Spurs can win games in Wemby's absence, okay. But is this sustainable for them you think? Honestly I don't feel so. They even struggled against Pelicans man... This isn't a good sign for the long term.
Maybe they can qualify for playoffs somehow but they will still need him after regular season to be able to do something notable. Wemby played in only 12 games until now. It's likely to be 13 games also as his condition for the Lakers game is doubtful.
They need him for sure, and similar to what you said they are struggling though still managed to win games, but it would be big difference when playing against super teams, maybe they can achieved reaching playoffs but without wemby they might end that quest much earlier, the team needs his presence, we know his contributions both offense and defense he really can bring big impact and together with his core teammates they've got better chance winning games together. Wemby is the heart of the team if he plays well the team wins, its not that they always need him to win but the chances of winning without him is thin, he's contribution in the team is so vital in offense and defense without him inside the court opponent players are not hesitating, but if he is inside they are settling outside which sometimes wemby can even block them, that's how good wemby is, but if he is going to do everything sooner or later he will be like Davis.

Exactly, Wemby is much needed in the playoffs. Without him on the court, they will not go deeper in the playoffs. They can be a playoff team without Wemby, but for them to have a better chance, they need him. It’s best if they don’t force him and prioritize his health. Limit his playing time for now. Their goal should be to at least make the playoffs, and that seems achievable even without him. Don’t mind the NBA Cup for now.

They need to use their other players, they cannot put everything on wembys back, someone needs to step up, they need a robin at the moment, someone who can just give them a glimmer of hope while Wemby is resting and healing, i've heard news that they are telling wemby needed to pass the ball, their motive is to win no matter what they should focus on winning, and he's not holding the ball, its just that there is no clear path to pass i think, those small things should be let go, concentrate winning, not whining.

What’s the real status of his calf anyway? Is he even expected to return this season? If yes, then I still think they can sneak into the playoffs as long as they don’t tank and they keep a decent standing. With Wemby coming back next year fully healthy, the Spurs should still be a very competitive team. I’ve seen some reports saying there’s no timetable for his return, but I’m hopeful he comes back once he’s fully cleared and not being rushed. https://www.foxsports.com/nba/victor-wembanyama-player

Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis, another former NBA champion, is expected to be a critical trade target of several teams, including many of the East's contenders. The Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors are expected to be suitors for Davis, league sources told ESPN. The Mavs definitely need to trade some of them. They are now a heavily injury-prone team, and that's not good for their franchise. Most stars are benched or out due to injuries, and if I were a Dallas fan, I would not even buy a ticket to watch their game. They made a wrong decision by letting Doncic go. It's time to make things right. If Finley does the right thing, he might become their next GM. The Mavs has just destroyed other team's roster but this is just business for them. I agree that if they want to go on, they have to let go of some of their players like AD. And by destroying other team's roster, they've simply destructed theirs removing the main guy of theirs, Luka. What a way to waste this season when everyone has expected that Niko was right but then he's got fired for doing all of these waste of money of the management. I feel bad that when Dallas went to the finals, I have watched all of their games until the end even it's not for them.

It's hard to see them go further without Wemby. Wemby is needed by the Spurs for most of the important games for them to reach the playoffs and the finals. That's why he needs to be conditioned very well and if not, it's a huge loss for the Spurs. They can still play without him, yes but it's always been different if they have the big man on their side.
Even with Wembey, the San Antonio Spurs still find it difficult to advance to the NBA finals this season. In the Western Conference, the Spurs' region, there are still many strong teams capable of defeating the Spurs, such as the Oklahoma City Thunder, the defending champions or last season's champions, whose performance this season remains consistent and good. Up to now, the Thunder are still at the top of the Western Conference standings with a win-loss record of 23-1, the best in the NBA. Their only loss this season was a narrow one-point defeat, 121-119, against the Portland Trail Blazers, and that was an away game in Portland. So it can be said that the Spurs have a very hard time advancing to the NBA finals this season, even if Wembey is ready and not injured.

