Has anyone found a solution to Request Entity Too Large problem or BB and CC ASIC status?

Hello,

I tried to update the firmware to fix the "BB' problem on chain#13 (like suggested by bitmain support), result: it change nothing, I still have the "BB" status.

To fix the "Request Entity Too Large problem" problem when upload firmware on web insterface:

Connect in SSH to miner, and add on /etc/lighttpd.conf:
Quote
server.max-request-size = 1000000
server.network-backend = "writev"
server.upload-dirs=("/mnt/tmp")

Commands:
Code:
$ ssh root@192.168.0.XXX
$ echo 'server.max-request-size = 1000000' >> /etc/lighttpd.conf
$ echo 'server.network-backend = "writev"' >> /etc/lighttpd.conf
$ echo 'server.upload-dirs=("/mnt/tmp")' >> /etc/lighttpd.conf

I have an E3 on nanopool, its mining fine (showing right calculated hash rate) but the reported hash rate is zero, does anyone know why this is?

Thanks

There seems to be a new firmware file. Did anyone try it? Or is it the same old one but renamed and without comments on the Bitmain page?

3 chains gone here as well.

Followed all instructions provided by the Bitmain Support page to upgrade to latest firmware with SD flashing, but i wasn't able to flash the E3 somehow even i made it step by step as suggested.

Can someone that managed the flashing through SD card make a guide/tutorial step by step? Pretty sure the Bitmain guide misses something or it would have worked out, not?

Thx in advance.

It just does not work. Even Bitmain said, it does not work. The E3 was the worst miner so far.

So nobody managed to flash the SD card so far? Seriously?
I have flashed from SD yesterday.
1.Unzip and copy T9+ firmware fails to SD. https://file11.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/t9%2B%20-SD%20Tools.zip
2. Insert SD and move jumper.
3. Switch miner on and wait 30 sec till blinking of both status lights simultaneously.
4. Power miner off, remove SD and move jumper to its original location.
Now you have fully functional T9+ control board which can be flashed by the E3 firmware.
5. Download E3 Firmware : https://file11.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/Antminer%20E3/Firmware/0072018071812344880187tM1RPd0668/Antminer-E3-20180806.tar.gz
6. Power miner up.
7. In Upgrade page select downloaded E3 firmware for flashing, uncheck "Keep settings" checkbox and flash firmware.

I’ve recently had the dreaded “socket error: connection refused” error. I’ve tried everything, finally got a board from eBay that already has the T9+ firmware on it. I can’t get it to flash to the E3’s. I’ve tried this and the new version, but I keep getting an error saying “cannot find signature”. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Some E3's can be difficult to flash, use a 2gb micro sd card formatted to FAT32 and extract the firmware onto the root of the micro sd card, move jumper over as-per bitmain instructions.

But to be honest, its not really worth your time, the e3's no longer mine ETC and ETH days are numbers, any other mine able coin has no profit unless you have free power

Honestly?

there is a file located located in root called "core" which I am told is just a core dump file and taking up a ton of space which is preventing the firmware update from installing, I just ssh to the miner, locate the file in "/" and remove it with "rm core" then exit and run the firmware upgrade from the web gui without issue, it was really easy.
