first crowdvouching platform ★ ICO is over ★ on: September 20, 2017, 09:38:28 AM
I think the difference of value for both types of tokens will finish once we will have working product. Normally this should not happen since initial coin offering exchange price were same for both types but market is free at the moment. We will see not only same value but also more high price for both in future.

The big spread across different exchanges and platform cannot be accurate at the moment since the trading volumes are so tiny at the moment. Once the token will be traded more, spread will drastically decrease.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: September 19, 2017, 03:19:18 PM
The lite version is not very optimised yet. Customisation is quite little (chart history, other tools) and makes long term trading a little difficult. I hope the new release will bring fresh features.
1289  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: September 19, 2017, 11:22:00 AM
Panicking makes you take wrong decision most of the time. Rationality and cold blood are sort of skills you need to develop in order to be able to deal with such strong events. The falling of bitcoins is one of those strong event which you should be able to tackle in the most relaxed way possible in order to don't rush in your decision, which can cost you lots of money in the long term.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU AGREE? on: September 19, 2017, 10:28:21 AM
Masterluc a Legendary Bitcoin Trader
now predicts that Bitcoin will reach $15,000 before the end of this year. What’s more, he believes that Bitcoin will reach a price of $40,000 - $110,000 by the end of this bull run. He gives a timeframe of 2019 for that price target.

While these numbers seem absolutely extraordinary, many traders have noted that the recent “bubble” doesn’t seem so bubbly after all. Bitcoin has not yet gone parabolic as it did at the end of previous bubble cycles.
No guarantees

Of course, as any investing prospectus will tell you, past performance is no guarantee of future gains. It remains to be seen if masterluc is correct in his predictions. If--and it’s a big if--he is correct, there are going to be a lot more Bitcoin millionaires by 2019.
Do You Agree?

The time frame this guy suggested seems to short in my humble opinion. It will takes years in order to see such levels. There are many problems at the moments, especially with authorities and governments. Perhaps another order of magnitude can be achieved with more stability and at the end of the mining process.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: JSEcoin (Javascript coin) First of it's kind? on: September 19, 2017, 06:29:23 AM
Nimiq is building a new platform quite similar but in a much bigger scale. The team said that browsers are very secure as you store passwords in there and so on. JavaScript for mining can be very used in the future indeed.
Is this coin asics and GPU resistant?
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Authorship (ATS) token is a scam on: September 19, 2017, 06:17:50 AM

I have not received the tokens too. They generalised the problem without considering that there are lot of genuine applications made. Sending a wall text of excuses was not the best move as they do not need to justify their action, but prevented such ambiguity in the first place.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]⭐[DRXNE]⭐[DROXNE] ⭐⭐GAMING ON THE BLOCKCHAIN ⭐⭐[AIRDROP] ⭐[POS] on: September 18, 2017, 07:51:43 PM
I think we should all wait and see in 5-6 weeks if games come out before we jump to any conclusions... everyone is quick to speculate what happened but its pointless to argue on the board if it was a scam or not, so just be patient and wait and see... and if you feel the need to dump your coins and get out now, do it, but we all forget when bitcoin came out a lot of financial professionals around the globe said it was a scam, and it made a lot of people a lot of money, so only time can tell on these things

First of all, this project is not bitcoin. Hence, you cannot expect all the huge development behind, which is made from a team of developers. The Droxne developer was very active at the beginning, posting very frequently multiple times a day. I do not understand why he/she does not show up and clarify the status of the project. It is not shameful to say the work is behind schedule. Investors have given him quite a bit of money and it is quite not fair to disappear in this way!
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: September 18, 2017, 05:31:07 PM

My suggestion is to create an off-chain version of the DEX that settles periodically to reduce fees and allows for instant transactions.

I would contribute towards this.

It's very doable. Free, instant order placing can be offered by a 3rd party market maker. Signed orders are generated locally and sent to the market maker. He scans all orders, updates the order book in real time, and broadcasts only matching orders. Unmatched orders are deleted, i.e. never broadcast to the BTC network.

The market maker can charge some fees for their services, thus a business opportunity.

Outlined more in detail here : https://counterpartytalk.org/t/instant-free-orders-on-dex-why-not/3579

This is a very nice feature if implemented correctly. I know many users who don't want to trade on the Dec because of the listing fees and fear of no liquidity to fill the order. Good times are coming then!

1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Spring for BTC - Storm has ended on: September 18, 2017, 06:51:10 AM
I think save some and sell it partly to reduce the risk because we do not know whether the future is still up or down or can also invest in a place a good cloud mining

I strongly not recommend to invest in any cloud mining programme as the roi for short contracts is very very small, or even negative. I'd recommend to invest in altcoins instead to diversify the portfolio.
1297  Economy / Services / Re: [SIG CAMPAIGN] AFFINITY MINING [OPEN] on: September 18, 2017, 06:46:04 AM
Dear campaign manager, after your recent update, I haven't seen my application in the accepted or rejected list. Please let me know if I can be part of this campaign. I would be grateful.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

thank you,

so I should create a file called quark.conf right?  and suppose to be like that?

I just created a text file with those nodes and put it in the appdata > Roaming > quarkcoin folder.

do not forget to change the file extension to .conf
otherwise, you can add manually the nodes from:
debug - console. Just type "addnode xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx add"

What is the status of the coin with respect to Cryptopia? Two days to the planned delisting. Such a bad news!

Is there any update from the team after the end of the pre-ICO? Perhaps I have missed it. It would be good to see where the project is and where and how the development is going. Much appreciated.
