Please add https://spr.suprnova.cc as pool!

Please add the pool to the OP Smiley

Any miner in any assumed pool can always just steal the block reward instead of following the rules set up by the pool.

It's for your own good that I don't put your pool in the OP.

Nope, they cannot, i have fixed that already long time ago.

Noone can steal anything as everything gets encrypted

Are your miners here open source?

The website header is amazing.

I've been following a couple of the nodes and they don't seem to be just gifs, you can following them for hours (well, a minute or two). Fantastic.

yep, html5 canvas with javascript, pretty much all browsers are now capable of running this.... welcome to the future (of no flash plugin)

Yes, they are all on my github, just the encryption key (256 bit) is secret. Did you follow the old thread? Smiley

Its silly to mine with a pool and pay a fee. Still solo mining. I'm ok. Pool mining centralizes, SPR was the solution to pool centralization. What is the name of the ANN? "Decentralize everything". It's the responsibility of the miner to remain decentralized. Pools will always be around.

OCminer, I like your pools and you are to be trusted. It's just the nature of pools and such to be able to get their piece of the pie. But to say you fixed it, no... It wasn't broken. You only re-coded it to allow your pool to function as normal, that's pool evolution on your end (hats off to you Smiley) -- but for intents and purposes in this case: de-evolution of SPR. But this shows that for a coin to be "pool-less or pool-free", Georgem has work to do if that's one of SPR's goals, or like I said, it's just the responsibility of the miners to mine accordingly. Smiley

I see your pool has found 23 blocks in the last 24 hours with 18mh? I've found 12 on my own with 3.8Mh. Wink

It's all open source.

All that special stuff which had been built in to prevent pools has been fully encrypted by me, no one can read the privkeys.

I just stopped work on the pool stuff since the interest on the coin literally vanished, hopefully it comes back. Several other pools had contacted me also to help them setting up the encryption stuff, so probably if price goes up, more pools will be available.

Oh and I would be glad to make the pool 0% Fee if that helps..  It is a community thing..

Of course you are always able to Solo

From memory there are several theoretical ways to create a public pool for SPR and I vaguely remember ocminer being the first to make one work (it was a while ago). Props to OCminer.

it's basically what you can already read at the bottom of the first page of the website. ("upcoming features") http://spreadcoin.info

Roadmap will just be in more detail, and list the more immediate tasks that are ahead of us.
Ofcourse I can get very speculative about the far future in the roadmap, but I will not do this ATM.

Thats the best bit...we have no idea about the far future of this project.  Thats the beauty of it.  Its not up to us which direction it takes.  All we can do is start it off with a strong foundation, build the first few services and community demand will dictate where the service goes in the future...

A decentralised internet search engine?

WTF.

Does that mean we can run AdWords?

That means we will need a decentralised browser  Smiley

lol, I've been thinking about this...
Generating revenue for the servicenodes thru annoying advertisements of any kind is not the solution.

But what if everybody with a SPR wallet can "hire" the service node network to do very specific search tasks... ?

For example:

"I give you this picture here and 1 SPR.... find websites that also contain this picture (or similar pictures)"

A few minutes later the results start coming in...

That means we will need a decentralised browser  Smiley

EXACTLY right.

I've been dreaming about a decentralized browser since the days I went "all in" on namecoin about two years ago, lol.

A decentralized in-wallet browser with blockchain access also finally makes it easy to browse those *.bit (namecoin) or...

let's say *.coin (spreadcoin) domains?

And so the endless realms of possibilities begin.

Yep, you know what... let's wait with the roadmap, I'd rather chat with you guys a little longer and gather more material.
But what I will put online later is the next immediate "TO DO" list for the month of may.

How about the big elephant in Bitcoin's room.  Is there a way a SpreadCoin service node could incentivise somebody to run a full bitcoin node?
