 Why isn't there a linux QT ?

Just really busy and compiling on linux is something every linux user usually knows how to do.

Once I get some free time I'll get one up, or a community donation would be nice too Smiley

The coin is very fairly distributed so I feel OK asking for that.

Also the rich list will be fixed and back up in a minute.

I can compile, thats not the issue. Ubuntu is gaining quite some momentum for new non-tech users. In some places, you wont see windows or mac, but ubuntu, specifically because its free and works wonders over very old hardware (mid-Asia and Africa and S.America). Coin distribution may be very fair, but real world equality is what crypto's are all about. Not only that, but professionalism (not implying you're not). It looks good, and crypto-standard.

For example; Like in any PR campaign where you have a press-kit, that you distribute massively to the media, with PDF's, pics, audio, video, bio, interviews etc etc - some recipients may only need text and pics (blogs), others might use the video, other the audio... but all in all, they all get the "package" and use it as they see fit.

Also, for the non-tech paranoid, they might choose to do a VM and test the software before trusting it or potentially risking compromise of the main OS. Not everyone knows who is who in crypto, and anything new is almost always treated with scam alerts and FUD. So having a Ubuntu/linux QT ready at hand does wonders for adoption.

It just looks good and more "transparent" for anyone out of the scope of "make"

 Just a thought...

Thanks but I can compile. The whole point of it is exactly that. To come from the official source, not secondary sources.

Usually devs don't post linux wallet since its very easy to compile one on linux

On launch, of course. This is a good example. To limit forking and more pressing matters. But any serious coin would cater to all users from then on. Precisely because it is so simple, not talking about iOS or Droids. If it is so simple, why not have it in the "arsenal" of tools?

The success of any coin relies far more in the hands of the non technical individuals, ergo, adoption. (except Ripple)

can someone explain - why some people are PoSing too much quickly - even 10-20 minutes till next  rewards? (if screenshots are not photoshop). And in my wallet i have only 1 reward block for about 1 day. It needs wait each time 110 confirmations to be coins available>then wait 6-8hours mature coins to stake > then some hours for staking 1 block... ? is that normal or depends on your percent coins in all  weight of posing process?

is there any skills to make posing more effective?

I can't figure it out either. It appears you need to break up your coinage into smaller chunks by sending them to  another wallet and back again in smaller chunks. It also seems if you send any coins at all, the coinage goes back to one big chunk. (If you receive them the coinage seems to remain broken up.)

Sorry about the wallet  mistake in the ANN, it was contracted and I should have checked closer. The link has been fixed.

That might be why we were having some strange net issues. SuchPool has offered to donate us 3 more seed nodes on top of our 4 and we appreciate that! They'll be added to the DNS so they auto-connect in a few hours.

I finished one of the infographics today, it was posted incomplete. and I'm halfway through the second. This will be added to the ANN and theres a lot more coming. Thanks.

Finally an Alt coin that doesn't completely dump to shit after a small pump. This coin has a great future.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I know the ANN isn't beautiful yet and the whole idea needs to be presented better. It's like something like DarkCoin where they just made a new algo and mined it and then blew up and had to scramble to keep up. People seem to really like that dynamic POS feature. I work every day for hours and have been spending money on development, writing, PR (which is coming later, once things look better) and dev work, and helping do each one. Once myself and the team really gets things into place and I start pushing out services for TRON, we're only going to grow.

You can see the whales know I'm true and working hard because they haven't dumped. They believe in this and are lending their personal support, artists, devs, and some funding. That's where all this comes from.

Even the whales or investors think I'm crazy for releasing my dox. But I really believe in this and so far I haven't had any problems or harassment and I appreciate that. I had planned on having to buy a second phone as a personal phone, but things are OK. I released them because even tho all of you are anon, I'm asking you to trust me with a lot of money - and I intend to deliver I want to grow this into something really great.

I'm really going to do this project and I can see that a lot of the disliked people involved, including myself, want a "second chance" to try and restore their reputation with this project. They see the potential. Even my father is investing and that's never happened before, even on Coinye. So thanks to everyone who trusts me on this one, I'm putting everything together and will be registering as Positron Corporation with the IRS and my state govt. I've contacted a couple lawyers and a tax accountant and I'm looking to do all of this as legally as possible under the current confusing regulations. I think we can take alts out of this shady cabal into more of a positive and public light.

I think that someday blockchains will be as common as websites. Under new US laws it will be incredibly easy to license a new crowdfunded project with the SEC and raise money for an idea. Positron aims to be a company that helps people do those things. I've decided to keep the entire process based on members and community voting for the best idea we're presented. For now, I realize that my #1 priority should be TRON and not helping other projects. I raced into that and my investors were unhappy with my announcement to help a struggling coin, and for now, all efforts will be pointed towards TRON. Much advice has been given and they now have the ideas to fix their project, but we won't be involved.

I'll post the docs when that comes and I'm working on the roadmap - it's more work figuring out the timing of everything than is doing the presentation. I'm aiming for quick rapid releases of at least anything interesting to satisfy the market while we work on the large project in the background. One of the ANN infographics was written up today and the road map is about 50% done. There will much more too.

Right now we have people working on articles, PR, website development (we found an amazing php/js coder who is dedicated to the project), auto checkpointing, masternode tech (this will take longer, we have a very different codebase) and other graphics. There's much more in the pipeline that will be announced later. Other members are making lists of media mentions already, they're just small for now, when we're ready to present I will push this hard to the couple media friends I still have from Coinye.

There will be graphics and articles to share these ideas better, but I want to show my vision. The community will see a list of project proposals from developers and thinkers on our social networking site (which is already far into development) and be able to vote on some. The top few crypto project proposals Positron Council in the Positron Directors Lounge (which will include devs and "ceos") and those people vote for which projects they want. It's like "shark tanks for shitcoins", lol, but we put the money, devs, artists, and mining power behind coins to make them something good.

For now until TRON is at top tier presentation and functionality it's my #1 priority and gets my full attention. I know some of you need huge updates and want to see this spike massively right now, but I think the whales are avoiding that for now. If this spikes too high, it crashes just as hard. Lots of angry people will come here and hurt the community. Let it grow naturally and slowly. Maybe it really is something different, give it a chance.

Thank you,

Cryptowest / Dave McEnery

Good to hear. It sounds like things are falling into place nicely and I'm genuinely eager to see your marketing efforts given that you've had such exposure previously with Coinye.

Coinye was one of the few coins that outsiders had actually heard of other than Bitcoin and Dogecoin - perhaps Positron will join them.

And what about MAC wallet?

I just asked someone to make me one, I have a mac but I haven't had time to set up a compile env. Should be later on today.

Yes, the proof with some of the lawsuit is in the first page of the ANN. The rest is on google. I plan to go to the media again once this looks good enough to present. A few reporters message me sometimes to see what I'm working on, but nothing I made was this good. This is the one I'm doing for real. I'm working hard. Finally made something good.

Thanks for the support Smiley
