Hey OP, can we add PayPal to the list? They have screwed so many bitcoiners. They burned me pretty bad. I still have not bounced back.

Granted it would be people using PayPal who actually scam, but the fact that PayPal sides with the scammer in spite of solid proof, make them accomplices.

Please accept my apologies for denying your request for hopefully obvious reasons. Thanks your input nonetheless, bud.

I think Paypal and Bitcoin has come in to terms with Bitpay. What do you think?

I think I'll make that stretch on the official website. Meanwhile, I'm going to link this post in the OP below the fold to make sure of its inclusion.

Requesting a little backstory, bud.

Well, this guy, pretty controversial, is operating a sort of dematerialized exchange (MPEx) via IRC.
Im not sure he actually has steal anything from anyone, the entry price being so high, you wouldnt play dumb after.
Instead, he frequently funded projects such as bitcoin gambling website: just-dice.
Plus, he told SEC to get lost..
The people evolving around him on #bitcoin-asset are also quite interesting in regard to their bitcoin conception.
His alias account here on bitcointalk MPOE-PR was banned but he reminded me of you somehow, spotting scams (ie errthing in here) but with less tact i'd say. ^^

Some people hate him other dont, personally, i think he is neither good or bad, he would screw you if you're too stupid to fall for it and would respect you otherwise.
Imho you'd have to create a dedicated grey section for the dude.. like he'd be sort of the ruler of bitcoin's no-man's-land.. Grin

PS: and he allegedly controls over 700k BTC.

I think I'll go visit all of their homes...

This is an excellent idea, albeit not what you may have envisioned, but one I expect to fully implement via bumper stickers.

Generic bumper stickers consisting of appropriate verbiage affixed to homes or places of business by those embracing this ideal that live nearby willing to take the über-minor risk of performing such act of kindness.

Perhaps, some will take a pic after the fact so that said sticker affixed near an address would be uploaded on the official website. The bumper stickers will be shipped free of charge to those expressing an interest in participating and reside nearby to naughties, accompanied with a coupon code(s) to be used for future purchases from non-naughty crypto-coiners as payment for their gallant efforts.

Zhou Thong
Nefario,  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115669.0

If you want to kick-start something like that you need to do more than just naming names.

Fuck, you're missing about 80% of suspected nefarious people and about half of your list is aiming at the wrong people.

Not everyone at Hashfast were scammers but damn ! start there before listing Patrick Murck as nefarious.

Can you provide some info ?

Got my Honey from Bees Brothers, holy shit! Hands down the best honey I've ever had. They threw in a sample of their honey caramels and they were fantastic too. I poped some of that honey into my pancake mix and it was perfect. I highly recommend them.

Don't donate me: donate to nmc re-base development project.

i'd also consider coindesk for they promote lots of scams and seem to be paid to do so, besides some pretty poor articles about bitcoin in general, spreading fud and nonsens.

It may be safer to leave out the "Good Guys" list; they may turn out to be Bad Guys eventually.  (Whereas a once Bad Guy is better assumed to stay Bad Guy for a looong time -- see BFL, Danny Brewster, Mark Karpelès...)

Have you seen this video?  That favor to good friend and neighbor Karpelès may have convinced many people to keep their coins in MtGOX...

"Lyke de Vries" should be removed while the identity od SlOK is not confirmed.  Just list him as "SLoK" for now?

Academic interest in bitcoin only. Not owner, not trader, very skeptical of its longterm success.

You can put TradeFortress on there as well, probably just a link to his profile will do the trick.
Ok..
