1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin - Scam or not ? on: August 18, 2017, 09:37:38 PM
How to identify whether an altcoin is scam or not?
This happened with me today. I bought ACRN coin from yobit yesterday for 0.01btc and today morning its price was 1 satoshi Undecided Doomed!!
I'll suggest you to first make a research about it before engaging yourself on buying it. Also, look and analyze if the price is close to reality. Further ask those who are old on this 'business', because they know and they are awared of the coins, changes perhaps and the modus, more like consulting. I never heard of this coin that you've said, in this intance, it is suspicious and weird at the same time.

About this matter here, it's a better idea to check coin market capacity of the coin or maybe if you cannot have a source where it's been traded. I think of that coin that it's a shitcoin which is not yet been introduced fully to investors, that's why it happen it became suspicious. Of course we wanted an assurance for it because were serious about this matter here, money always been a vulnerable asset as well. With regards to scam, we can't be certain if not proven yet so better read other's feedback's.

I agree with previous posts.
All the indicators to monitor are available in the forum.
Due diligence is fundamental in order to distinguish scam from genuine projects. Sometimes is more difficult, but still possible.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: August 18, 2017, 09:26:11 PM

Hi eeX,

Initial sync can be tricky. There are two alternative that worked for me.

1) Download the block chain using Mega, Drive or url download. The links are here
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/08/04/new-method-for-downloading-block-chain/

2) Connect to a remote node. This will allow you to only get the headers and get your wallet working really fast. Setting up your own node is most secure option, but you should be fine using a remote node. You can find some instructions for the remote node here:
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/07/30/run-the-bytecoin-wallet-as-light-client/

Regards,

Jorrit

thanks for the link, but:

Unless you have an account on Mega, it is not possible to download the full >7GB blockchain.
Having a Mega free account does not help either as it stops downloading after about 2.5GB as you reach the quota.
Option 2 is not to be considered.

Any other alternative?

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4t0S1ES9L-ROHNZdjVwVi1Rd0E

i have wasted 2 days in this, i tried to sync wallet but after 90% it just failed and did not load, then mega, no account so no limit, google drive gives error while zipping the file, when you download it automatically zip it and thats when it error out, not sure what could be the issue

Download each file separately without an archive. And everything works
Uploaded for you https://yadi.sk/d/JcIgbDq23M7rKo

First sync does take a very long time, but once it syncs everything works fine.  Don´t give up friend  Grin

We need more people using Bytecoin

 Cool

Instead of home made remedies, we need a proper solution.
The solution must come from devs in order to be fully implemented by the whole community!
1423  Economy / Services / Re: Earn $0.5 for ICO review on: August 18, 2017, 09:22:41 PM
All reviews are paid, Thank you everyone. Please remember if your review wasn’t published, quality doesn’t fit and it won’t be paid.

And remember we pay only, if you provide 50+ words review with good quality content with advantages and disadvantages, not just copy paste info about ICO and some poor text like " I wish good luck to this ICO. This ICO will be a success, you should invest in it. and etc". Also you need provide your ETH ( not btc) wallet, and give ico rating.

Dear OP,

two out of six reviews were published. However, payment hasn't been provided. It is already two days.
Once you announce payment, please provide txid for clarity purposes.
I look forward to receiving the payment as promised.

I've participated and got some e-peens, but I need a simple guide how to make cards and what are they used to. My first experience with counterparty ASSets.

A simple guide can be found here.
https://penisium.org/submit-card/

Burn some Penisium depending on the card you want to make. Download the template and add your design. Pay some dex fees, submit the card and there you go!
If you need further assistance, the Penisium BALL team will help. Also, a very active group on telegram: https://t.me/penisium

People are kidding themselves if they think bitcoin is going to die.

in 2100 there will be NO currency.

In 2100 there wont be anyone (or at least the majority) from this forum.
Soon, there will be a private key written down in the last will and testament of some crypto billionaire.
No more fiat to the heirs.

Where did you get the coins at this rate?

Ich hatte die Münzen auf Cryptopia gekauft. Limit 107 Satoshi 0,77 BTC.

It was a coincidence.
I have set limit 107 Satoshi to 0,77 BTC.
Shortly thereafter I had 72800 coins.
Previously purchased, 50000 pcs and 51307 pcs.
I have now app. 834.000 DROXNE Coins.
The coins are in Germany.
I will not sell to these prices and volume.

Greetings from Germany
Grüsse aus Deutschland

Your bid and transaction were more than legit. The question is how can such a big amount of coin be available? Why there is a -900k coins out of the reservoir wallet? Perhaps OP can explain.

Even with the smallest GAS, by now the transaction should have been received. However, I still haven't received anything.
I (and also other reviewers) would appreciate if you could post the transaction id. It will remove any ambiguity.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between the Waves tokens and the Ethereum ones?

