I've got some IncaCoins that are close to 35 days old and my wallet is unlocked for staking...

When they hit the 35 day mark will I get an interest payment or does it take an additional 35 days once they begin staking?

Right now it says they are not staking because they are not "mature" yet  Tongue
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Digital Money Bits (DMB) - New wallet version 1.5 on: June 26, 2017, 12:06:58 PM
Is anybody else having an issue with the wallet?

My wallet is stuck at block 5192 and won't fully synchronize...

The block explorer is way way behind like it's stuck at block 5000or so...

---Edit---

Just in case anybody else may need this...

As you can see in my post above I had a non-synching block chain issue after installing the latest wallet version.

The fix:
  • In the data directory I deleted everything except the wallet.dat file
  • I made a backup copy of the wallet.dat file
  • Restarted the wallet and it quickly synchronized with no issues and now matches the block explorer

Best of luck!

Warning guys! Dev isn't new really a dev! He's asking on xbtfteelancer to get someone to implement new features for him! https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/prj/3987/skilled-developer-required-500-budget-repost

That's good news  Smiley I'm glad to hear the DEV is willing to hire help to get things done for this coin. What matters is the coin has ongoing development and improvements, increased market value, increased market trading and market cap. Also, it's important for the coin to have a lively and friendly community that responds to anyone asking questions or needing help with the coin.

I think IncaCoin is a great coin with tons of potential and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend buying and holding right now while the price is still low. If and when the coin transforms to a masternode scenario I will be one of the first ones offering to jump in and stake a masternode!

I'm not sure why you would jump in here as if to save us and warn us with this tidbit of information (breaking news?) you brought? Many many coins have hired/paid people for a variety of services from coding, to block explorers, marketing, to fees for exchange listings, etc., etc. No biggie at all in my book...  Tongue
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Digital Money Bits (DMB) - New wallet version 1.5 on: June 25, 2017, 12:28:02 PM
Why would the developer go to all the trouble of working up the new wallet version 1.5 at github if this is a scam? That isn't logical to me. At this point the coin has become massively devalued so anyone who has this coin in their wallet doesn't have many options other than to wait this out and hope things stabilize and the value will climb back to where it was around $0.13 USD  Shocked
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NKA] INCAKOIN l Perú l Launched Aug 2013 | Roadmap released | on: June 16, 2017, 12:39:04 AM
Will this coin continue to get 9% interest every 35 days forever or does that end at some point? Also does the 35 days begin as soon as the money is deposited in the wallet?

Also, I would be willing to run a master node depending on the details.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 15, 2017, 12:42:58 AM
Has anybody been having issues today trying to withdraw Monero from Poloniex?

I submitted a withdraw of Monero from Poloniex and pointed it at my Monero wallet on my pc and now it's been half a day and no incoming transaction? Over at Poloniex it does show the transaction and it's marked "Pending."

Not sure if I did something wrong or if there's a little glitch going on somewhere but.... Any suggestions would be appreciated  Smiley

v3.0.1 is mandatory, yes. Some clown hodled with an old date trying to cheat the system and it uncovered a bug in the code. This will explain why sync has been difficult for a few days. You can just install right over v3.0.0 and continue without any other changes.

I just ran into a dilemma and hope I can find some good advice.

At github for version 3.01 there are two Windows 64 bit options as in hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64-setup-unsigned.exe and hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64.zip

I downloaded hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64.zip and unzipped it only to realize there is no .exe install file in there for HOdl.

I then downloaded hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64-setup-unsigned.exe which does happen to be an .exe that installed version 3.0.1. Problem is my hash rate is cut in half and back to where it was in version 2.0. I setup the hodl.conf file with the optimization flags and then checked the debug log and everything is ok and yet still 1/2 half the hash rate.

It is as if the hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64-setup-unsigned.exe does not have the optimizations included and the hodlcoin-3.0.1-win64.zip has no .exe install file.

Am I missing something here and if not I'll be going back to V3.0 so I don't lose 1/2 my hashrate and I'll patiently wait for a 64 bit windows install .exe....

