41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 17, 2017, 04:02:47 PM
Just another artificial pump. All of you just need to pray that those few  who are actually controlling the whole BTC market will not dump it all in the next few weeks.

When the dollar finally has its crashing part, these times will look like cheap times.
Argentina just got an exchange. A shit storm is a brewin...

Most of btc's early adopters are truth and liberty seeking folks.
Give them more credit...
Lol, do you really believe in this freedom and liberty shit?
Bitcoins were created by some very smart people, who most probably are controlling it right now. Who is using bitcoins in real life? Nobody. It is just an artificial medium for  cash laundry, for selling some useless hardware (miners) for very high price.
Many drug  and paedophile dealers are really pleased to have something like bitcoin, so they can do their stuff totally undercover.
That is it. Any mentally  healthy  person wouldnt build his business on BTC, any smart person will invest money in BTC  because it is controlled by few people, and you never know what will happen tomorrow: will they pump it? Or maybe sell everything and wave you bye bye?

2014 post - Love it when a plan comes together.

Neo needs to find a way to be compatible with Trezor and Ledger, that would make a world of difference for everyone! Hopefully the dev team realizes this Huh Either way, this is a great coin with a 3 digit price tag coming its way.

Ideally, yes. But, the current light wallet uses your Private Key to log in. A Hardware wallet can't help there. I think I read about them having 2 passwords or the like in the next version (unless I am confused with another token). Basically we would need a password log in with a Hardware Wallet, not a Private Key Login (quite dangerous due to key loggers, etc.)

Will NEO pass STRATIS today and even Monero and enter in top 10?

NEO is really interesting. It was hidden behind the scenes because it is in China of course and wasn't really available here. Interesting thing, I heard in a video today that it's been out since 2014 (or that is when they started it, forget) and in a way, the tech is superior to ETH's. Not a knock against ETH, I think anyone who comes out first, they get the advantage of first mover, but the strong disadvantage of trying to fix a car while it is running. Neo took more of their time, saw where ETH went wrong (e.g. one blockchain, speed, serious scaling issues, etc. ) and just improved (or plans to improve) on it.

If you just think about this coin, think of how the Chinese love to support their own stuff, and then look at the incredible tech (and to be fair in some cases tech to come as it is not a finished project yet, but the people behind it are worthy, well known and capable.) - you get something that can really explode. I'm not sure how it will stack up against EOS if EOS realizes its potential, but it probably isn't going to matter as this space is just exploding and China alone is enough to make something #1 or up there.

My "expectations" for NEO are huge, really. Imagine ETH at $12, and more for the Western World (back then), and now enter NEO for more of the world (just cause of where the space is now, with China behind it)....   Neo over $100 at some point this year would not at all surprise me. And if mainstream jumps on board, hedge funds, etc. this is going to give ETH a run imo.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 05, 2017, 06:33:58 PM
I cannot believe this coin is worth less than 1 Cent. There are so many other coins with no value, no inovation and no technology but have a greater market cap. Safex is way undervalued right now. It has great potential, once this chille blockchain is implemented this coin will explode and then every crypto youtuber will speak about it, but the price will be somewhere around 0.10 I hope.

Is this just my gut instinct that we could go up several hundred % up, maybe around1500 Satoshi, during August? Anyone else thinks the same? I just have that feeling that something is going on behind the scenes or someone knows something that we don't know. But maybe I am totally wrong... lol.

Great price right now,  just bought more for another 1 BTC at around 220 Satoshi. I am very confident in this one. It is still way under the radar of the big money. When it gets more attention it will take off. I want to be in the pol pole-position before this happens. I am now a millionaire. Well, only a Safex millionaire. lol

Right now is accumulating time before it explodes in the next weeks. There should be more discussion in this thread about Safex.

