Brazil is taking the lead with this without any doubts, I think 150 stores is a lot and it will grow more and more if the bitcoin will get more popular these days.

I think brazil has been showing great development within the bitcoin community but I think the UK is even bigger right now bitcoinshop wise.
Alot of parts of EU are still undepropulated bitcoin wise though so I would love to see improvement in those areas as well.

That's really great,I hope there are more countries where BTC is accepted as a means of payment and actually it is that spread across people as a way to pay

It's bizarre. I wrote a comment in early January and people still saying that BTC is making sucess in Brazil. Like I said, 150 stores is almost nothing if you think you have a continental country size. I see many people praising Brazil for actuation in BTC scenario but f*** it...  BTC is like a alien thing to "normal" people... statisticaly nobody knows it here. If we take the same amount of people and size them in a place like Belgium i.e it's cool. But here you have more than 5000 km from north to south and a diversification so huge that in one side people are walking in seaside houses with rowing boats, many violence and disaster occuring in big city, the official currency is a joke like the government and, even if it looks like a good prospect country I say, it's not. Here as the official currency is worth less, you have to convert brazilian reals to us.dollar to buy BTC plus the profit of the vendor (what is absurd (not intentionally, but sellers are normal commerce people, and they eat, they go to markets, etc.... everything is because taxation is spread all over the way)... mining here is just a dream... --- I'm in this "second job" because of a coincidence consequence of a university project --- so, for normal/new people it's extreme non-sense, since here you got the most expensive energy (proportionaly) in the world. I mean, study well the case, don't do just a dumb comment to count in campaign. The case is very deep.

I don't think it is going to be 200 only. Look at the date when op posted this thread. I'm pretty sure it is already 400-500 stores in Brazil. And for sure the nearby countries of Brazil are going to see that there is something new with Brazil regarding its currency. And if they are also going to adopt bitcoin because of Brazil then that is going to be good news.

Since this topic it already has a lot more stores without any doubts, this topic is pretty old so I'm sure that it has been grown since.
I hope more country's will follow but we still have to see this!

Yeah i hope my country will follow brazil in terms of store that accept bitcoin.  At this point, I can hardly find any store that accept bitcoin in my country except for one exchange processor that enables me to pay for my bill  thur bitcoin, or send a remittance using my bitcoin balance and convert it to  fiat money.

Someone told the truth here, for a continental size country, this is nothing and bitcoin people are on their own bubble of speculation and other microservices.
When people do a country like Las Vegas of Bitcoin we can have more hope in this coin, maybe more 20 years to bitcoin reach the world but you know, the fees will be giant and it will have no way to use if none create a sidechain or something like that.. lets wait for the next episode. the real question is: What altcoin will break the bitcoin?

Don't worry about it here in our country there are already stores that are accepting bitcoins already. But I guess they are not reaching to 20 stores but still we must be thankful about that and this is going to be an inspiration to us that Brazil is the one that has a lot of stores that are accepting bitcoins, hopefully this is nearly to happen.

Brazil has alot of stores that accept bitcoin this post was quite a while ago so i can only imagine it grew even bigger with more shops.
Other countries should learn from this and replicate. If we would have 200+ bitcoin stores in every country then the btc value would be over the roof.

A lot of people never expected this and I also never thought that Brazil was into the bitcoin till I saw this.
I must say its pretty insane but also pretty nice that they have so much stores it can maybe boost there economy in the future.

Well I guess Brazil has already 500+ stores already because the epidemic adoption of bitcoin is really high and that is going to be more as the time goes by. And yes, that is going to make a good adoption to bitcoin if those nearby countries to Brazil is going to do the same and accept bitcoin.
It is just like imitating something and keep on re-producing it, I hope that is going to happen to for other countries.

Any place in which the economy is not doing well is a place in which bitcoin can flourish, since people can take advantage of the new opportunities that open up due to the weakness of the political and banking sector.

The same thing here in my country, I hope they are going to do the same just what Brazil did to the stores there. But still maybe there are a lot of bitcoin users already in Brazil so they have implemented that to 150 stores already. So if our government is going to see that there are a lot of users and supporters of bitcoin here then maybe that is possible.s

Wow this image is one of the best i have seen this year. Having so many shops accepting bitcoins makes me proud. Very proud that we are part of something that is getting bigger and bigger every day.

This was last year though... but I get your point I guess. It's great that we are a part of this it's just less great that's it's not happening in alot of countries yet. Everybody deserves to use their prefered payment method so we should get more support.

But still maybe there are a lot of bitcoin users already in Brazil so they have implemented that to 150 stores already. So if our government is going to see that there are a lot of users and supporters of bitcoin here then maybe that is possible.s

Countries that have stores that accepts bitcoin are lucky ones and people in Brazil are really lucky at all. Don't worry about it guys I do believe also that our countries are going to accept bitcoin soon and once it happened it is going to be another success for bitcoin. And you are lucky because there are users already in your country.
I'm not feeling worries but I feeling doubt because that is will stop the government for excavating the money of their civilians and I think there is not a clear thing when that is will happen in our country.
