Do you want to see something in the wallet? We could cook something up. It's not in the roadmap, but what the hay.

Mock it up and tell us what you want to see.

Edit: if you just want data, we could add a "getmyturbo" RPC.

Edit 2: It looks like we can just add the turbo column to the File:Export menu option.

Could be cool to see either in wallet or on a website somewhere some simple graphs and charts.  Track the rate at which your multiplier, total coins, and % of the total coins changes.  All the data necessary for creating graphs like that should be able to be pulled from the block explorer.  Being able to pull up a top ten list of the largest changes in those categories within a given time frame would be cool.  It would add to the competitive nature of the coin, and encourage people to constantly be optimizing their staking strategy.  Don't know how tough that would be to pull off though or how much work you wanna put into this since this period only lasts 30 days.

The part in bold is easy enough to spit out from an RPC call for a given public address. As a graph, this is a triple Y. It could be broken into a minimum of 2 graphs. We'll see what we can do. No one on the team is a Qt expert. If it looks like we have to get too deep into Qt, then it's simple enough to make it an RPC that can be copy-pasted for a spreadsheet program. I did have to do a little Qt programming to get the Turbo Stake multiplier reported, so a Qt addition is not too far-fetched.

Just a couple questions, min age is 2 days with turbostaking is there any reason to try and stake your coins before they mature? And when does turbostaking start at end of POW or just when you have mature coins?

The answer to this question is clear cut. You might as well open your wallet for staking now. You want to stake as much as you can. Holding until you gain some weight is going to rob you of compounded Turbo Stake interest.

The first stakes should start in a little more than 9 hours.

Yes. This has to do with Tor. It results in some communication problems between nodes that can slow down synchronization. As you discovered, the best approach is to be patient during sync.

We made Tor built-in because it has a couple of advantages. First, nodes find each other easier because Tor allows exposure of the default port that other nodes look for, even if you are behind a NAT router. Second, the physical location of your computer is unknown to all but maybe some government agencies that have bigger things to worry about than the fact that you run a Synergy node. The latter means you don't have to worry about random hackers trying to attack your computer just because they saw your IP address in a node list.

I hope this doesn't invite a pedantic discussion of the merits and shortcomings of Tor. We make no claims about how anonymous it is except that it is much more anonymous than an IP address.

Turbo Stake Reporting

On the overview page, the Turbo Stake multiplier is listed in red and written as "Turbo: NNx", where NN is the multiplier. The stake above represents your actual reward with the the multiplier applied. For example, let's say your multiplier is 5x for a stake in which you were rewarded 5 SNRG. That means your stake would have been 1 SNRG had Turbo Stake not been applied. Because you had a 5x Turbo Stake multiplier, your actual reward was 5 SNRG (1 SNRG * 5x = 5 SNRG). In this case the 5 SNRG is reported in the transaction list in the overview page.