Well, that 1 cent sure changed in a short while. I came across this guys video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53ySmHotOvo
Think he mentioned it before as well. Really an interesting project. Lots of possibilities here and the market cap is tiny, wallet out in a few days.
He might be right, might be one of the best performing tokens this year, at least in this price range.

Seems like the core team is going to Japan to do a presentation. Could be interesting.

Getting more of the Asian community behind them is a great idea, because Japan and S. Korea have been gobbling this all up.
With the lack of confidence showing in Ethereum users, the timing is PERFECT. (Note - I like ETH, but they have some very serious growth issues. Again, perfect timing.)
All those ETH coming into NEO, is a very good sign. (Curious though, from whom...)

Do these 48 commits to PIVX with zerocoin, mean that the "zerocoin tech" will be implimented? And if so, when?

Curious, why would someone put in a 100BTC buy when they could just buy in a bit slower and get more bang for their buck? It isn't like something big came out. Look at the price now, they could have gotten a much better price.

Now, maybe it helps to start an uptrend so I'll say Thank You, but still...

But very nice news regarding those commits, looks like something VERY VERY special is on the horizon regarding zerocoin implementation.
Someone with loads of money and less time in hand is probably privy to some knowledfe which we are not aware yet.

Holding at a 20% rise from the pre-buy level, very nice.

Why is this good news, was Aeternity not involved? Looks like they were 1 of 3 involved below.

Hello fellow pivians,

I hold 370 pivx for quiet some time and I am wondering, can i stake my pivx in any way for some pivx rewards? I am pretty newb about this so go easy on me. Grin

I stake with 400 coins and get about 3 blocks per month.

The staking calculator shows that I should get one block per month, but because not everyone is staking their PIVX and therefore with a lower difficulty you can find blocks more often Wink

It sounds more like mining the way you describe it. Is that really what staking involves, "getting blocks"? I thought it was more a mathematical (not chance) based reward system.
Can someone jump in here?

afaik there is also some luck involved with staking. but i'm just a noder, maybe a stake pro can give a better answer  Wink

LOL, and for some reason, your "I'm just a noder" went through my head as "I'm a hip hop soldier". (LL Cool J! lol)
Anyway, I find it interesting how regular the payouts are (as long as I have a good connection). I won't crap on other coins, but another privacy stake coin I played with had so many false "stakes", most of them actually. A bit frustrating.

I'm curious to see how Pivx pans out. I know we all look at our coins in that way, quite often anyway, but PIVX is like a better Dash, in many many ways. More so than Litecoin is to Bitcoin. But speaking of which, BTC's price of 2590 vs. LTC's price of 50, is a 52:1 ratio (More psychological imo). Their market caps are 42.7 Bill vs 2.7 Bill respectively, a 16 to 1 ratio. (Yeah, different supplies, ages, float, etc. but a nice comparison for comparisons sake. Go further taking supply into account if you wish). Dash's price is 200 vs PIVX's 2.60, a 77:1 ratio (Big difference). But their market caps are 1.5 Billion to 140 Mill, respectively, which is a an 11:1 ratio (Much closer). 7.5 million vs 53 million supply though! (Dash being lower)

Aeternity is the fifth highest crowdfunded project. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_funded_crowdfunding_projects

Thanks for mentioning that. I wasn't aware that they had raised so much money, wow!
Will be interesting to see how the tokens do once they are released, I imagine within the next month or so.

What kind of program use for see this chart ?

When will you guys recognize that TA doesn't work for cryptocurrencies?

I will realize it when it stops working.  Wink

But, fair point, I would not trade Cryptos on pure TA, as there are variables that perhaps are not quite showing up. (e.g. - Our monetary system is melting down.)
That said, there are some great chartists on Youtube, like Aaron AG, "CryptoCurrency Analysis: Helping You To Profit" and Node Investor, and they do an EXTREMELY good job of making predictions, using different (yet mostly simple, outside of the EW guy) TA.

Aeternity Contribution Campaign Now Over!

