Indeed we are. Then we're going to pump the price up to $1500 Tongue
If you are waiting for it to go down to 100$ then what can make it pump to 15x times it's price ? When the coin collapses the market would be to get out anything or as high as possible from their holds, doesn't matters how much it is worth.

I'm sorry to say, but you will not see a $100 price ever again. You should have bought it at $200. From now on you will only see its value go up!

You are so right. The lowest we have seen in the last couple of years was 200 USD. That's a new low from a year ago, these days i think the new low is around 300 USD
I could be wrong by ~ 30 USD

No, the lowest it went was ~$180 on BTC-e...
There were huge dumps but then it stabilized at $200 back, and then never went below...
The new low I think must be $350 and not $300, the lines on the charts suggest the same...

I think the new low is around $200-300. The cost of mining has risen a lot, not many people will mine the coin if the price is too low.

But dumps have nothing to do with mining, unless miners themselves dump their coins and get out completely...
So, Bitcoin's value is not directly correlated to mining expenses, and small miners may get out, but there are big farms which won't shut down, so no worries if the network may lose some miners who feel unsafe in terms of price...

New low?
We had been in this range for almost the whole entire year!
I really doubt we will see these low again, especially now where we are going to improve block efficiency with SW and halving coming in august.

more like 400, since there was no dump under this value at present, don't be fooled by the 470-420 drop, it was expected because 470 is a new territory, need plenty of consolidation, like it happened for 200-300 range

i like that we are increasing slowly, the 1200-230 drop will not be seen again this time

We? I am not waiting for the price to reach $100. Wink I am realistic enough to know that it won't happen, so I am not wasting time waiting for it. I just focus on the next targets $500 and $600 in 2016.

This is an old thread, I'm sure these days op would think twice before wishing for the price to go back to $100. Bitcoin is starting to pick up steam worldwide, something would have to go drastically wrong for us to see $100 and I'm pretty sure nobody really wants that.
Having said that, if it were to ever dip that low again, depending of the circumstances I might pick up a few coins  Smiley

Let's cut the crap. Most of us are just waiting for Bitcoin to finally hit $100 to buy a huge quantity. Am I right or talking out my ass?

I cant see this ever happening. sorry
indeed to now have not seen, but it will probably happen like that, if the bitcoin capacity has been exceeded, but that's just my parable me  Smiley

It will never go that low in the future and we don't want that it should fall to that level or else it would loose all its goodwill and the price of bitcoins will keep on increasing in coming months and it would be more stable when the adoption level goes higher but I really don't think that it will reach to $100 level.

I feel the same. Bitcoin halving gonna happen so we can’t seethe bitcoin price as low in future. If that kind of activity Its not worth for using bitcoin and adaption and then halving.I sure we see better value than current price in future.

No probability at all, the lowest I guess might be $250 and it won't get lower than this ever, the only thing that might get you to $100 will be if Satoshi ever decides to dump all his coins and get out of Bitcoins, and that's never going to happen... Wink

Lol yes i would buy for sure when the price went to 100 USD but there is really no chance of this happening.
The lowest i've seen was 200 USD (average) and 180 USD on bitstamp.

I would buy many bitcoins if the price would reach 100 dollar, but we all know now, this is not going to happen.
But settling for 200 dollar seems to be a good deal too.

thats right we wont see $100/btc anymore. impossible for now
many users in bitcoin, market demand so much when prices began to fall will be immediately closed by the demand to buy

Well, maybe it will take a very very long time to see bitcoin price to 100 $ / BTC, probably at the time bitcoin no longer be one of the important things that are on the internet

It is worth waiting for a "realistic" low. $100 may be realistic, but in my opinion, by this time in the Bitcoin world, majority of people have bought in with an average price higher than $100 that unless a bunch of whales dump to kill the price, will we not see $100.

Also note, that it is not wise for whales to dump to $100, because as long as they dump slowly, they can exit at a price of $400 vs $100...

I would say that if we dip back to $250 that is certainly a nice price to hop in at.

bears in mind that bitcoin can not remain in the same range forever, there is not, for example, 230-300 range forever as a value, simply because of the halving

so two things will happen, we go down and the network will die or we go up and we get a great value