EDIT: Okay what I determined is that if you add optimineraes=1 and/or optimineravx2=1 to the hodl.conf file and then check the debug log it says it's reading the .conf file but then it goes ahead and ignores both the commands. I then tried adding these as parameters to the icon shortcut as in -optimineraes=1 and -optimineravx2=1 and now the debug log shows the commands are working properly.

No biggie but on V3 windows 64 bit if you want to get the full optimization and it doesn't work from the .conf file just add it to the path and you should be good to go Smiley

This latest Version 3.0.1 is actually a mandatory as if this was a hard fork right? Version 3.0 should continue to run and both 3.0 and 3.0.1 are both on the same current blockchain right?

Last question, we should be able to upgrade from v3.0 to v3.0.1 and not have to worry about replacing, resynching or messing with the blockchain we already have loaded right?

Thanks for the advice I just want to have a handle on things prior to doing the v3.0.1 wallet upgrade.

I did a transfer from an exchange to my wallet and it seems odd it's been a very long time as in 2 hours now and the transaction seems to be stuck with only 3 of the 10 confirmations.

Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Here are the transaction details:

I waited for the website to add the new wallet and I just downloaded it on Windows 10. I don't want the data directory on my SSD (c: drive) but I'm having an issue...

On the target path for the shortcut icon I added -datadir=d:\ecc\ecc and it still adds the data directory to the AppData/Roaming folder. I also tried adding datadir=d:\ecc\ecc to the .conf file and still no luck it keeps adding the data directory to the default location.

Any suggestions on how I can control the location of the data directory would be greatly appreciated  Smiley

on this  -zapwallettxes=1 subject  I have tryed this but keep getting   method not found  code32601 what am I doing wrong

@psyber is sounds like you are in the console and entering that command and that won't work...

If you're on windows create a shortcut icon to your wallet .exe file..

Then right click that icon and select properties...

You'll see a box called "target"

Depending on your install path it could look something like this...

D:\riecoin\riecoin-qt.exe

Now change that to something like this...

D:\riecoin\riecoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes=1

and click apply and click okay

now click that icon and launch the wallet and it will run that command...

Now you should probably redo the above steps and remove that -zapwallettxes=1 from the target since there is no reason to do it each time you launch the wallet...

Are the blockchain folders "blocks" and "chainstate"?

Yes as far as I know but to be safe here is how I did it.

  • I deleted everything except the wallet.dat file (in the data directory)
  • On the first PC I downloaded the entire blockchain from scratch
  • On subsequent PC's I deleted everything except the wallet.date file and then copied the blocks & chainstate folders from that first PC's download
  • Before I started the HOdl wallet for the first time I added -zapwallettxes=1 to the shortcut icon path

To add a bit more I'm not sure the -zapwallettxes was completely necessary but it served to clear those failed transactions from the transaction table. After the above steps my current block matched the block explorer and I'm able to mine, HOdl, send and receive with no more issues.

In the data directory I wasn't sure about the necessity of deleting the database folder, db text doc and peers.dat but I went ahead and deleted them to force the HOdl wallet to rebuild them from scratch. I had a concern there could be some issue stemming from keeping the database and I also had some concern if the peers.dat file would try to reconnect me to a Version 2 node that was connected at the Version 3 fork and never disconnected since the fork if that makes any sense.

I wanted to give an update on my observations this morning and see if I can get any feedback.

Yesterday I did the zapwallettxes=1 command and rebooted the PC and HOdl wallet.

After that transactions (sent coins) and mined coins and locked coins literally disappeared from the wallet however I was able to begin mining.

This morning I can see that I've mined blocks but a whole lot of weird stuff is going on for example...

If I send HOdl coin to an address it shows as being fully sent and confirmed from the sending wallet however it never arrives at the wallet I sent it to. Also, if I take the transaction ID from that send and search for it in the block explorer it doesn't exist and literally those sent coins have vanished.

On this same PC I did an experiment and I am able to HOdl coins for a term deposit but when I HOdl'ed just 1 coin it immediately produced a transaction for 49 coins or basically the balance of a block reward.

This same PC claims to be connected to 8 other nodes and oddly on the block explorer the IP shows up on the node list.

All of this is just mind blowing and it gives me the impression that there are different blockchains running for this coin and those are disconnected from each other.

