301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 15% POS | 593% Term Deposit on: February 16, 2018, 10:21:47 PM
Love you guys, however, I think that with "no halving", the "price" of ROI Coin will be always going down. See ya.

I could not disagree with you more.

I have had to work with dev teams to undo halving that was coded at launch and yet on down the road turned out to be a problem.

The reason pre-determined coding for halving at launch doesn't work is because when you launch a coin you can't know the future and so you can't know at what point it will need to be halved in the future. Then next thing you know all the miners leave the coin in the dust because the halving cuts the profit down so much nobody will mine it. This coin is designed to be mined for roughly 30 years and so it is critical for the health of the blockchain that there is enough of an incentive to mine the coin.

If this coin ever needs to be halved it will be halved at that time as needed... and not from launch. It will be halved when the community consensus and hard data dictates it and not at some pre-determined date from the time the coin was born. I chose to do it this way because I learned from watching other coins that made this very mistake.

302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] paccoin a new SHA256D coin is being introduced on: February 16, 2018, 10:04:56 PM
Lol he's ^ probably one of the old devs. Idk it wasnt tradeable in BTC. Have you seen those walls lol. Old pac wasnt going anywhere except down, used as pump and dump. Now $pac at least got a fighting chance eh.

I am not one of the old devs and I have presented numerous intelligent and legitimate questions and you also cannot give any adequate response to them.

So your legitimate and intelligent question is

"How on earth can you assume just because you do a swap that the price will gain 1000 times? Seriously? If you look at what the swap news is doing to the price now it's killing the value and that tells a story that the swap is not well received otherwise why would so many people be dumping it as fast as possible at way devalued prices?"

HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh??
REALLY?
Old pac was never gonna go up, it was being used just as a pump and dump. AGAIN there were 90 billion sell order on 1 sat.  Total supply goes down price goes up 0.00000001 > 0.00001000 sat with three billion supply pac has more chance to improve. I am not sure you own pac or not but youre not helping here and if you dont own any no one is forcing you to buy one lol.

"In terms of this "swap" who will 100% prove with zero doubt that the "swapped" (turned in) coins were permanently destroyed? As long as 2 or more computers keep running the existing coin and block chain will live on no doubt. If the turned in coins are not destroyed what will be done with them? Who's to say a new dev team moves in and reworks the existing coin and keeps it going?"

These questions you should ask devs. Theyre probably gonna do live when they perm destroy old pacs.

FYI I f#cking hating hate your kind of people

Your insistence that old pac was never going to go up is dead wrong. In December 2017 it was $0.000000884 USD and on January 6 2018 it was $.000242 USD. Please do the math and admit that is a gain of 27,376 percent and that was the old pac coin no doubt.

Now enter the news of the swap and the coin is plummeting in value because it is being dumped in mass quantity at devalued prices. People who hold this coin would not be dumping it in mass at devalued prices if they had great confidence in this swap. Look at the picture below please:

I appreciate your effort to address my questions but on your first point you present an argument that the coin will go up in value because it will ugh. On the 2nd question you say ask the devs and I have no problem hearing their response on what will be done with the turned in coins. On my other very important question as to why a swap and not a code base rework you have nothing.

Yes I own the coin and I own it big time. Billions and billions of this coin I have owned for a very long time and I have every reason to ask legitimate questions I am a very large stakeholder.

...I am amazed that you would be willing to ruin this coin after it recently had such a wonderful surge argh  Cry

I'm sorry but you are totally misinformed. People who own $10,000's of this coin have already swapped to new $pac as masternodes.

The new devs are honouring all swaps to the new coin. I can testify, my experience was perfect, received my new $pac within 24 hours.

The old paccoin has no future, it is dated technology. The new $pac blockchain is next generation tech and the devs have some great ideas for the new $pac platform.

As for what the dev will do with all the old paccoins, they already said they will probably ask the community to vote and in all likelyhood they will all be returned or burned in public. If returned, we win-win...we have both our new $pac and old paccoin.

You failed to give any explanation whatsoever of why the existing code base would not be modified to make any needed changes as opposed to doing this swap.

Please answer that question with a detailed explanation.

You also failed to respond to the enormous drop in PAC price leading into this swap. If this swap is so good please explain to me why the coin is being dumped in mass quantity at very devalued prices?

Your answer to what will be done with the existing coins is beyond vague... "probably, "likelyhood" "returned", "burned"...  Huh In other words nobody knows what will be done with the existing coins?
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] paccoin a new SHA256D coin is being introduced on: February 16, 2018, 07:50:56 PM
I bet most people who redeemed for the new $PAC are gonna hodl or only sell at a decent price.

And don't forget YoBit is still offering the PAC/ETH and PAC/USD trading pair. People can still buy the old PACcoin, withdraw to old wallet, and redeem them immediately.

In my opinion this coin swap is the worst idea ever.

Look at the value of PAC dropping like a rock and that is because people are dumping it like crazy leading up to the March 1 fork...

Whoever decided to do this swap needs to shut it down and take a wiser approach to addressing the perceived issues with over-supply and/or overly big interest payouts...

How on earth can you assume just because you do a swap that the price will gain 1000 times? Seriously? If you look at what the swap news is doing to the price now it's killing the value and that tells a story that the swap is not well received otherwise why would so many people be dumping it as fast as possible at way devalued prices?

Why on earth do you not release a wallet version that hard forks and rework the code to address any supply or interest issues you deem are big problems?

In terms of this "swap" who will 100% prove with zero doubt that the "swapped" (turned in) coins were permanently destroyed? As long as 2 or more computers keep running the existing coin and block chain will live on no doubt. If the turned in coins are not destroyed what will be done with them? Who's to say a new dev team moves in and reworks the existing coin and keeps it going?

