I feel the real SAD Day was when crypto4jan left the Energycoin team.
Without Jan I believe a lot of trust in the project left with him.
For 5 years he kept the project alive and even through difficult times, he kept me believing in the original Energycoin project.
Even though there are some guys in the current team with cryptocurrency market  experience I feel they do not have heart in Energycoin as crypto currency but are more involved with side projects like saving the world and not for the community of Energycoin and the well being of this project.
There is absolutely no positive communication from the current team like we had when Jan was in control.

It feels as if the Energy has left Energycoin.

You are right, it was a SAD Day when I left the team.
I was mentally not in a good shape and that was because of that I had the feeling the way development was going was not my dream.
Sometimes you have to accept things as they are but not using the EnergyParty was for me the point that I did not want to go further.
I understand that what I had in mind was very complex and not easy to develop with a small team.
I invested some BTC into EnergyParty but I have no development team to create a foundation and make useful use cases.
Now it is just EnergyCoin and that is not a special coin with features others don's have, just a great name for a currency.
My dream was also to defeat Bitcoin because we (EnergyCoin) are green with Proof of Stake.
My thoughts about Bitcoin are more nuanced with BTC lightning network transactions that are less energy-consuming than before.
Also, the energy consumption of BTC mining can give useful value in BTC and security when the energy can't be used for other applications.
But still, 51% of my thoughts are against these waste of energy by mining.

So I still am a member of the EnergyCoin community.
I hope people find new faith int the products the team is developing.

I have good news for people who have a small wallet and want to accumulate more ENRG in case the exchange rate is rising in the future.
I saw new buy support in CREX24 so that is seriously possible!
I contacted Brian, my old partner in EnergyCoin Foundation and we decided to use the option

Hi ENRG and STK people,

Today I did my first trade 1:25 STK for ENRG.
I had to send 25k ENRG and I decided to change the rate to 1:10 from now.
With 100K STK I had tp pay 2.5M ENRG and that is too much.
For STK there is no application, only the link I made with ENRG.
So the next trades I pay 1:10 but that can change after each trade.

If you can forward the port on your router it would help it get more connections.    Its hard to give an exact solution as your network setup might vary the connectivity of the wallet.    I used to run a setup on a laptop with bad wifi, it appeared fine but really the quality of the connection and speed available combined with an awful hard disk, low memory available meant it was severely disadvantaged when updating and took many days if not freezing.   If you have a perfect hard wired machine to initially setup then transfer in completion to the more mobile or low spec device, that would be ideal imo.
   If theres questions on the wallet generally, post on this thread but also pm and I'll look to repeat those steps on my own wallet and reply.

I dont think proof of stake has really been tested properly yet by the market and by the vast population of users in crypto, I do imagine this will occur at some point.   Market prices arent always the best guide, we can see some upcoming BTC prices that will be inaccurate longer term and weak hands unfamiliar with much lower prices will get scared out possibly..   ENRG being much smaller can be extreme in its price volatility positively and negatively, theres two questions ahead in whether alt coins overall will be useful or needed compared to Bitcoin and then which path is most likely to succeed and will best serve society.
   I still do hope POS is at least tested by a large population of users for its attributes better matching capitalism and being better decentralised then the large mining operations in POW.   I dont think we're received an answer and I dont think this journey is over by far, theres multiple layers yet to unwind from the largest macro money down to the tiny end users and which system helps them best.  I will always favour the billions of people for determining the path of economies long term, we're not even close to that outcome yet as central banks continue to dominate policy with politics and this reflects in crypto imo.

ENRG is a great counterpart for BTC, I think POW and POS should be balanced.
ENRG and STK are one of the candidates.
