I love the fact of over 500 coins out there. Most have the same attributes, but None have the team players that are jumping into Startcoin/join community.The very fact that people worldwide are building infrastructure that is amazing.Finally pros that looked at hustory and said shit we will do that but way better. There is nothing wrong with Litecoin, but I don't think it has that little something extra to become a true leader. It really comes down to what the whales will do since it has such a high market cap compared to most altcoins.

At least one whale, maybe the biggest of them all, has clearly stated his intention with StartCOIN, just as he did with Litecoin back in the days (I think late 2013). He might be worth listening to.

Besides, StartCOIN is not so complicated - just take a look at the brand new startcoin.com

I think the Max Coin crew (or some of them from before) want to do a repeat of MAX's launch etc.
and their manipulative pump and dump on the scene where they made a ton of money.

I fully understand the temptation of Karl and/or anyone else of swapping from altcoin to altcoin with "network of dedicated backers" etc etc.. pumping and dumping. It makes perfect sense.

But if an altcoin comes around that is actually not just another pump and dump, I think it should first and foremost concentrate on one thing: demonstrating how it is different to bitcoin, and secondly how important that difference is.

But compare it's market cap ($5.000.000) to other altcoins that do not have the same support and no other advantages as well:

Dogecoin    $ 19.000.000
BitShares   $ 16.500.000
Dash         $ 16,300.000   
Stellar       $ 15,600.000   
Nxt           $ 12,500.000
Peercoin     $ 10,900.000

With the current support you can expect the value of StartCOIN to hit about $15.000.000 or more within the next months.
So it will be about 0,6$ / StartCOIN, even if it's a pump&dump.

I think this opportunity has some decent risk&reward ratio. I bought some coins after the little dip today.

I understand about the premining being suspicious, but i've been looking at this very closely and it seems they are using the premined coins to give back to the people that support crowdfunding projects (which is a noble thing). The coins they give away can then be used to be put back into the crowdfunding platform to support more projects.

You can't compare this with any other altcoin out there because the business model around it is self-sustaining because crowdfunding is HUGE. I didn't really understand until i did a lot of research and heard Max Keiser say the premining and future mining is "quantatative easing for the people." I can't see how anybody can be against that really.

Why do you think I'm one of just a few people posting here? Because the others are out there in the rest of the world doing more important things like building the infrastructure. Its still way, way to complicated for ordinary people, they see no use for it, and I don't blame them. That's why it's important to build an infrastructure that actually is better than the one existing. I think StartJoin and BnkToTheFuture have come along way in that process in a very short time. The investment platforms are up and running now, and doing a good job at fetching money from ordinary investors for crypto related projects like shapeshift, bitcoin capital and more. That's  the first thing a new economy needs, investments. Then comes the utility, in the form of ATM's and point of sales infrastructure like Bitpay and Startpay. These are being worked on now after getting investments from the startjoin platform. Then there is marketing - currently mostly done on social networks, and on RT, I don't know yet how that will develop. Market cap of the coin should, and will develop as these developments continue. The reason for the sharp rise now is (in my opinion) that it has been very undervalued, and it still is.

Yes, for Litecoin price it does. And for Startcoin too at the moment. What we call whales are early investors, and any new business need investors to get started.

The banks are already experimenting with coins themselves. How that will pan out is still to early to say. I hope they don't succeed of course since these parasites should be put out of business once and for all.
