241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really get the whole idea about digital currency (bitcoin) ??? on: July 19, 2018, 08:01:26 AM
After reading a lot of posts here on this forum, I realized that all what people talk about is;
Bitcoin is dying
When is it right to buy bitcoin
Bitcoin is an asset
Bitcoin is a bubble
Bitcoin is volatile and so many on.

I believe bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not all about buying and selling, whether it is an asset or it being a bubble or the volatile nature in the term of price value. Bitcoin is the revolution to the financial system of the world. It goes beyond buying and selling or investing it. Digital currency (bitcoin) is the improved version of the physical fiat system. We discussing on how bitcoin is revolving the world and future changes it will bring in the 5-10 years will help with the false misconceptions people have about cryptocurrency (bitcoin).
Yes, unfortunately that is the reality. Everyone are chasing some short term gains without any work/learning.

We can imagine it like this:
A lot of people here would rather talk about things you mentioned "Bitcoin is dying, When is it right to buy bitcoin, Bitcoin is an asset..." but noone would actually use it or spread the word about it. Not because he would earn but because it is better then FIAT system.

It would be like saying I like potato, potato is the best, buy potato and you wouldn't even eat it...

Sharon Michelle, a well known fortune teller in the US sees good things happening for DGB in the future. She can apparantly even predict the charts!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEBpSMco2fY&feature=youtu.be&t=872

That's amazing. Then we are all set for life. How can a fortune teller be wrong?  Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed

Hahaha Cheesy If she is going to get it right then everyone will praise her. If she will be wrong then everyone will be disappointed and forget about her very soon. What is a lesson we learned from this? Never stop trying. Wink
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 18, 2018, 05:33:45 PM
good increase in price for monero today
it seems that altcoins are rising today, maybe one of the reasons is the bitcoin price is also going up do you think monero will touch ATH this month?
i feel this month monero will be reach ATH Grin
Yes, probably biggest reason why alts are going up is due to BTC price raise. Just imagine how many BTC/alts pairs are there and you will quickly realize how crypto market works. At least nowadays.

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: July 16, 2018, 02:15:34 PM
Thanks for the answer!
That is, in any case it is necessary to have Satoshi on the balance sheet?

No problem, glad to help! Smiley
Yes, I think you need satoshis (= bitcoin) for any transactions with cards (similar as ether for Ethereum tokens). I am not sure about crystal transactions though.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 16, 2018, 12:47:31 PM
If my opinion people have very good feelings, it is with about the current situation. Since this is a speculation of threads I would like to know what will be the most bullish event for us to xmr in the future.

It's hard to tell... Check the news: https://www.monero.how/monero-news.
But I think most bullish event for XMR will be another bitcoin bubble, when BTC makes big moves also all altcoins do.
XMR was just added to Ledger, https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/8z2zz2/monero_has_successful_audit_of_their_bulletproofs/, new client... A lot of news but it doesn't reflect on it's price as much as other (company driven tokens/coins). Listen to this and you will understand it better (from 22 minute on): https://youtu.be/KqhRZfKRriU?t=21m58s.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: July 16, 2018, 12:32:12 PM
Here are the screenshots, but I do not understand what numbers to enter.
And I can not create a warrant for sale.

http://prntscr.com/k70v8x
http://prntscr.com/k70vd0
http://prntscr.com/k70vhu

I can help you with few tips, but you will have to give me more info on what exactly do you want.
And I found this website after 1 min of search: https://bitcrystals.com/documentation/ it is full of useful info so I suggest you check it out too.

If you want to send a card, you just click on card and press send. You type in number of cards you want to send (same kind of cards), scan QR code or type in address you want cards send to and send it. You have to have few satoshis in your wallet because the fees are paid in BTC. If I am not mistaken this also applies to creating market offer.
- Instructions with pictures: https://bitcrystals.com/documentation/send-an-asset-on-book-of-orbs-web-app/

When you want to create market offer you click on card, press market. Place custom order. Type in number of cards you want to buy/sell (availability means how many cards are there in existence, not how many you have http://prntscr.com/k71487). Then type the price in BCY for your buy/sell offer. Place your order and then confirm it. Then your order is placed. Someone has to accept your order to get trade done. So make sure you put realistic prices.

Just saw new logo for BCY while checking BoO. It is definitely better then previous one but I think this one could also be improved or maybe I just need to get used to it.
Did anyone already requested for logo change on CMC? https://coinmarketcap.com/request/ I can do it if someone send me .png logo link.
Also website is looking very nice, I like the fact that you are connecting with other games and making things like crystalcraft. Well done and I am looking forward to see what you are preparing for us in the future! Smiley
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: July 13, 2018, 08:24:07 AM
Installed the game, played, synchronized it with a purse IndieSquare Wallet.
I think you should use Book Of Orbs wallet. It is made for this and it works well. I guess you can also use IndieSquare wallet but it may be hard to operate with cards.

Quote
Someone sent me some maps, but how do I get them out?
You think cards? I don't have experience using IndieSquare wallet with SoG. But if you will use Book Of Orbs I promise you that you will be able to send them (cards) easily.

Quote
Play once, saw that the cards are traded in tokens on the Bitrex exchange.
Really? I know Bitcrystals are traded there, but cards?
Again, if you will use Book Of Orbs things will be easier, you can send/receive/trade cards there.

