I've held XCP on and off since the beginning although have rarely used it.
Burned some BTC and then sold for a good profit and have been in and out of it ever since and it has been good to me.
It's fair to say that it's underperformed most other alts with it only sitting at currently about 3 x the original burn price.
I just wonder what the future holds for it once BTC has Rootstock/side chains implemented. Will it still be relevant?
I guess I am looking for reasons to buy back in again.

Has anyone tried to send XCP from Rare Pepe Wallet to Poloniex lately? I sent some yesterday, but it doesn't look like it's showing up there. I've opened up a support ticket, of course, but thought I'd let you guys know so your funds don't get stuck, too.

I think there's almost no user and no dev now. I am surprised that  it can keep its current price.

XCP is the farthest thing in crypto from a dead coin.

The development team is very active. Many projects are underway that will further legitimize Counterparty. Over 1,000,000 transactions have been processed, the protocol is ROCK SOLID.

New and exciting things are on the way with the implementation of SegWit. I for one am very, very excited about the future of XCP, more than any other crypto.

is this always like this?

i sent some XCP to poloniex. after the first confirmation the coins where sent to an other address.
this must be an other address of polo - according the amount of coins inside...
and after the second transaction  was confirmed too i still had nothing in my polo wallet - or they still did not show it.

strange.

EDIT:

now the deposit is visible at poloniex. they show me the address and the transaction of my deposit. but this address is empty if you check it with https://xchain.io/.

why do polo show this to me? the coins i deposited are no longer in this address....

This is normal, is it not? Do not all exchanges do this?

Personally I would not use Polo. I left them after their "manual" review of my withdrawals for days.I suspect they run a fractional reserve scheme. They wait for new deposits to make withdrawals possible

Counterparty is perfectly suitable for ICOs. Since it's Bitcoin-based it's easy to integrate with the world's largest blockchain.

Slowly Counter party is expanding it blockchain and many new contracts are being launched through this block chain. So XCP is having great feature because already XCP is one of most valuable currency in the planet which has been stable in the market.

Universal Map Of Knowledge – Everything We Know Has Value

1. Digital Assets:

All information has hidden monetary value. Be it artistic expression, scientific discovery, cultural artifact, natural phenomena, digital identity, a blog post, a photo or a tweet, all of it are examples for events that can be turned into digital assets by using counterparty protocol.

2. Security:

Counterparty protocol resides on top of bitcoin blockchain. That means that all event assets are backed by bitcoin security and anchoring events is open to everyone.

3. Web Of Value:

Without context content has no value. To create greater context, the events can be linked with each other via value communication.

4. Purpose:

The purpose is to construct a universal map of knowledge which will provide access to reliable information to anyone with an internet connection.

5. No Nonsense:

This is a method to record, commodify and connect events in a trustless and most secure way possible. No vaporware or ICO.

The technology to generate the raw data exists today.

My suggestion is to create an off-chain version of the DEX that settles periodically to reduce fees and allows for instant transactions.

I would contribute towards this.
