Thirty Days since BetterBets.io Launch 2015-06-16

Hello everyone, I wanted to set aside some time to recap the first thirty days since the launch of our Bitcoin Casino BetterBets.io. This blog is a time for me to reflect on the business and people who have made it into what I feel was a solid launch month and one I can personally be happy with.

Here is some background only our team and Moneypot's team knows just for historical purposes. My team and I originally started working on BetterBets last year. We were already interested in Bitcoin and tried our hands at trading and gambling. Enjoying both but preferring the thrill of Casino's we decided to start our own. Originally the Casino was going to be like others and be it's own separate entity until April when I came across Rhavar's post releasing Moneypot.com into the world. I knew this project combined with our own had huge potential. I am no stranger to the difficulties many of you have gone through; I too “Got GoXXED” when Mt. Gox went under. Also we are fully aware of many of the other scandals that have occurred. We knew that integration would not be simple, I also knew Lobos had the entire wallet system already developed. His first responses were: “Whoa that is a neat idea, but wait...does this mean I have to scrap weeks of work I did on the wallet integration, the back-end and the entire provably-fair architecture???!”. Although it required changes, after long talks we decided to contact Rhavar (a great conversation ensued) and thus the merger was born.

Launch month was fun but hectic, getting everyone's attention in a market that is dominated by established Casino's like Just-Dice, Primedice, and the like is no easy task. I am not trying to deter anyone from creating something in the Bitcoin space but be prepared for that fact that you will have to offer something new and original and that you will be working 18 hours a day/seven days a week in order to get any real traffic. It has been very rewarding though, our players have been simply amazing with suggestions and we have taken many of them as enhancements. We built BetterBets with a focus on the player and many have told us they are shocked by the quality and concepts, many of which we created just because they are things we would want from a Bitcoin Casino ourselves. Our company motto is “Improve Beyond Expectations”; and we take this very seriously when creating new games, concepts, or features.

Though we are a young Casino we have solid ideas and new developments that are being worked on daily. Thank you to our players who have made this Casino what it is and welcoming everyone with such genuine and kind words. You know who you are, the players that take the time to help, the ones who keep things light and fun. When I say I wish you the best of luck at BetterBets I truly mean it, hearing of your daily wins and funny jokes keeps us confident we are creating a site worthy of players’ enjoyment. This is not based on luck although its a little bit luck but the more you roll the higher chance that you can get, so better starts now or later you will regret it and submit your ticket to get the monthly prize

Well I doubt that it is bug, this is because you just got a bad luck. Anything may happen in dice even worst than yours
If you wonder it, you can verify your bets since there is provably fair mechanism by Moneypot.

ive had long loss streaks which have bust me even at 90% win chance yes lol but as long as there is a chance it could happen no matter how low the chance sadly this has cost me many times lol

Sorry for the bad streak today Amiry, just remember we have zero control over bets as all are processed through the moneypot API and their provably fair system.
Sometimes it helps to activate Luck Forging to gain our 0.1% house edge when you see a streak continue but in the end it's luck.

Sorry to see this in simple definition of gambling where is the house edge exist there anything can happen, i think that calculator does not know about your luck and the day so that when betterbets using 3rd party moneypot provably fair system for versification than it looks normal for me.

I'd say it's just bad luck. I've looked at the code for betterbets and moneypot and can assure you that there is no rigging involved in bets. The way that betterbets uses the API for placing bets over moneypot is secure.

90 % chance to win doesnt mean that you will only lose once every 10 rolls. It could be 10 loses in 10 rolls as well although the chances for it to happen are close to zero

Unfortunately there is nothing to be done here if you think this is rigged then you have to take your complain to Ryan here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1020726.0 . Owner of the site which uses moneypot's API has zero control to the outcome of the roll and only Ryan has a control over it.

Even if the site owner wanted to tamper the bet result, fake a data regarding number of rolls or BTC wagered , they couldnt do it because they have zero control over it. Short words, you are getting into bad luck

Hello to all the good players at BB....and hi to Arallmuus, Lobos, Bjorn and all the team...
Well, today we see that many players feel sad because the streak has became Megatron....and some of us thought
there were a bug, and some of us thought that it is unfair for them...cos most of them had play the dice in other casinos....

I am not a genius in Maths, and afterall i am just new to this casinos gambling. So i just paid a visit to a few bitcoin casino here and there.
And, oh my god, only BB offer bot that roll fast and offer 100000 run limit. A few casino also offer the bot, but not as fast as BB.

During the visit, i realise that if i bet at 100 limit, at 90% win chance, i have around 3-4 streak only. Then i increase the bet limit 1000. Later,
i up the limit to 10,000....but of course it takes nearly 2 hours to complete the cycle. Finally, i understand the influence of run limit towards the
streak...

Guys, at house edge 1%, the higher run limit, you guys put, the more streak you will get. So back to the basic principal of gambling, 99%=luck and
1%=strategy.....
