Status Update:

I am currently running through some finalization tests and tweaks to make sure everything is operating as intended. This part is taking a little longer than I expected, however I am still working full pace on it and feeling confidant. (In short I am trying to ensure that the transition into POS will not see any difficulty bottlenecks that could cause network slow downs or halts). I feel it is important to make sure everything works properly on the first run this time, even if it means a minor delay in the launch.

Once complete, I need to use the final specs to:
A: Finalize the new GFX for the new ANN thread. (I will be starting a completely new thread for GE.)
B: Finalize the new Game of Greed website.
C: Finalize the Greed -> GE swap form.

Once all this is done I will give a short heads up notice before launching GE and beginning the swap.

Ran into a couple last second setbacks but I'm happy to say I finally overcame them.

The only thing I can think of that's left to do is changing the wallet art, and making everything go live.

Going to shoot for a 6PM EST launch. That's ~3.5 hrs from this post. Gives people time to get home from work, and me time to eat and re-energize before the swaps start pouring in.

This one will be interesting I think. Looking forward to going live. Grin

Edit* Also, I'm guessing nobody noticed, but I had to reboot the primary Greed seed node a few times. Nothing to stress over if anyone did happen to catch it.

Soooo, I've converted most of my coins to GE, but kept a couple k in my Greed wallet for staking. However, I'm confused by the 'exchange rate' (seemed like I got a LOT less coin in the trade), and what is the advantage to making the trade? I've tried to read all the posts & info about all this, but just got even more confused. Huh

Would you please, in plain English, help me understand?

It's a 100:1 rate in order to shrink the supply down below 1 mil. You get less coins, but still roughly the same % of the total supply.

The advantage is that starting at block 15,000 you have chances to stake large rewards that would significantly reduce your bottom line if you get them. Careful weight management will bring you profits in this one.
