even if an ICO raised me only 5 btc from people who want to help me out but want a shitcoin to whale around with, it would be enough of a bump (included to my IRL webdev contracts and pc repair crap) then I can work on TRON full time for at least a month, which I would love, and I could buy more TRON to make my work on it feel more rewarding, get a bunch more done and caught up. If I can pull everything together I personally believe TRON can be successful even in the short term.
There are already tons of shitcoins on the market, I think you're overestimating the demand for another one. There's not really a demand, but I know some of my friends with more BTC would buy a little just to support me. Just giving it away is different and they won't do that. Hmmmmmmmm.

Try to hard fork the coin and add in a development fund. Every block adds 0.1 TRON into your wallet.
The people could then chose which client they use. It would be nice to see the result. Will miners support your dev work (new client) or will they demand you work for free (old client)!
I won't do something like this, its too drastic of a change to the TRON code with not enough warning to the supporters, but thanks for taking the time to post.

This dev can't dev because he sucks, now he want another $250,000 to suck out of crypto. Yes I'm sure he scammed at least that much in the past with his crap coins. Why invest in someone who made UTIL?

I'm not sure what they would be getting out of it since the shitcoin wont be exchange listed or further developed. If they really want to support you then donations would be more helpful to you and them, as it would enable you to focus your resources on developing tron.

UTIL was a group project I was part of and it was turned over to the team BlockNET after the team of developers decided they didnt want heavy involvement with that project. I don't think there's $250,000 left in the *active* alt market anyway. More people play 1994's DOOM deathmatch actively today than the number of users logged on trading altcoins with over 5 BTC at any given time. BTC is the most profitable coin with to mine (with over 5 btc volume), and everyone's pissy. I hear ya. Troll away. But I didn't make any 250k, i wish. The goal is to strengthen TRON enough that we can expand services and crowdfund ideas in different industries, to the real world, that's why Positron Technologies is a registered corporation and has IRS registration and employer ID. These things take work and time.

If they really want to support you then donations would be more helpful to you and them, as it would enable you to focus your resources on developing tron. The original idea was to list on c-cex and take 50% of staked coin from a "game" which would either give users a profitable winning stake block, or donate that stake block to a developer account, which the community would allocate for bounties and such. There would likely be a lot of trading and volume, at least for a little while. It's still a stupid idea but there are worse shitcoins launched almost every day and people are plowing money into buying their ICO or mining them. I'm leaning heavily towards NOT doing it, but I'm still considering it. At least I'm being transparent about it and not working on secret projects in the background like most devs are forced to do.

No westraiser, just going to keep moving forward to check off things in the roadmap. The cryptogears social network ICO is in the roadmap for July and I should just focus on following TRONs goals and reach that phase. I can put some more things I don't use on ebay. The arguments made sense and I listened, I don't want to weaken TRON, thanks for the discussion.

I am not in this coin, but I would suggest just doing some part time crypto work if you can to subsidize yourself that way. (I am sure there are legit older coins that can use help here and there) You can also trade other coins for some profit, you would be at an advantage as a coder being able to check code. I don't think some clowns making a lot of money with a Boats and Hookers coin means that is a good thing or a viable model to follow. Best of luck!

for what it's worth I think the fact that you're transparent about all of this is pretty reassuring. I don't think another coin ICO will do any good for you or TRON in general because, to be honest, it doesn't look good. You've got a good ground and have done a shitload of legwork already so why tarnish that? If it means you have to get a job and go to a city then cool, more connections to work on TRON rather than having to rely on people you don't know. TRON has been doing pretty fucking well so far, and there are big things to come if you stay on track..

I would recommend just ignoring coins that have these private slack groups.
agree. any coin looking to finish in the Top100 of 2015 needs a public transparent BCT thread. if you want to do a walled garden, then you don't get my backing.

When someone like West invest his own capital in order to make an actual LLC out of his project. For me he is legit and not a scam. Other devs will not even do that, they are to chicken shit. So fuck all of you FUD bitches stop hatting. If you will not stand with us and move toward, get behind us and see this TRON rocket take of and land on Andromeda.

Tron is supposed to be an accelerator for crypto startups, right?... Why not make dev the first project to fund? Isn't that what the website was for?

I agree that every coin should maintain a strong presence on btctalk, but the fact of the matter is, btctalk isn't the best avenue for communication. Slack provides a quick and efficient way of communicating in real time and it limits the amount of trolling, as btctalk is certainly a playground for trolls at this point. Anyone can join the TRON slack, so it's only a walled garden if you're too lazy to join.
