One more question the getpeerinfo is like
60.240.49.38:19390

but in the super.config file
rpcport = 19391

Why the difference?

Thanks.

Port 19390 is used for external connections. Port 19391 is the rpcport and works in combination with the rpcusername, rpcpassword and rpcconnect. As you can see in the conf file it connects only localy (127.0.0.1)

Every coin has those 2 different port numbers, 1 for external connections and 1 that needs to retreive the info from your .dat files for the use in your wallet (the rpc connection)

Question on Supercoin
Are the requirements still the same as below?
Any clients can become service node, if they satisfy some minimum requirements. At this time the requirements are set to the following:
-   Having at least 2 addresses in the client (you can create new address in “receive addresses” tab, with “new address” button.
-   Having a spendable balance of 500 coins

Thanks.
Kiklo

yes they are still the same

there is no difference. there is a connection port. but your computer could potentially choose whatever port it wants to use as a wallet connection and it will still work.

my super port is somewhere in the 22000's cuz my computer redirects it

My ECC wallet(windows) dont work fine, will be the new version soon?

what version are you on and what is wrong with it?

if you are before version 2.2 then it will not be on the right protocol for the right blockchain.

we have a 2.4 wallet but its staking is broken. we have taken it down for a few days until i can debug and fix this problem
Thanks for answering! I'm not home right now, i downloaded ¿2? weeks ago, I can check later
My version is: v2.3.0.0

this version is working 100% correctly. it just takes a while to open (which is why i made / am fixing a new version)
No in my pc(win 7), is reindexing blockchain every 3-5 minutes.
I deleted all except wallet.dat, create a new .conf file and download blockchain. this problem dont disappear

what do you mean by reindexing then blockchain? your wallet is doing chain reorgs?

Perhaps he is referring to the "Checkpoint" error message. If so, simply ignore it. 2.3.0.0 wallet works fine and stakes fine. Keep up the great work guys, we appreciate it!

I have to ask Griffith to upload the 2.3 windows wallet again. I only have the MAC wallet available on  the server on this moment. But I think that the 2.4 wallet will be online this weekend. It will need a full redownload of the blockchain. The 2.4 wallet can only work with it's own blockchain, your old blockchain (2.3) can stay in your data folder, you can use it with the 2.3 wallet...simultaneous use is not possible because they use the same port.

I was able to download the 2.4 wallet before you guys took it offline.
I also downloaded the whole blockchain before I read something was wrong with the staking.
Can I use this blockchain for the fixed 2.4 version?

Regards

Alright. so i believe the staking problem is solved, i ran some new tests this morning which everything in the blocks it staked worked HOWEVER the amount that is minted from those blocks was.... grossly out of proportion (x1,000,000 what it should have been as both blocks minted over 500 million). they of course were rejected by the system and immidiately set as orphan as they should have been so thats good. however this caused the forking of the chain i have so i have to redownload.... im kicking myself now for not backing it up before running new staking tests. a mistake i will not make again. i am redownloading it now and i can continue to run tests on the new wallet as soon as that is finished redownloading....

while that is going i will be working on other code for other parts of the project. so that no time is wasted.

Thanks for the information. It is informative, especially for those that don't realise the amount of time and skill that is needed for good coding.

im considering taking the nSubsidy (coin amount that is rewarded for staking) and just dividing it by 1,000,000 which is what a quick hack fix would be that doesnt solve the actual problem. but id like to see if i can fix the actual staking implementation issue itself instead of taking the shortcut. im comparing every field of the blocks in the chain and finding any differences that might lead me to an answer.

Super and mwc are in danger of de-listing on Bittrex...
Any ideas on how to prevent this?
