dev online yesterday but not say anything...
He was online on may 30, not yesterday. Guys I think you need to face up to the unfortunate realisation that the dev has done a runner and won't be back. I could see this happening weeks ago and sold my 50K of CYP at around 1000 sat (which involved me losing about a third of what I'd put in having bought at 1500). The fact the website was offline for so long (and hasn't ever come back on-line) and the CypherCoin2015 Twitter account hasn't tweeted since 25/Apr, plus that appallingly lame video which was pretty much the last thing the dev did, said to me "uh oh....this one's a 'last out turn off the lights' situation". And it looks like that's the case. I'm very sorry for anyone that has hung on thinking this will come good but it's clear it's not going to. The dev started putting a few things in his (or her) posts just prior to my decision to bale that were clear indicators. He'd not been on-line for a week or so and mentioned "problems with job/living issue etc"; almost a guarantee there's an exit in the wind. One would like to think this is salvageable but I don't think it is given what was being worked on and promised. Shame on you Cypher7A69, after taking people's BTC through the IEO process you have promised commitment to this project and now left people high and dry with yet another worthless crypto. You have committed a crime which you will be punished for once found out.

Well if you can step in and head up a community take over (SPR style) then fantastic! My comments were mostly associated with the main thrust behind this coin; the cypher key/module the dev was developing. I'm guessing it would be hard to pick that up and run with it (but obviously not impossible). Maybe the project could morph into something completely different.

I was pretty active here and made nice profit, hopefully I've left it before the dump, and I made a good decision, the dev seems disappeared. Btw, if someone is planning a takeover, probably I'll set some buy now that the price is very low. With a good takeover a 2x or more from this price is pretty easy.

Cypher has a Cryptsy exchange swap listing, which is translates into meaning that Cypher has a much higher valuation than what it is trading at. In fact: investor community would choice a new developer, in the highly unlikely event the developer walks away. Let's discuss facts and evidence from Crypto History: the developer for Mooncoin walked away from his crypto due to family events. Mooncoins' investor community took over the developer responsibilities with the help of Cryptsy and the now Mooncoin is worth $126,000. What developer, who knows their Crypto History, is going to walk away from their coin? It can be quite a big and losing gamble. People who don't own any Cypher, will have no say in who the investor community would pick

I don't see any proof or evidence for anything written on this thread in the last few posts. This ANN is bizarre Nothing astounds me more than when a set of reasonable observations have been made about the likelihood that a dev has bailed (which lets face it....when they're anon, is now a regular occurrence) and some fool retorts back with "I don't see any proof or evidence"... It's not about "proof" it's about the bleeding obvious!! Carry on with your "see no evil, hear no evil...." blinkers on but clearly a dev that hasn't posted for weeks, hasn't answered multiple PMs, has missed a major key date everyone was waiting on without a single update or word and has logged in recently, but said nothing, is hardly committed to assuring the community the project's on track!! Honestly....when are people in these forums going to grow up and realise how easily these things turn bad when there's so little accountability? We're all just kidding ourselves if we think the manner in which this is being handled by this dev is EVEN REMOTELY reasonable. If this was a normal business it would be going bust now and customers would have walked in disgust. But because it's crypto, you have all these hanger-on-ers saying ridiculous things like "I see no proof" when it's so blatantly obvious someone's decided to just quietly slip away and hope no one's noticed. I wish it wasn't, as the thing had potential, so but it obviously is. (And even if he comes back now, he's demonstrated unreliability and lack of care/commitment to his stakeholders)

A missing developer or even a replaced developer is no big deal in Cryptos. It happens all the time. Why make a hiccup, sound like it's a serious issue.

Well I know what you're saying but it's not really "hearsay". In a legal trial hearsay is unverified information gained from another party and not one's own specific personal knowledge, hence it can't be used as evidence. I'm not repeating hearsay, I'm making an observation. If it's but a hiccup....great! As hiccups go it's a pretty big one though and I'm cautioning people to be real and use some common sense about the likelihood of a future here. If a community take-over was to happen and it was successful then I'll be the first to congratulate everyone involved.

Mooncoin, lost developer, replaced by investor community and its' Market Cap $126,000
Fractcoin, lost developer, replaced by investor community and its' Market Cap $24,000
Cryptcoin, lost developer, replaced by investor community and its' Market Cap $16,400
Normally, it is polite to wait up to 3 months for the old developers DNS to stop.
And, a new DNS starts up with the new developer.
Perhaps, you could be helpful, by suggesting new developers?

Off the top of my head: You could contact georgem at Spreadcoin (SPR) who seems to have been instrumental in resurrecting it after their dev bailed. And you could contact TheAltTrader at BitcoinTX (BTX) who seems to be key to that community take-over. Edit: And thelonecrouton at Bitcredits (BCR) who briefly appeared in this thread a couple of times. He may have some good ideas on what to do.

Sent the developer a tweet and PM.
If, there is no reply in 7 days time, I think all of us owners can assume the developer has abandoned the Cypher.
Then, I'll begin using any PM replies from forum members about resurrecting Cypher or, and finding a new developer.

Dev last active Last Active: May 30, 2015, 10:01:54 AM Let's see No, that is not the issue. The developer owns 1.5 million Cypher, if you use the thing between your ears This was BTC from the ICO, used to buy up Cypher. This means, the entire downward pressure on this Cypher coin was created by a Pump and Dump group to scam the developer into using the ICO BTC funds to buy up coins to support the price. The private Pump and Dump group, also, scammed the investors in Cypher out of making a ICO profit. Therefore, this developer is still interested in this Cypher, but is merely pissed off. I own 250,000 Cypher.