There shouldn't be any difference. It is actually the same token traded on different platforms.
The WSur can be traded on the waves platform, which is a decentralised exchange.

Sucks that i spent 0.95 BTC as an early investor and i have less than 50k coins while someone just bought 728200k coin  for 0.7 BTC yesterday. How do you expect early investors to ever make their money back. Am not even worried about profit anymore, i would just like to make half of my money back. This guy can continue selling his coins whenever there is a little spike in price and utilize the gain to drive the price back down, also he is getting most of the stakes. Just irritating cos some of us made an effort to root for the coin, and got pissed on.
No way, it's the airdrop recipients selling now, cos the airdrop was quick and short, and recipients received only 1000 coins. Main reason some of us invested cos we thought we were dealing with someone that might be utilizing a logical stance but instead we got fucked.

I feel for you and for the early investors. It is disappointing that the development is coming so late. The concept would have been, and it is still great if the roadmap was definite clearly and development faster.
I am sure there will be better days soon!

My beef is not with the game development, i know that takes time. The issue is we had a really quick airdrop, with few recipient who only got 1000 coins, so how the fuck is buddy buying that much coin for 0.7 BTC.
According to other ppl that got there coin OTC we all paid btw 2k-3k per unit, so no one would willing burn that amount of cash. So it doesn't take a genius to figure out who is fucking us here. I mean without our investment, this coin wouldn't have made it to the exchange, and we the ones getting molested.

This is a clear and strong statement.
Three airdrops. 1000 coins. max 100 users each makes 300k coins.
Perhaps the OTC investors sold immediately when the coin was 4000-4200 each (making a profit)(?). That is why there is such a high liquidity yet(?).

-900k coins off the wallet matching the spike on the exchange.

Dude am not sure why you trying to defend something that is so obvious. 300k coins to airdrop recipients who have been actively selling since the coin got listed on the exchange, a sizeable amount has already been sold.
With regards to OTC investors selling their coin at 4000-4200k, are you insinuating that someone bought close to 800k coin for 4k sat, then turn around and sell it few weeks later for 107 sat. Its more plausible that someone has multiple accounts ( i know i do) and claim one of the accounts is an OTC investor.  No one in their right mind will buy a coin for 2-3k, then sell it a few weeks later for 107 sat, thereby eliminating any legit OTC investor and no one will buy from a legit OTC for 4k, then turn around and sell it for 107 sat few weeks later.
No matter how you mold it, its easy to identify what happened here, and it was poorly executed. All i can do now is raise awareness about it, even if i have to lose the 0.95 BTC i invested.

I am not defending anyone. I actually agree with you.
Looking at my edited post, it is clearly possible to identify a movement from the biggest wallet of about 900k coins, and soon enough a spike in the exchange volume.

1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Choose altcoin for trading on: August 16, 2017, 11:19:14 AM
I would suggest to look at the market cap and then make some decisions.
The 10-20 coins with the highest cap can be a good choice. I wouldn't go below the 50th position, unless you believe in it or you want to speculate.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug.9 on: August 16, 2017, 10:41:20 AM
Is Neo's POS stake work the same as Decred does?

Icon

No, with Decred, you need stake by buying tickets which vote on average in 30 days. Plus decred awards more decred, while NEO awards GAS.  With Neo, you simply need to hold it in your wallet though a few exchanges now award GAS (bittrex soon likely)

Would you have any reference for bittrex awarding GAS to NEO holders? Any link please? Or is it just speculation?
One more question. What is the minimum amount of GAS which can be claimed?
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 500$ to invest on: August 16, 2017, 10:04:03 AM
I would buy bitcoin. Regardless the price.
If you believe it will go further up in the long term, that is the most sensible decision then.

I will hold my tokens too! Great potential in the medium long term.
Couple of questions:
How will it work: a token will give the power to vouch?
Also, will the rewards be share with token holders?
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Suretly - first crowdvouching platform ★ ICO is over ★ on: August 15, 2017, 12:47:24 PM

Bittrex, as Poloniex, are American exchanges. Therefore, it is not possible to use them with SUR.

So what? Could you clarify your statement? SUR is not a secure, so there is no need for it to be obligated to the SEC rules.

I am sure you know the legislation better than I do. Please explain al the details and speculate on the possible exchanges.
Everyone would really appreciate some insight
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Suretly - first crowdvouching platform ★ ICO is over ★ on: August 15, 2017, 09:40:23 AM

I hope not only etheredelta exchanger accepted suretly
next i hope can added bittrex
and i hope coin create use ERC20 not ERC23

Bittrex, as Poloniex, are American exchanges. Therefore, it is not possible to use them with SUR.
But I agree, SUR needs a high liquidity market to explode at its full potential.
What would be other possible exchanges? Cryptopia? Novaexchange? Yobit?
I am sure devs will find the right ones.