OKC is on a different level, they've been together for how many seasons and that built the team. Every team I think is capable of doing that, we're seeing how strong the Cavs last season but they didn't make it. It really depends on how they can make their roster comfortable to each other and that's what the OKC has got. Spurs is still on development with that but we've seen that from the first year with Wemby, didn't do good but on the second, they had some good development.

Everything still says “no timetable for his return,” which isn’t a good sign. And even if he says he feels fine, they’re still going to evaluate him multiple times. Wemby is the prized player of the team, the best they have, so they won’t risk playing him unless he’s 100% recovered. They’re protecting his long-term value too. You can clearly see how much better the Spurs look when he’s healthy. They’re starting to look like a young OKC type of team. Give them a few years and they’ll be a consistent playoff contender, especially now that Fox is back and still playing like usual.

I can agree to that as OKC, Denver, Lakers and Houston are those teams to beat in the west side but with Wemby the chance of winning is far better than playing without him, his presence will bring huge impact in improving their chance to win, not saying that they can go along and win a title or be on the finals, but we never know what may happen along the way as Spurs continue to improves and with those young stars who really showing competitiveness we might see them bringing back the old championship contender squad. What’s the real status of his calf anyway?

Just need to have that confidence back and how they blend their chemistries, no need to rush him with good rest he might be able to maximize his time playing when he's really available and healthy enough to help his team either before the playoffs or even if it's already playoff season, they need him but better to have him in his best healthy status.

They don't want to lose but I think they are tanking for the draft picks, some teams are doing this to give them higher odds in the drafts, I don't think they are the worse team, maybe they are trying to lose, just like what the wizards are doing, they just don't want to make things obvious because they will be investigated, and also they should now move Zion into the trade blocks its going nowhere they had spend a lot for this guy and still no returns.
Yeah, tanking is a smart move if you know what you are doing. OKC is the best team in the league right now, people even argue if they could actually break the record for most wins in a season, how did they get here? They grabbed bunch of draft picks all years long and tanked for many seasons and were horrible. That in return gave them some great players now and they can play, most of the players they have are players either they drafted, or traded them in in exchange of their drafting rights, so getting those picks are valuable.

That in return gave them some great players now and they can play, most of the players they have are players either they drafted, or traded them in in exchange of their drafting rights, so getting those picks are valuable. OKC draft picks and line up was great, They had Durant, Westbrook, harden and Ibaka before they drafter Steven Adams. After this, they hinde in silence but the break came when the Clippers get Paul George from them. That was a hell of a trade. In July 2019, the Clippers made a blockbuster move to acquire superstar Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder. To get him, they had to pay a steep price. The Clippers traded Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari to OKC, but the haul didn’t stop there. They also gave up a handful of future picks: first-rounders in 2021, 2022, 2023 (protected), 2024, and 2026, along with first-round pick swaps in 2023 and 2025. That’s seven first-round picks or pick swaps, along with two productive players, just to land George.
We all know that Paul George is a good player, A star player but very FRAGILE due to his previous injury.

Do you think their starting 5 not playing together all season have an impact in the playoffs in terms of chemistry?

Who says they are not gonna play together all season. Only a quarter of the season has been played so there is plenty left. Also, they already have chemistry since it's basically the same team as last season, there won't be an issue with that, I am sure! As the missing players have showed, they don't need the full team to dominate. They always miss guys here and there and still they are steamrolling through the competition at the moment.

I agree, as we've seen them playing even without the core players they still play the same, the system works well for them and most of the time SGA don't need to play that much he can be rest and whoever players that will replace him play the same role and they are managing to win games, they might be more dealy once the complete core players are playing healthy and with the way coach blend each players the chemistries among them are being established.

A lot of trade talk going around the league right now. 3 big trades appear to be in the works, all unrelated to each other. The Grizzlies want to trade Ja Morant. The Mavs want to trade Anthony Davis. The Bucks want to trade Giannis. We might see all of these players in new jerseys by Christmas time.