249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 13, 2018, 08:11:42 AM
if monero will be banned in all exchanges (because of regulation)
in that situation will monero die? or As long as it can be mined, stored it will not die?
Define "die".
I guess cryptocurrency die when it's development has stopped and there is noone using that currency. And I really doubt this could be the case in Monero, it will probably be used all the time. At least until it will hold n.1 (I think it does now) position among private cryptocurrencies. I think a cryptocurrency just needs one "exchange" where you can buy it for FIAT. This can also be a forum or any other type of communication channel where people who are interested in buying/selling crypto.
Similar website as LocalBitcoins - https://localmonero.co (just made for Monero, obviously).
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland is launching its national crypto-currency( E-franc) on: July 12, 2018, 08:20:40 AM
Good thing that they are in favor of cryptocurrency/blockchain, but we all know that a real cryptocurrency can't be national or made/controlled by government. It is conflict of interest.
Let's say that for example they really do make it (a real one- decentralized, opensource...). What would that mean?
It would probably not be very secure (a lot less then Bitcoin), since they would start from nothing and number of nodes would be low. If it would be secured from the start then it would be centralized, because they (government) would have majority of nodes/hash power...
They would encourage shops and other business to accept it. This would cause price increase, which would definitely bring attention from investors from all over the world. And here we have another bubble and I believe it would be a lot bigger then bitcoins bubble (in %). And all this price volatility definitely wouldn't help country's economy. If they would controlled it to avoid this then we are back to digital FIAT money...

So I don't think there will be any successful "national" cryptocurrency (as we know it today). But what I think is possible is that blockchain will help make things more transparent- but this would of course not be in interest of those who are profiting because of "cheap" money.

Switzerland hopes to become a true reference in the crypto-currencies sector and wants to become an indispensable hub for investors. It is for this reason that the authorities are currently working on implementing a regulation favourable to virtual currencies.

Switzerland is in favour of crypto-currencies and it intends to make it known to anyone who wants to hear it. In order to become a leader in the field, the country focuses on the future of digital currencies.
So much so that the federal government has just commissioned a study on the issues and relevance of the e-franc implementation.

This would be a state crypto-currency, of course supported by BlockChain technology.

Going forward please always post the link of the main article from where you got the news. It will work as a reference to the fellow members of the community and also increase the credibility of your post. However, since you didn't do that, let me do it on your behalf,

News source 1:
https://www.reuters.com/article/swiss-efranc/switzerland-seeks-study-of-state-backed-e-franc-cryptocurrency-idUSL5N1SO3BU

News source 2:
https://www.ccn.com/switzerland-government-calls-for-study-on-state-cryptocurrency-e-franc/

The matter is at a very nascent stage and nothing has been confirmed yet. The lower house of parliament has asked for a detailed study on it and based on that study, decision will be made. Also the crypto market will not be benefited even if Switzerland finally decides to launch it because it will just be a digital form of the government backed money. It will not help bitcoin or any other altcoins to recover their market cap. Not particularly cheering news!
Thank you! Smiley Just wanted to say something similar to OP.
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest place to withdraw BITCOIN? on: July 12, 2018, 08:04:12 AM
You can check https://localbitcoins.com/ if it suits you (it's a direct exchange with another person).
I think both Bitstamp and Kraken will do good as online exchanges. But you must "pay" with exposing of your personal data. Be careful about taxation and other legal stuff in your country.

You can also buy something with bitcoin, which is essentially even better if you need something.

You can also read this post - a lot of useful info. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/61s75o/rbitcoin_faq_newcomers_please_read/

BTW, I hope you aren't selling them with loss. You do understand that there is a high chance that we will go in another bull market in next few years.

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will other coin beat btc in future ??? on: July 06, 2018, 11:18:48 AM
They might, no body knows the future. Some great competitors are already out there but are less known then Bitcoin.
Exactly, nobody knows the future. But the fact is that utility is what gives real value and utility comes with users. And users are us - me and you. So it's entirely up to us which coin will be used in the future. But what I believe is that there will be many different coins for different purposes. I would say that with more currencies we have better/more decentralized system. I. e. if everyone are using 1 currency and if it would fail (bug in code or other technical difficulties, not price drop...) this would have great impact. But if there are 3, 5, 10 or 100 currencies we soften this effect.
So in my opinion BTC will remain a currency with biggest marketcap for at least several more years and will be used later as a store of value - digital gold. But other currencies might be used for different things.

And BTW, OP, transaction speed isn't everything you need to consider when evaluating currency.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the bull run of Bitcoin began? on: July 05, 2018, 03:58:37 PM
I guess it is just the beginning of the bull run. The much awaited bull trend has started after a very long bear market. Hope that is sustains for very long period.

What are your reasons for this statement?
I think people WANT bull run to start ASAP and that is why 90% are saying it has already started.
Price is not growing even for a week and everyone are already saying this is a start of a bull run... with this logic bull run already started few times already in this year. http://prntscr.com/k2y33y
I advise people to forget about the price - if you really believe in bitcoin then buy few satoshis every week regardless the price. And start using it and thus really giving value to bitcoin. After all if people aren't using it but just speculating, it is worth exactly 0$.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: July 05, 2018, 03:44:34 PM
great news for Monero lately! Can't wait to be able to create my own private token on top of Monero!
I don't think we are close to this so don't be too optimistic.

257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth buying bitcoin now ? on: July 03, 2018, 09:19:39 AM

Last few weeks I have been reading in the forum that Bitcoin is dead so is it really worthy to invest on Bitcoin

Learn about bitcoin, if you will understand how it works you will make decision a lot easier. Bitcoin was never hacked/compromised so I don't know the reason why wouldn't it be worth to buy few satoshis. Just learn to manage money and don't put too much in crypto, otherwise you will often experience heartache. Smiley

258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it pre-entry whales stage? on: July 03, 2018, 09:12:28 AM
i think so. these whales are using their tons of coins to cause panic and to lower the value of the crypto.
Most whales aren't even in crypto yet. In my opinion more regulation -> more whales (and more overall investments in cryptocurrenices).
Probably investors with money are waiting for crypto to get to a lower price so they have better entry point, but I wonder how low will it go.