What will be the end result of all of this and how long will it take to get sorted out?

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions from the forum members.

I think there are still nodes that haven't upgraded to v3 - and so are likely on a different chain. Make sure you're on v3 and try a re-index on all your clients.

@freetrade this is definitely on v3 but of course not on the latest since the binaries aren't released yet. When you say re-index the clients what is the best procedure to do that?

Update: Ok I did a -reindex and also a -rescan and no change whatsover. Do I need to delete everything except the wallet.dat, reinstall and start over or can I somehow delete the entire block chain and just reload that?

You might also be seeing this issue -
https://github.com/HOdlcoin/HOdlcoin/issues/63

DF, can you check the two nodes - see if they are both on the same block, and if the hashes of those blocks are the same, and if the nodes connected are primarily v3 nodes.

No sir I can't I deleted the blockchain folders and re-downloaded. After that I was able to send HOdl to Coinexchange.IO with no problems.

I can tell you that before I made changes earlier today these nodes were NOT on the same block number that was showing in the Fuzzbawls block explorer.

I have a suggestion although it may be far-fetched....

If a Version 2.0 was connected at the V3 fork and stayed connected it continued to mine blocks although I assume on a different blockchain.

Because that V2 node never disconnected and it was still connected to V3 nodes it corrupted their blockchains.

Crazy idea or what?

Oh yeah let me edit this and add one other odd observation. When I ran -reindex the problem persisted however when I deleted the blockchain folders and re-downloaded I was fixed.

Here is a record from the receiving node on the failed sending transactions:

Can anybody tell me if there is any difference between running the -reindex command vs. deleting the blockchain folders and re-downloading the entire chain?

Do both achieve exactly the same thing or what?

Is there a way to tell the wallet where to find some peers that are working?

It shouldn't be necessary but here is one option:

Go to http://www.fuzzbawls.pw/explore/HOdlcoin/network.php
Now scroll down on the left side and find /HOdlcoin:3.0.0/ and then click the Nodes button
A window will pop up listing a bunch of node IP addresses and you can record them

Now go to your HOdl coin wallet
At the top click on Help and then click on Debug Window
You get a new popup and click on the Console tab

When the Console opens enter the command shown below:
addnode 1.124.48.250 add

Repeat the process to add additional nodes as desired

Good Luck!

i don't remember now, but if i hold again my balance that is now free to be used, do i get the same interest as the last year? or it is reduced?, how much is the reduction? i don't if it's worth to do it agian i see the price is increasing, or by waiting another year i would lose the possible pump, very tricky

@ayers the interest rate was highest at coin launch and has been steadily dropping although it is still an excellent rate today by any standard.

Use this handy online calculator to quickly take a look at what interest you will get if you choose to HOdl your coins... http://hodlcoin.com/interest-rates/

I also mined about 800 coins over night and 400 on another pc and when I transferred they have come up conflicted also the new coins have vanished
do you suggest a hodlcoin-qt zapwallettxes=1 to remove invalid transactions and rescan?

Guys, I can confirm, that all issues with old unconfirmed transactions and any unsuccessful attempts of making new transaction were resolved by running "hodlcoin-qt -zapwallettxes=1".
Now everything seems to work just fine.

@ksmd thanks for the info and did you run that in the shortcut properties or .conf file or from a command line in the console?

I can put together a 32 bit windows binary .exe for testing if that would be helpful (I'm not set up for 64 bit builds), it would include the fixes for sorting, but would be unsuitable for mining.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-5Ax5kejTpMNDFUWGZNeGhnTVE

Here it is.

No good for mining, but you can use this to sort your HOdlings and run an empty wallet for your mining.

If you are having trouble with your wallet, I would suggest loading a copy of your wallet up on this version of the software.  It's missing the mining optimizations but between this and the regular 3.0 (which has always crashed and hung for me due to the number of hodlings I have in play) this unk version is stable and is showing all my transactions correctly.  The one machine I have that is using the regular 3.0 is missing all kinds of hodling and transfer transactions.

@wisebc I'm curious if you go to your transaction table and look at those failed transfers do you have an X in the far left column and when you mouse over it says "conflicted"