Last but not least please realize you are asking people in some cases to just send you $1000,'s - $10,000's or even 6 figures plus of fiat currency worth of this coin. You are asking a lot when you require a level of trust with those amounts of cash wow...

I am amazed that you would be willing to ruin this coin after it recently had such a wonderful surge argh  Cry

My wallet sometimes stops working. The inscription appears:
EXCEPTION:St13runtime_error
CTransaction:GetValueOut(): value out of range

You need to go into coin control and find every line item that is at 99,000,000 and send it to yourself and divide it in half so that when you are finished you don't have any line items in coin control that are at 99 million...

how does it solve my issue Huh?

When you have an issue with an exchange community members can't just go into the exchange and fix it. Your issue is with the exchange and you will need the exchange to do whatever is needed to take care of the problem.

I wonder....
Has the yobit hotwallet gone into a negative state and they are forwarding coins to other wallets. Could explain some balance problems and withdraw problems in 1 fell swoop? Could that be what is causing their problem(s)? With the new wallet software enroute, is it possible to effectively nullify (or blacklist) the yobit wallet to stop more people loosing funds? Is that even an option that should be considered?

I am just kicking the ball about here... Not demanding.
If yobit continues to fail to do anything, something will have to be done to force their hand and it would be a good idea to have a plan ready rather than start thinking at THAT point.

When the wallet balance goes negative that wallet can't send any coins and it can't stake. It can receive coins but as those coins come in the negative balance becomes a smaller number but is still negative. This means that they could not be trading coins in their exchange with any negative wallet.

It wouldn't be possible to blacklist Yobit in the new wallet release code. The only thing I know to do is get the word out as much as possible and warn people not to send coins to Yobit until such time as they are able to receive and post incoming coins...

So how does one actually mine this? Pardon the newb question.

No bother with mining it but rather hold it in your wallet and stake it.

Will the exchange exchange coinexchange.io?

I don't understand the question.... PWR coin is not listed at coinexchange.io

It is not specified, but before that it was there, and I had 299 million there on my wallet. I can not withdraw or sell them. And I think that other people have such a situation there too
Warning: This currency is currently in maintenance mode. It is advised not to send deposits until the wallet is active.
https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/PWR

All I know to do is submit a support ticket there asking them to bring the wallet back online for trading...

my pwr coins are not showed up in the yobit wallet

For sure many many people have said that coins sent to yobit show up in the block explorer and the wallet shows all confirmed but then they never appear in the wallet at Yobit.

I have paid for a new exchange listing where users can buy/sell - deposit/withdraw and nobody is having any problems there.

For some reason people keep losing coins at Yobit and that is very sad. People are also dumping PWR coin at the CryptoHub exchange for about 1/4th of the price they are selling for at Yobit and that is not only sad but very impossible to understand.

Please stop using Yobit and start using the exchange that is working at https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/

Hi STRONGHANDS Community

I did buy STRONGHANDS 2 months ago I did transfer the STRONGHANDS  to my wallet to stake the coin on the old wallet for 20 days I did not get anything I waited for the new wallet I run it since its release the wallet is unlocked and I haven't got any coins can someone tell me what to do.

Thanks

Give it some more time you need about 30 days or so to get a stake. Also make sure that you are running the most recent version!
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STRONGHANDS - Community Take Over on: February 09, 2018, 07:12:11 PM
You need to read closely the previous tread here that shows a fork should have already occurred. Also if you look at the official block explorer you will note that any wallet running the previous version is well behind that blockchain.

You will need to give the exchange time to get this sorted out...
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STRONGHANDS - Community Take Over on: February 09, 2018, 04:57:05 PM
hello can anybodody help me?

fucking coinexchange missed one transaction, there is some strange 1 instead of the tx hash. i opened a ticket 5 days ago but these fuckers dont answer...

now this fork is coming and i dont know what to do...where are these coins now?what if they dont send it until the fork? i am so pissed off...they say they are re.sending every day...cant imagine they need so much time to re-send....lazy fucking scammers.

what should i do now?what happens to my coins? any idea?

thanks a lot

ice

I haven't taken any time to look close at the code but I did not see the coin fork at block 589500. The core is so old that the getchaintips command doesn't work in the console but what I can tell you is that running the previous old version of the wallet and that previous version stays synchronized with the same old block chain and so no hard fork has occurred that I can see at all.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STRONGHANDS - Community Take Over on: February 09, 2018, 04:03:26 PM
Can anybody tell me at what block height SHND will fork?
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PWR] POWERCOIN - Distributed Computing made easy [NOW TRADING] on: February 09, 2018, 01:11:43 PM
Sry, but I am correctly understand, what we will not see swap PWR from Yobit?

I have no idea about Yobit and can't speak for them. What I can tell you is that many people have reported that when they send PWR coins to Yobit they confirm and show in the block explorer and then never appear in the Yobit wallet. Also, many have reported submitting tickets on this and have not gotten any response from support.

You can follow some discussion on this here at Bitcointalk if you visit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1378867.3003

If you need to buy or sell PWR coin I would recommend you take advantage of the new exchange listing that I just paid for at https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/

How do i add these to the windows wallet? Tried through the debug console, "addnode=" command isn't recognised

You will need a configuration file named powercoin.conf. You will need to add those nodes in that file and then add that file to the same folder that contains your wallet.dat file. After all that just relaunch the wallet and it will connect.

The PWR core is very old and out of date and this is why many critical console commands just simply do not work. These issues are being addressed by the dev team and you will see major improvements with our release of the next wallet version.
