Usually i use Bitcoin to make deals and trades online , but i think holding some coins nowadays is a good idea because we expect the price will increase in the near future
Yeah me too. I am holding it for now. Just seeing it rising up more makes me thrilled everyday. Though it goes down sometimes the price increase is still there. Maybe I will trade it when it is really high.

I use Bitcoin to function as my own Bank, i've had alot of hassle from actual banks doing this and actually the Bitcoin economy isn't anywhere near mature enough to side step fiat.
I do this as well. It's nice to save up without having to worry about the banks taking your savings or even taking a risk in that. I use bitcoin to save up my money, just in another currency, because I believe bitcoin will grow in value in these years to come.

Lately I've been taking a look at Xapo recently launched market where you can buy games and other products at discounted prices. The interface looked very nice and easy to browse, there should be more big e-commerce sites with Bitcoin as the standard way of payment, mainly for digital goods and services.

I use bitcoins on a monthly basis. However, it is never the real bitcoin because i do exchange the coins for dollars through sell among other things. It is through the dollars I receive from the selling that I am able to pay for my bills, rent and take care of my entire family. I have never spend the real coins on a daily basis but only done so when trading. Most people today to use coins on a daily basis but indirectly. It is hard to have the real coins spent on daily transactions.

Speculation/Investment/Saving - 70 (34.7%) Online shopping - 37 (18.3%)
this is the two biggest poll,an i agree with this, bitcoin is match for speculation, investement and saving, and of course online shopping. and maybe some years again, mirco payment will get on second.

That poll was taken a long time ago. I think many changes will be shown if new poll will introduced. Well I think the rank 1 is for Speculation again.

I just noticed it when someone from their customer support pop ups in my screen. So many new featured like buying games. Didn't exploring it 100% too as of now.

I might stop by and if see that there is something I like there I might also put some of my cpoins there to pay for the said discounts. Feels excited.

Gambling (8.9%) I`m in this 8.9 %. I use it for gambling daily. I was talking about it in some other comment, in my town there isnt shops for coins or similiar things but when that comes i will for sure use it in other places. For now I dont have enought coins to buy something like some electronic device, and I`m working on that daily. Maybe I will come here for 6 months and tell u whats changed, I expect tottaly different situation.

Someone told me that 50% of bitcoins use is for gambling. That seems awfully high, could it be right though? I certainly use it for gambling, but also for investing.

Yes that might be true. A lot of people are in to gambling. And because it is safe and anonymous there is chance that your percentage might be right. Just look at the forums. Full of signature campaign of gambling.

I would think 'darknet shopping' would have been much higher. In 2013, it would have come right underneath Speculation.

And besides Silk Road got busted but you know its still alive. We are just not aware about the numbers of usage of btc in dark purposes because of course its dark. If all people using it will vote in the poll here in this thread then I see it will rank 2 or 3.

I buy steam stuff with bitcoins. Many sellers sell CSGO and TF2 keys as well as other steam games and items at a discount if you trade in bitcoins for them.
Sometimes, and just sometimes when I get bored and I have some leftover coins I entertain myself going on Primedice and have a go at dice. But i don't do that often.

I mainly trade with bitcoin, but save 50% of all my profits to use for purchases. But even then, my purchases are on digital goods, i've never bought physical goods with bitcoin yet. I really don't feel it's well accepted in my country yet.

It's a lie without any doubts as the ambling market is definitely not bigger than 100k bitcoins and there have been approximately 15 million bitcoins mined till today.... not even close to that figure.