23,584,319 CHF (might change due to late transactions)

Thank you all for the overwhelming support!

Here is the total amount of contributions from both - Phase 1 & Phase 2:

We will be publishing more information soon!

this should answer your question

Thanks for that. That is actually a fairly small number. If you use a price of $2.50, it gives a market cap of $566,972,525. That would put us at number 13 on https://coinmarketcap.com/
That seems quite high, but depending on what the technology brings, how the reception is, I can see that but in time. To start, being around $1, seems more fair.

Thanks again,
IAS

What is the maximum supply of AE? I can't seem to find that.

Here it says 139 million during phase 1 (ICO) and for phase two https://github.com/aeternity/testnet/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#what-is-the-circulating-supply-of-ae
redirects to vdramaliev on Reddit here https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeternity/comments/64z73r/will_there_have_the_cap_amount_of_aeon/ but I don't see an answer.

I'm looking into the pre-public value of the trades in order to calculate possible market caps. Currently $2.50 per token but with most pre-sale prices, I'm sure that is way high.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 02, 2017, 05:26:46 PM
Update - Coins arrived in my account. I am a bit confused by the result of https://xmrchain.net/ as it seemed like nothing should be there. (If I understand things correctly).
It is a great service having MyMonero, but I am looking forward to Ledger support - but at the cost of anonymity (I think). Anyway, you can always use ledger as your cold storage and then transfer a bit to MyMonero and use it as your hard wallet.

I transferred a few coins out of Bittrex, didn't use any Payment ID or the like as MyMonero only gives you the deposit address (and that was a copy and paste) - so I don't think I made a mistake but 3 4 hours or so to get in, is a bit worrisome. Don't really have much more info to give.

Thanks for your time dEBRUYNE, appreciated. These coins have really appreciated - a bit scary to have them "disappear" for a bit...
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 02, 2017, 02:01:36 PM
Hi everyone,

Is everything ok with MyMonero? There was a transaction sent around 45 minutes ago and it is not showing up in the wallet, though the Tx is on http://www.chainradar.com/xmr.
I know it often lags, but not usually this long.
Thanks in advance.

ps - Any update on Ledger Wallet integrating XMR?

Around 2 hours now and nothing in MyMonero. Anyone know what is going on?
It is hard to know from the block explorer as it masks amounts, but I see 0 fee and 0 coins transmitted with the tx id. (chain radar)

Thx

IAS

It might be MyMonero related, you can perform the following steps to verify whether the funds actually arrived at your address.

[1] Go to this blockchain explorer:

https://xmrchain.net/

Note that it's run by trusted community members (gingeropolous and Snipa).

[2] Enter your transaction ID / hash into the search bar.

[3] It should now go to a separate page with details about your transaction. On that page, search for "Decode outputs".

[4] Enter your Monero address and your private viewkey.

[5] Now click on "Decode outputs".

[6] It should now show you the exact amount that you sent to your address.

Thanks for the help. I did as you said. I notice "Timestamp [UCT]: 2017-06-02 09:52:59   Age [y:d:h:m:s]: 00:000:04:00:59   Fee: 0.015414880000   Tx size: 12.9453 kB"
and it says under "amount" - "?"
and under "amount match" - "false"

Does this mean the XMR were not transferred? (Was from Bittrex btw).

Thanks for the help (I must say it is interesting using this tool - I had wondered how to check for this before.)

edit - Missed this "Sum XMR from matched outputs (i.e., incoming XMR): 0.000000000000"

I transferred some Waves to my Waves Chrome wallet. They appeared and then the whole transaction was gone. I'm not very worried, but is there a problem on the network? I notice I can't search for the tx or address on http://wavesexplorer.com/

Thx in advance

Use this explorer to check http://www.wavesgo.com/

Thanks, interesting, I'm not seeing the transaction there (not via the txid nor the address.)
I'll open a ticket with the exchange. Thanks!
(Just checking if everything was ok with the network.)
