Here is the info for Renovations Usa, Inc. https://ourcpa.cpa.state.tx.us/coa/servlet/cpa.app.coa.CoaGetTp?Pg=tpid&Search_Nm=USA%20Renovations%2C%20Inc.%20&Button=search&Search_ID=32039600666

that posting being from trendon in 2009, do we suppose he worked for them? or was working on contract to setup some IT related stuff for them?

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

The guy in the top photo was not in Vegas, or at least I did not see him...

They are not the same guys...

Did you get the name of the guy next to Giga there, then?

This is quite a suspicious place to start a business after launching service that resembles a money laundering scheme (GPUMAX) and one that resembles a ponzi (BTCS&T)

Which made me think of this post...

The story should have involved a cia agent in the passenger seat dressed as a cabbie in trainning, and when mentioning pirate the car screeches to a halt only to be suddenly swarmed by a passing by SWAT team, coming full force with guns drawn screaming at "HOW DO YOU KNOW SUBJECT TRENDON SHAVERS?"
Hey I got it, we can get all our money back.  Let's work on a script about this whole thing but really Hollywood it up.  Get Bruce Willis to play the ripped off boss to take down... I don't know... how about Kevin Smith from Clerks to play pirate and we can add in all the crazy drama we want.  We get the show and the money plus it is like Die Hard 4 without the jet and a little more believable.  Send me the treatment and I will go pitch and let you know what they say.

Man this whole situation is just going and going......

Obviously not all of these companies can fit into Suite 500, 815 Brazos St.  There's likely an accountant or lawyer there acting as registered agent and the companies are using their office as a registered business address (this is common the world over and implies no connection between the companies themselves).

http://www.corporationwiki.com/Texas/Austin/815-Brazos-St-Ste-500-Austin-TX-78701-a17332777.aspx

The Lending Partners isn't some small time operation recently thrown together.

aye, his partner Zak Nakaska worked for them, and it is likely trendon did as well. they write a LOT of mortgages in the area there, that company that is. trendon and zak were fiarly standard employees and not wirting loans..

We know Zack's role at TLP.

Lead Programmer
The Lending Partners
August 2007 – September 2008 (1 year 2 months)

• Developed automated alerting system for proprietary loan software to improve QA.
• Created time clock software and web backend to track employee working hours.
• Integrated time clock system with RFID card reader to automate time tracking.
• Designed and developed paid time off system to manage vacation requests, track vacation hour usage and accrual, and integrate with time clock system.
• Created system to take an MLS# and generate a complete open house flyer with images, specs, and loan financing information.

Rylan Shavers listed The Lending Partners on his old MySpace, so I think he probably worked for them.  I haven't come across anything which confirms that Trendon did, though (Rylan and Zack are linked on social media, so I think both Shavers brothers know Zack IRL).

There's a hell of a lot more than that.  Google the address and there are a shit-ton of companies.  As mentioned upthread, Incorp Services operates from that address and they only charge $99 to act as registered agents for businesses.

Sad to see that a lot of potentially innocent people (even pictures of children!) are being named-and-shamed in this topic, all because a bunch of people were too greedy to properly detect a scam and can't handle that they gambled and lost.

Cool story, except I knew his name, birth date, and city of residence before the his BTCST thread made it past the first page.  Those who didn't know didn't bother to look.

One question.  Have you been paid?  No?  Yeah, I thought not.

That has nothing to do with the misinformation I was correcting.

But since you ask, I made enough withdrawals before the closure to pay out all my pass through customers from my own pocket and still break even.  So, yes, some people have been paid and I took no loss.  It's still not impossible that I will receive a partial payout which will be pure profit.  On top of that, I hedged with Matthew for 200 BTC, so unless he reneges on his bet I'll be up by at least 200 BTC.

But nice attempt at upsetting me.

titling himself as Director.
Dudes, please don't read too much into the official titles. FinServ racket is notorious for the inflation of job titles. For example: many of the completely legitimate stock brockerage houses will confer the title of "vice president" to anyone had passed the very basic "series 7 exam", went through the probationary period and had shown the abitlity to retain at least one profitable client.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_7_Exam

Please just try to read any job title as: "account executive" or "salesperson on commission" to better understand the financial services sector.

Edit: For any of the readers who are not from the USA: please go to youtube and search for the clips from the movie "Boiler room". Then search for the initial interview scene where anyone who had passed "Series 7" is asked to leave.

Actually I've found the clip, but the sound isn't good:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvICN8DNMpY

Edit 2: OK, for anyone unfamiliar with the FinServ racket: the movie "Boiler Room" is a dramatization, but factually based, of the Stratton Oakmont brokerage house.

Edit 3: Stratton Oakmont sales people worked over the telephones. Please understand that this doesn't translate directly to working over the bulletin board like bitcointalk.org. But the principles are the same, just the medium is different.

Edit 4: Please compare the following links:

Personally, I like to think of the whole Pirate Vegas trip to have involved a night where all the main players were up that went something like Glenngary Glen Ross.
