Hardware wallets are definitely recommended. We all need to take especially good care of our holdings. Too many scams and malware around, and more will come as Crypto becomes more mainstream. Be careful!
why must the bitcoin hardware to secure the wallet do not have to be and many ways to use Google Authenticator and other applications easily and can be used more easily

For me this is waste of money - a cold wallet. If you have less than 20 Bitcoins then why do you need to buy a cold wallet? Enough two-factor authentication and proper storage of your keys

Everyday I come on here and read a sad story about someone getting hacked and losing their Bitcoin / Ethereum.  I hate reading them but its like a car accident on the side of the road, you can't help but look.  Once you read the story it's clear that it could have been avoid had the user used a hardware wallet.  I dont have alot of Bitcoin or Ethereum but I recently purchased my own hardware wallet to keep them secure, I strongly suggest others in my situation (less than 1BTC total invested) to go out and buy a hardware wallet.  Right now.

Why do small fries need a hardware wallet?
We are the most vulnerable because we are less experienced.  Most of us haven't experienced losing coins yet, either directly or through a friend.  We probably download shit we shouldn't, left our private keys in some email we sent (I haven't done this but I could see myself doing something this stupid when I first started) and probably leave our desktop wallets open a bit too long.  The small fries are vulnerable so we need to protect our investments.

What is a hardware wallet
Its a devise that essentially stores your private key on it so you can't be keylogged and requires you input a password onto it, not your computer, before unlocking the wallet AND withdrawing any coins.  Its safe, its secure and only the person with possession of the hardware wallet can withdraw funds (at least I've been told no one has legitimately hacked a hardware wallet without possession of it).  It's easy to use. When you use a Ledger Nano S and activate it, the devise presents you with a private passphrase that does not show up on your computer.  You write down the pass phrases, by hand (do not type it out, take a photograph, or anyhing of the like), and if you lose or break your hardware wallet you can buy another and gain access to it with the private passphrases.  If you are really concerned about the passphrase being lost, buy a fireproof, waterproof safe and ziplock your private passphrase (waterproof safes are known to trap condensation which gets things wet - wet paper with pen = lost writing) so its airtight and lock it up.  Its really secure so long as you keep the pass phrase safe.

KeepKey - https://www.amazon.com/KeepKey-Simple-Cryptocurrency-Hardware-Wallet/dp/B0143M2A5S/
Trezor - https://www.amazon.com/Satoshi-Labs-bitcoin-wallet-white/dp/B00P5HU80A/

I have all my valuable crypto, that's currently supported, on my Ledger.  My Bitcoin, Ethereum and you can bet your ass once Deep Onion is supported it will be safely secured on there too.  The Ledger is easy to use and the instructions are crystal clear.  At less than $80, there is no reason not to protect your investment.  Even if you only have $250 in BTC/ETH, you will buy more so you might as well buy one of these now.

I don't want to read another story about someone getting robbed of their Bitcoin and I want our community to flourish.  Secure your coins!

Nice advice, And for those who cannot afford the external wallet for the main time should be very careful with the way they keep their private keys till you get one for yourself to keep your crypto coins safe. Its so painful to loss your fund to those who never laboured for it. you can also used 2Factor authentificator to back up for maximum security of your funds.

This good and nice promoting hardware wallet and I am very agree on this because hardware wallet was to secure your coins to those hacker because hardware wallet was a offline wallet and never been track or open online of those hacker and it is better than online wallet because it is easy to hack and even you have private key or password they can hack it because it is in online. So that hardware  wallet was most idea for storage of coins.

A hardware wallet is an excellent idea, and it will keep your cryptocurrency safe in case of fire, theft or electrical outage. I move all Bitcoins purchased from exchanges into either my paper wallet or KeepKey.

If you want to be even more secure consider moving your Bitcoins into your IRA or 401k as well.

having a hardware wallet can give you much more SECURITY rather than storing it on your wallets from these websites or application,
Yeah this is why hardware wallet was been introduce. The only problem with hardware wallet is that it is not for free and you have to buy it online as OP suggested. This is why starters will tend to use or store their bitcoin on websites like exchanges or application that could be vulnerable to hacking activities.

of  course hardware wallet are not free because the inventors of those wallets do take a lot of time to develop it , they also buy those cases and hardwares

. imo , hardware wallet is more of a collection item for a crypto hobyist  but if you think that you are already contented on the classic online wallets , then theres no need for you to upgrade on hardware one's as they will only cost more of your budget .

I'm planning to invest big in cryptos probably next year. For maximum security, i think is a far better option. I gonna delve much into this when I'm I have. Thanks for the share bud!

yes , hardware wallets are more suitable for big time investors like you as they can give you more extra security  . still , you might want to look for the best possible option because there are also fake or cloned hardware wallets these days .

We need to secure and protect our assets and money from hackers who are always looking to steal our profits and information. So we should buy hardware wallet to make securing our assets. Trezor and Ledger nano s is well known in the market for hardware wallet so far I know so will buy one of them for protection.
Aside from hardware wallet, we could use open source wallet. As long as we could verify the funds through public code, we could assure that our funds are well safe and fix any potential vulnerabilities that will arise. Open source wallet like Hodler wallet give us tge private key and we do not need and trusted third party anymore. Knowing that we have full control of our funds without any intervention of any one, we are sure that our funds are safe same way as hardware wallet offers.

Totally agree with you.
You reported all information that each one has to know to chose using an hardware wallet.
Thanks
Never heard of HodLER wallet, thank you for the information. So far, I like it and didn't encountered any problem. Its good that I can store all the coins I prefer. Look like its just new, this will be for sure be big in the future, we need this kind of wallet.

Its so risky to buy hardware wallets in Amazon, Ebay. Why not buy from hardware wallets own sites. I heard theres a guy who lost all his crypto money when he tried to put his crypto from a tampered hardware wallet. The mafia behind this crime are stealing crypto from their hundred victims

wherever you buy it, make sure it's still properly sealed and I think security is still 100%, but indeed it's best to order on every official website. Hardwallet is the most important choice for large nominal storage and we must be aware of this. so far there have been no hardwallet cases that arise because of system loopholes, they have a high level of security with an effective maintenance system.
