I think it is more appropriate to say as a Digital mine because the mined not only gold but diamonds and coal as well, and I think Bitcoin and another Cryptocurrency are more valuable than gold and other real minerals  |

yes of course bitcoin is a digital currency like gold because bitcoin for now is the best cryptocurrency currency and can be used for all countries and can benefit from bitcoin so make the movement of trading volume of bitcoin is very big.
Being the best cryptocurrency does not constitute that it is equated to gold. They may have similar aspects but gold is indispensable. Unlike bitcoin, gold has been existing ever since time immemorial. Countries transact golds and view it as a legal process of payment. Its tangible natire and expensive price make it an investment tool for futute perspective. Though much has been said, bitcoin cannot be a currency yet as it has to conform with the requisities. Some countries prohibit the use of such despite having positive economic benefits. |

I think so, because now bitcoin is less used to transfer coins, but more as a means of accumulating values, like gold in our world!

I do believe it is equivalent to gold. If only it is not so volatile it could have been gold's counterpart. The volatility of bitcoin is greater which causes the big difference between the two not considering that it is digital while the other one is physical.

We have all different opinion about this topic, comparing bitcoin to a good as a digital gold. For me I some aspect bitcoin can be a digital gold, a precious digital curenccy that have many characteristics to earn money.

The billionaire venture capitalist is doubling down on BTC, likening the digital coin to gold’s online equal.
Thiel touts the No. 1 cryptocurrency for its size and its ability to compete with gold as a safe haven, saying at the Economic Club of New York:
“I would be long bitcoin, and neutral to skeptical of just about everything else at this point with a few possible exceptions. There will be one online equivalent to gold, and the one you’d bet on would be the biggest,” said Thiel.
But with the exception of a few digital coins, Thiel remains neutral on the rest of the cryptocurrency pack. He didn’t dismiss the possibility that bitcoin could be surpassed by Ethereum or other altcoins that prey on the leading cryptocurrency’s weaknesses, but bitcoin’s strength is in its size.
Bitcoin controls more than 40% of cryptocurrency market cap compared to almost one-fifth for Ethereum, as per Coin Market Cap data cited in CNBC.

Well it can be something close to that, its the most valuable cryptocurrency at the moment and its value keeps soaring as days go by, BTC's use has continued to rise, increasing its market cap to relatively high levels keeping its prices high in the process, if it continues to develop at this rate then there will be no stopping BTC

It is right Bitcoin is now every one take it like gold and hold it for long time same like gold holders are doing. so we can say it the digital gold for new generation and in my opinion now Bitcoin is more popular than gold, gold investment is more than bitcoin because world wide all govt have big reserves in gold like China,India,USA,Russia have invested in gold and when these govt's not individual investor will invest in Bitcoin then Bitcoin price will uncontrolled.
