Just a thought, is there any plan in the future where in ENRG can be used as payment to install energy saving features to the home such as Solar panels etc. That would truly boost this coin. All you would need is one vendor who agrees to accept ENRG as payment.
Something to think about.
This sounds a lot like Greencoin; it pays solar power producers. I wonder if the two coins could work together somehow? Yes that is possible in the future. The first application is EnergyParty with assets and these assets need some ENRG as fee the send to other users. The other feature of EnergyCoin is that it is a kind of a share in the total ecosystem and value today is about $ 15M. Then we want users of the ecosystem hold some EnergyCoin and offer them ways to collect them and hope they see ENRG as investment and get stake rewards supporting the network. Finaly I think an environmental marketplace is the ultimate goal where people can bid on solar panels, Tesla and other energy saving gadgets. When the price of ENRG rices on exchanges they can get the goods and services in this way speculation is tempered. Working together with other environmental coins is also possible, I think we can eat the other coins and offer them a little share based on marketcap. Sounds great if all comes to fruition. I would imagine all this would take us to 2018 Q4 or even 2019. Given how this coin has been trending that is definitely in the realm of possibility. Yes is shall take some time to reach a level that EnergyCoin can be used on an marketplace but it is a goal for the future. It starts when we have real application and that is the next stap after EnergyParty. Happy staking, Brian |

Indeed time will tell.
We choice to make it broader than just energy and give each community/application their own tokens on EnergyParty.
Good news there are 36 nodes on version v1.6.0!
Only 3 on v1.5.1 so the hard fork shall be successful!
Then we can bring EnergyParty to mainnet!
Tomorrow we have meeting with a design studio helping us to design a new website!
Our new branding is on track and that is an important baby step in our roadmap besides launch of EnergyParty.

For some reason I thought it needed more of a conversion to do the mandatory update, so I was putting it off. Actually in the end I just used the bootstrap files and it was straightforward, that also includes the larger nodes conf file so it connects fine and version 1.6.0 works fine from there. I just mention this to anyone not bothering to upgrade, its not a big deal to do. If you are uncertain where to put the files it can actually be put wherever you like even a portable USB. Just attach -datadir= just written after the end of your .exe. If you create a shortcut, this -datadir= would be added onto the end of the target field or you can type it in manually in a dos box added on etc. |

We hit block height 2.39m. New fork is already in place!
Everything runs smoothly as planned.
The EnergyCoin mainnet is now Energyparty compatible. This is a new page for EnergyCoin.
And users can now send transactions with default tx fee of 0.001 ENRG per kbyte, which is 10x less than before.

We have after the fork now only supportfor EnergyParty, 10x lower transaction fee, improved for multisig and support for softfork, so new improvements can be done by 95% consensus. First it says next stake time is 8 hours then few hours later it says 5 hours. After hours it says next stake time is 8 hours again. Now everything running smoothly. |
