I think it will not happen in this year but we dont know what will happen after halving ends. So  i think there still possibility that the price will rise after halving? Im not sure if it is true according to trader outside..
Im still collecting some bitcoins to save and wait for halving ends..

If shit coins follow the pattern of 2013-2014, should also go up shortly after BTC and reach peak shortly after BTC has peaked and began to fall.

;)It is entirely possible to have instant hit to $ 1200 - $ 1300, but the daily chart does not report them later, as now do not account for 2012-2013.

By the way, especially for LTC should not exclude other scenarios. After reaching BTC to the level to which it is heading, LTC goes to the ratio BTC / LTC before halving of LTC (June to July 2015).

back when this topic was started bitcoin price was so low and in that time if the price could have gone up to $1200-$1300 then i would have sold my bitcoins despite the fact that i am a BitcoinHodler Smiley

but right now since the rise is slowly reaching $1200+ i would never sell anything and will continue waiting

Some of the lower predictions have already been proven way wrong. We have wind in our sails now!

Bitcoin $748.94 USD   11,732,000,000 USD   15,665,000   673,790,000 USD   + 7.54 %

The bitcoin price has risen very fast. It is much faster than I expected a month ago. I thought the price would be about $600 now.
\I agree. The pace of this rise is simply too fast to make it sustainable over the longer term. That is sad, but it may actually mean we end up with the elevator down, as soon as halving happens.

Nope, 789 was the top for this bubble. We're stuck at 750, can't seem to break past 780 and stay there awhile. There's no hope for btc.

It is good to stop for a while to cool down the technical indicators. We were already for some time in the overbought territory. It would be good to regroup before resuming the rise.

First of all this isn't a bubble. $880 would be about fair value after the halving (considering recent price stability), but there are many other factors involved in the current price. Most of them are more relevant that the halving when it comes to long term BTC value. I think this rally is far from over...

Yeah 1300 is really high to expect at this stage, but very much sure that $800 will be touched in next couple of days and we will see this price before the stage of halving.

i think after the halving it should be over 1000 cause mining is otherwise to expensive.

1000 usd is not too high now, we will surely see this price at the time of halving and for me that is the best price to sell my coins and secure the profits.

Don't sell your coins even at 1000, as we will see new ATH which will be above 1200, so selling them for 1000 will be like losing a chance to get a bigger piece of the cake. There are some big talks behind the scenes.

I don't see it happening we reach it at the time of the halving, but perhaps a new end year's rally will bring the price up to 1000 dollar.
But for the current moment, I am holding. Even if the price retracts to 500 dollar, the longer term outlook for bitcoin is very positive.

Maybe even 1400 in 1 year.

One year is a long time in crypto. Would you tell one year ago, with the sentiment at the bottom low, that the price will triple in the next year?
I bet not many would. Same from here, we may see further rise (less probable) as well as the movement in the opposite direction.

the price will eventually drop again (but probably not below $1000) but I think we have quite some bull market left before we drop.

at least a few weeks. And we might see a second even bigger bull market a few months later.

If Btc crosses $1000 it will hit the news hard again, $5k+, maybe a lot higher - current levels to become a memory. Presently, the avg person still has no idea btc exists.
The top could be a LOT higher than $1300, because all the doubters last time called it nothing more than a tulip/beanie baby-like craze - a second time up would prove btc is more than that.

We are seeing a little bit of a pullback right now. Probably a good thing, since these are always the weak hands taking early profit. I expect we will rally even harder as we close in on the halving.
