I love the work the dev team is doing on this project. I also like how they communicate with the community along the way.
I just checked out Orbital on tor and the website looks great!
Within minutes on the site, I was pretty impressed with the speed and loading of everything. It seems faster than most normal sites, let alone a tor site.
Another great part of the site is that it doesn't hold any coins. Once you register, there is no wallet for your account on the site. No depositing coins. You just add the products to the cart and send them at checkout!
With some more vendors on Orbital, it should be a fairly successful marketplace!
I do have a few suggestions though:
First, I would refer to the site as "Orbital" and not "Tor Market". Just by reading "Tor Market" I was partly under the impression it was a dark market. Especially seeing the marijuana listings.
Second, I would host the site on a normal domain as well as tor. Seeing that it is a full marketplace, and not just a "dark market", it would be great to have Orbital accessible by everyone. There will be far too many people that won't ever even look at the site, just because its on tor and they don't use tor. Hopefully you could accomodate those people as well, expanding the userbase.
Keep up the great work ElektronFoundation. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.
